Saving Grace (Love Under the Big Sky Series) by Kristen Proby

Sparks fly like snowflakes when a klutzy but gorgeous novice crosses skis with a hot resort owner in this tempting tie-in to New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby’s popular Love Under the Big Sky series!

Grace Douglas is on a practice run for her friend Cara Donovan’s bachelorette party ski weekend in Aspen. The problem is, despite living in rugged and picturesque Cunningham Falls, Montana, Grace is the clumsiest person ever born. To prepare for the trip, she is taking lessons at a local ski resort. She just prays that they have an ambulance on standby.

Sexy hotelier Jacob Berkley is ready to play ski instructor, but he quickly discovers that the best place on the mountain for Grace is in the lodge with a hot toddy. Her sense of humor and easy laugh quickly pull him in, and soon he’s determined to help her get off the bunny slope for a fun vacation with her friends. He just didn’t expect their steamy chemistry to trigger an avalanche of desire straight to his heart.

## First let me say that I'm a huge Kristen Proby fan. Her "With Me" series is one of my all time favorites (damn those Montgomerys are hot). In addition to that I have loved this series as well, especially Jill's story. THAT being said, this book was a disappointment. 68 pages is all we get. Obviously things are extremely rushed between the hero and heroine so it was difficult to fathom they'd fall in love in 36 hours. Also, the heroine's "quirkiness" was so over the top. Instead of funny she came off as low class. Sorry, but I just can't recommend this book. Pick up her others and skip this one.

73 pages! That is not a book but a short story which had the relationship of the characters moving much too fast. The story became unbelievable. The main character Grace was not even funny. Save your money.

Grace makes a very good teacher as she is always putting others before herself but she is also a klutz. Her friend is getting married and for a bachelorette weekend they are going skiing at Aspen. Grace’s friends band together sign her up to take skiing lessons at a local ski resort before said weekend. Jacob/bas is mistaken by Grace as her ski instructor. Grace and Bas are quickly attracted to each other she doesn’t know he actually owns the resort. I love this story and plot. for a novella it manages to pull everything together as a whole story and it doesn’t appear rushed. I loved the characters especially Grace and the ins and out she went through. and Jacob/Bas is also an excellent character. I highly recommend I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

A sweet and sultry read. Kristen Proby continues to never disappoint. Saving Grace is definitely included in that umbrella sans for one tiny detail - this author writes some of the BEST romance books out there, so I have a massive problem with novellas only because I want MORE! But truthfully, she made is a satisfying quickie read that I thoroughly enjoyed.. IF you're just getting introduced to her books, or you've been a career-long fan pick this sucker up. I promise you will not be disappointed. It's a sinfully, sweet story and makes me want to find my own ski lodge and hot as hell ski instructor of my own! *ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

★★★½ Saving Grace is an adult contemporary romance short-story written by Kristen Proby. I listened to the audio version as part of the romance anthology titled Baby, It's Cold Outside. It is also #2.5 in Ms. Proby's Love Under the Big Sky series. This was my first exposure to the series. For a short-story, Saving Grace had an impressive setup to include alternating perspectives and even an epilogue. The insta-lust/love had me on the verge of an eyeroll but I couldn't help but think the female lead was completely adorable. I love enthusiastically klutzy heroines ♥. She made the read worth it...the hero grew on me too especially given the mistaken identity. That was a fun addition.

Originally read from Baby, It's Cold Outside anthology Reviewed by Angela and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Okay, I lied, I do have a fave but not by a landslide, but Saving Grace do top the rest of the stories. I fell in love with Grace, who is a super shy and super klutzy of her friends. To prepare her for an upcoming bachelorette party, her friends send her to skiing lessons where she meets the instructor, Jacob, who ends up not only her instructor but the rich ski resort owner. It was love at first sight, and I totally fell for this couple. Grace was adorable at her "plain Jane" persona but sweet and beautiful. The fact that she doesn't know it makes it even more real. Jacob fell for her quick. There was lots of flirting, lots of falling...in love is what I mean. And overall, a very sweet union. Jacob was uber hot!

Grace Douglas naturally assumed her friends were planning a weekend at a trendy island resort for a girls only getaway, for her friends Bachelorette party, and boy was she wrong. Instead of fun in the sun on a sandy beach, they would be staying at a trendy mountain resort surrounded by snow, and ski slopes. It was the last thing she would voluntarily sign herself up for, which is why her friends have chosen to band together and guilt her into going. Knowing that she doesn't know how to ski, they figure the best way to make her comfortable with this whole situation is to sign her up for ski lessons. They have her best interests at heart, and all think she is in desperate need of some fun, and hope that some fun on the slopes may lead to a opportunity for her to find a little romance too... Jacob Berkley has recently purchased a trendy mountain resort and is quite pleased with its success so far, and is willing to make sure his guests are treated to the best service possible. While doing his morning rounds he is mistaken for a ski instructor by one of his guests, and while he shouldn't mislead her, he just isn't quite ready to correct her. Something about her intrigues him, so he decides spending one day on the slopes with her can't hurt... This short, but oh so sweet and charming story captivated my attention right from the start and held on tight until the very end. It was a very enjoyable read that had me smiling and blushing the whole way through! Ms. Proby has another hit on her hands with this one! aving Grace is the perfect example as to why I love Kristen Proby’s stories. This book gave me fun characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with and was light on the drama. Saving Grace is sweet, sexy and a whole lot of fun. Yes, this book is a novella, but I’m telling you, this book gives you everything you are looking for. As a fan of the Love Under The Big Sky series, I couldn’t have been more happier to spend a little more time with the series and characters that I loved. Saving Grace is Jacob and Grace’s story. And let me tell you, their story is the perfect winter romance. Their story was well-written and fast paced. And even though it was fast paced, it worked perfectly. I thought the story-line was a lot of fun and was entertaining. I couldn’t wait to see how things would play out. Saving Grace is a wonderful addition to the Love Under The Big Sky series. Fans of this series, I definitely recommend checking this one out. You will not be disappointed! *I was provided an ARC copy of this book, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review*

A short story involving two people who fall in love, not letting their life styles interfere.
