Still, Aden is not sure how he’ll manage to find a Sassenach bride in time to save his family’s inheritance. When his almost sister-in-law Miranda comes to him for assistance, he proposes a partnership: She will help him navigate London society and he’ll teach her everything about wagering…and winning back her freedom. The beautiful, clever lass intrigues Aden—but is she playing her own game, or are the sparks between them real? He is accustomed to risking his pocket. But betting on Miranda’s love is a game he can’t afford to lose. . .

I loved this book. Suzanne Enoch writes some of the best highlander books! This is a perfect opposite attracts story. There’s laughter, tears and suspense and great family interaction. Miranda likes to think of herself as upstanding member of the ton and goes by the rules. Aden is only in London to find a wife, which he does not want. When he meets Miranda they butt headache in a big way. She doesn’t mince words and tells him exactly what she thinks of him. She’s the most refreshing lass he’s met and is very intrigued with her. She on the other hand wants nothing to do with Aden, until she needs his help. The sparks fly and they both start to see what they want. I highly recommend this series and please read in order.

The MacTaggert bothers are rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, and absolutely lovable. In short, they are Wild Wicked Highlanders. In this story Aden MacTaggert and Miranda Harris join forces to thwart a sleezy villain’s scheme to force a marriage to Miranda. As their plan progresses, so does the attraction between them. Scot Under the Covers has a handsome Highlander hero, a headstrong feisty heroine, and a villain who gets his comeuppance. It is a charming romance with a bit of drama, some suspense, and a good dose of humor. The brothers are hilarious and totally devoted to each other. The other characters are clever and entertaining. I love the butler’s patience with the brothers, Ross the deer, and the rescued dog. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to the next one in the series. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

A treat of a read about Aden MacTaggert, second of three Scottish brothers who have been forced to England by their mother to wed. Not only does Aden not want to marry at all, but Miranda Harris has made it clear she could not even like someone like him. Why then is he helping her? We have met the MacTaggart family in the first book of the Wild Wicked Highlanders series, and I was pleased to see them reappear in this story. Waiting impatiently for the next in the series. Highly recommend.

Miranda doesn't like gamblers, for a good reason, but she finds herself not only attracted to one, but desperately in need of his help. He's the only one who can give her the information she needs to prevent a marriage to a man who can't be trusted; ironically she must trust Aden and his knowledge of gambling, and pretend he is a suitor, too. Aden has been summoned to London to find a wife by his estranged mother. His sister tries to help by introducing him to her friends, but his wild Highlander ways scares some or is a novelty to others. He's in need of help with society and Miranda can teach him what he needs to know in exchange for his knowledge of gambling. Pretending to be a potential suitor is the perfect guise, till it starts feeling real. He will have to win over Miranda's distaste of gamblers while winning her hand against a villain. Danger lurks, but Aden has a plan. But will it be enough to win her heart for a lifetime? Loved this story or romance with a bit of danger. **Received an ARC from Netgalley**

I received an advanced readers copy of Scot Under the Covers by Suzanne Enoch. I really liked how Aden and Miranda interacted with each other. When Miranda finds herself being blackmailed into marrying someone due to her brother’s gambling debts, she seeks Aden’s help. He agrees to work with her to help free her of the blackmailer. I thought the two were well suited to each other and had good chemistry. Aden and his brothers share a strong bond and are supportive of one another. They show this loyalty to those they consider part of their clan as well. Overall, I enjoyed this story and read late into the night to learn how the villain would get defeated.

I love books with Highlander mainly with men who seems a barbarian type and end up being a sweet and true charming prince. Aden has always been the most controlled and restrained of the MacTaggert brothers. He is a great gambler and like a good bet. He did not think of getting married until his mother's blackmail reached him and his brothers. When he met Miranda at one of his sister's balls, Aden finally comes across a woman who messes with him. Miranda doesn't like gamblers but will need Aden's help to get rid of her brother's debt and to understand a gambler's mind. He agrees to help the lady in distress but in return she needs to help him behave like a perfect lord. Miranda and Aden come together as partners and will need to trust each other.Gradually, they become affectionate, the attraction grows and love flourishes. I found their love story very beautiful, I just hoped for a better resolution for the villain and her brother who in my opinion is the biggest villain in the plot. 3,5/5 stars

A braw Scot wearing a kilt, barefoot, with a soft spot for a hungry dog and a horse named Loki? Just call me happy! I immediately fell in love with Aden! He was fun and had a great sense of humor but also a soft side, especially for his family. He and his two brothers had come to London at the bequest of their mother, who had left them years ago in Scotland, but took their sister her. She held the purse strings and had finagled that the boys were to marry English ladies in order to keep the funds going to support their estate. So she was trying to set Aden up by parading ladies around and he met Miranda, the sister of Matthew who wanted to wed his sister. Matthew who was asking Miranda to marry a man because he owed him a hugh amount of money from gambling! So she goes to Aden to ask his advice and their journey begins. This author writes so smoothly and she pulled me in very quickly. A handsome highlander, a feisty lady and everything needed to keep me turning the pages! Humorous banter, strong attraction, a villain set on having our heroine and a cast of characters that are wonderful.. Loved this story as well or even better than the first in this series! Cannot wait for Coll's story! Oh and last but not least the cover is scrumptious! I read this through NetGallery Lori D

