Randall has spent the last few years attending school in a small Michigan town where being gay wasn’t exactly common. Now Randall is ready to lose his virginity, but he never thought he’d run into his one night stand at his sister’s wedding. Hunter has been in a funk ever since his best friend was injured overseas and he’s not interested in a relationship. I liked that even though Randall was a virgin, he still knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. He could be a little awkward at times but it was in an endearing way. Hunter was your stereotypical “I only do casual sex” type of guy but he wasn’t obnoxious with it. I liked both Hunter and Randall, however, they suffer from a serious case of miscommunication all throughout the book. Overall, Save the Date was enjoyable but nothing overly special, at least for me. This wasn’t too bad, though not one of my more favorite Annabeth Albert books.

Randall is his sisters Man of Honor. His one night stand leads to more than he bargainers for when Hunter turns out to be the grooms Best Man and best friend. Hunter gentleness and tenderness to Randall during the wedding weekend are delightful and lead to mixed emotions and feelings Recommend.

Liked the way Hunter was able to understand and be thoughtful of Rand's feelings. Very intuitive. Cant go wrong with a tough guy that has and shows feelings.

A lovely novella about a one night stand that turns into happily ever after. Randall is his sister’s “man of honor” that means taking her on a bachelorette pub crawl that includes a famous gay bar, there he meets Hunter after some talking they decide to take the party to Hunter’s room, there they spend some pretty sexy moments ones that neither of them will forget after the one night stand especially because as it turns out Hunter is also involve in the wedding! After being thrown together with wedding business they come to know and like each other more and more taking their connection outside the bathroom to inside the bedroom a few more times. In just a few days they find they have a really especial connection and now is all about taking a chance. Both character’s PoV were a joy to read, I flew through this story because the Randall and Hunter grabbed my attention from the get go. I’m familiar with Annabeth’s work but wasn’t familiar with Wendy, so I was a little hesitant to read it, once I finished I realized I had no reason to worry, the book read beautifully and I think both voices brought something to the characters.

I loved this book!!! It was tender and sweet which made reading the book a delight. Two men trapped at a destination wedding forces the silent, intense military man and the nerd. The "close quarters" ensures awkward and stolen moments for the two of them. It also forces them the understand, define, and in the end where their relationship is heading. Two men so different but so right for each other find themselves faced with a deep and abiding love for one another. Logistics have to be figured out but their happiness makes anything, everything worth fighting for. This book will tickle you, make you laugh, and you'll feel a warm fuzzy feeling when you read this book. The book is an easy read that will warm your heart and make your day a little better after reading this book. Get your copy and find out for yourself what a fun and well written book this is.

I have the pleasure of being in Annabeth Albert's Facebook group (Annabeth's Angels) and throughout the last year we were asked to answer different questions/polls that would help determine the way this story would build and I have to say that it has been fun to watch it come together, I absolutely adored Randall, he's like the stereotypical science nerd you went to high school with that will go on to become a rocket scientist or a biochemist that comes up with a cure for some disease, but is destined to remain a virgin for most of his life. I am happy to say that although he is indeed a astrophysicist he is determined to loose his V-card and the weekend of his sisters wedding might just be the time to do it. Hunter and Randall meet at a gay club and for Hunter, Randall looks like he just walked out of a secret fantasy that he's has had since he was a teenager, there is just something about the geeky scientist really gets to Hunter. I loved Hunter and Randall together, you know the saying don't judge a book by its cover, well that's what you have here. If you look each of them separately you probably wouldn't picture them together but once you get to know each of them you see how well they complement one another and how perfect they really are together. Opposites do attract! I really enjoyed this book and I cannot thank the authors enough for doing this for their fans, how many authors set forth to write a book knowing that they will be releasing it for FREE! not many and if they do it's usually a short story but here we have a great story with two likable characters and it's over 100 pages of greatness. I urge you to grab a copy,

I loved everything about this story. When the authors first announced (via AA's Facebook group) that they were going to write a free short story together, and let fans help direct the story, I thought it sounded like a lot of fun. They ended up with a much longer story than they intended and I loved the result. I like stories with geeky guys and ones with military types so this seemingly oddball couple was a lot of fun for me to read. While Hunter acts kind of like a jerk for some of the book I feel he totally redeemed himself and I think Randall was just plain sweet. I still can't believe this story is free and I believe the authors intend for it to remain that way. I've paid way more for stories that aren't nearly as engaging and well written. Thank you Annabeth and Wendy!

Once again Annabeth Albert has written a superb story. Wendy Qualls is new and this is the fist thing I know of that she has written. They worked very well together to write this wonderful story. Randall and Hunter complement each other so well, even though they seem an unlikely pair. They definitely bring out the best in each other. Hunter is a Type-A personality, an alpha. Being around Randall caused him to re-evaluate his life, get in touch with his feelings. Not because Randall wanted him to but because he realized he wasn't who he wanted to be. Randall gained confidence being around Hunter. I love the fact that Randall was a rocket scientist and shy but wasn't portrayed as a geeky nerd, a social misfit. The characters are well-developed and the story is well-written. It grabbed my attention from the very beginning and never let go. I read the story in one sitting because I didn't want to wait to see what would happen next. I can see more stories being written about some of the secondary characters. I would love for Gary to have his own story. He deserves an HEA more than most. I whole-heartedly recommend reading Save The Date. I love all of Annabeth Albert's books! Buy them all. You can't go wrong with one of her books. I'm looking forward to reading Wendy Qualls' debut novel when it releases.

Happily Ever Chapter's SECOND 5-Star rating of 2017!! ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FIVE-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover > Looking Deeper Third Person Shy virginal rocket scientist, Randall, meets hunky, assertive Army Sergeant, Hunter, at Randall's sister's bachelorette party during their stop at a predominantly gay club and is the man of honor. Hunter's in town to act as Best Man for his childhood best friend's upcoming nuptials. What they thought was a no-strings one-nighter ends up being more once they discover they are paired at the same wedding. Both have their flaws, but they compliment one another wonderfully and FIT better than many other couples I've read lately. Their chemistry is tangible, but imperfect, making them more real and humanized. The secondary characters are fun, but Randall's sister sort of seems like a clueless ditz - completely unaware of the things going on around her. Dialogue and interaction felt natural. The plot was dynamic and entertaining and the flow was incredibly smooth... it always amazes me how two people can team up to write something that reads as effortlessly smooth as this! Conflicts were addressed and resolved without predictability. The happy ending is provided in a flash-forward style conclusion. I would not hesitate to recommend this to M/M fans. Brains and Brawn win! .