Why did it take a little longer than normal to read this book? Well I loooove Suzanne Enoch and have been a fan of hers for a while, so when I get one of her books, I start remember other books of her and then start reading them all over again..My favorite is ..London's perfect scoundrel)Now to this one, this is the second book in series, It's getting Scott in here, the first one, and I always recommend to read the first one so you can get a better understanding of who is who. I love Scottish men and I came to fall in love with these guys the MacTaggerts, and when you start reading you will understand why.So we meet Miranda who is going to be their sister in law, but her brother the numbskill loses lots in gambling and for the debt the scheming scoundrel wants to marry Miranda, what to what to do, well she goes someone she does not really care for Aden and he is going to help her learn the tricks of the trade and she is going to help him navigate thru the ton..While spend time with each other, Miranda realizes that she was all wrong about and the spark between them is catching fire.. Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

Miranda is shocked to learn that her brother has lost her in a gambling debt. She is supposed to marry a man that she has just met. Unfortunately for her, nothing about the man appeals to her. In her desperation to get out of the marriage, she enlists the help of Aden who is a known gambler. Who better to beat a gambler than one of his own kind. Miranda has long made it known that she despises gambling, so why does she find the man that is helping her so appealing? Aden is shocked that Miranda has come to him for help as she made her feeling for him very clear the first time they meet. But after spending time with her, he soon realizes that she is the one for him. Can he convince her to take a chance on him? I absolutely adored Miranda and Aden's story!! Enoch is masterful with her dialogue and all the bantering between these two had me laughing out loud! So often it is the female that falls for the male first and I loved the role reversal in this one. It didn't take long for Aden to know that Miranda was the woman for him!! I'm excited for the next book in the series, which I assume will be Coll's story.

This historical romance was a satisfying read. I loved the heroine's need to play by her own rules, and how the hero stepped up to assist her out of a bad deal. The suspense reaches a pinnacle and the story ends with good winning over evil. A Happy Ending! I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is a well written love story that did not start out that way. Miranda had no desire to get to know Aeden, who will become part of her family once their siblings marry but her brother has gotten himself deep in debt and the only way he can dismiss the debt is if she marries the man holding his notes. Because this is a gambling debt and she knows Aeden likes to wager, she goes to him for advise. The more she is around Aeden, the more she sees a different side to him. Eventually things work out for everyone and there is going to be a HEA but a lot happens first. The story is well written and entertaining in that Miranda is very out spoken and so is Aeden which makes for some wonderful banter. It is an excellent story and I would highly recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the latest adventure of the MacTaggert brothers in London! This story centers on Aden, the middle brother, known for his emotional and physical elusiveness. I could not put this book down once the villain of the piece made his appearance. I don't recall ever reading about a colder, more calculating and evil person than Robert Vale. He has planned for the long game and I did not know how he would be defeated.

Scot Under The Covers, by Suzanne Enoch, is available at booksellers on 1-28-20. Covers is book 2 in Ms Enoch's Wild Wicked Highlanders series. If you love and sassy highlander in a kilt then this is the book for you. We even get a sassy talking heroine. What fun. Aden MacTaggert, and his brothers, have been summoned to London with the edict to find an English wife. His mother is not to be messed with, she formidable. Aden has hardened his heart & been careful to stay away from relationships with women, they just break your heart. He's resigned but not happy. Aden is a tough nut to crack until he meets a sharp tongued, straight speaking, Miranda Harris. She's no fool and detest empty-headed ton gentlemen & gamblers. Especially gamblers. She's heard Aden is a serious gambler & spits fire at him from their 1st meeting. She takes almost the entire book to come around. The nice thing about Aden is when he finds "the one" he knows it & go after her. No dallying about. I'm waiting for the oldest brother to get his comeuppance. In Covers he ran out of the house naked. Can't wait for more of that. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. #SuzanneEnoch #ScotUnderTheCovers #The Wild Wicked Highlanders #Netgalley #StMartin'sPaperbacks #historicalromance

Scot Under the Covers is the first book I have read by author Suzanne Enoch. I can promise it won’t be my last. I was so fortunate to have won an ARC of this book in a giveaway. This one is a winner. It was a pure delight to read. It had wonderful lead characters and enchanting secondary characters, a sound plot, plenty of lively dialogue and humor, as well as a repulsive villain. I fell in love with Aden, a Scotsman that tugged at my heart. Mia was the perfect foil for him. I will also not forget Rory, the dressed deer nor Brogan, the rescued dog that walked from Scotland. I won’t list any more highlights as I encourage others to read this book. You’ll enjoy it. It is worthy of 5 stars. And BTW, Suzanne Enoch now goes on my favorite authors’ list.

Scot Under the Covers is book two in The Wild Wicked Highlanders series by Suzanne Enoch. I am loving this set of stories. Enoch is a master of layering her characters and bringing them to life. Although this book could be read as a stand-alone tale, it is much richer to read them in order. Enoch sprinkles some hilarious moments along with some extremely steamy sex scenes. Ordered to London to find themselves, wives, all three MacTaggert brothers are resistant at first. The middle brother is a gambler - Aden. And this is his story. I enjoyed the slow development of Aden and Miranda’s relationship. Miranda’s response to the trial she faces is believable and heartbreaking. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

This is the funny and enthralling story of Miranda Harris and Aden MacTaggert. Aden is the quiet, elusive brother of the MacTaggert brood, who have been tasked by their mother to marry English women before their younger sister marries (she is betrothed to Miranda’s brother, Matthew). The three brothers are so much fun! Who doesn’t love brawny Highlanders, with their brogue and playfulness? But they can be serious when it is needed. It may nearly kill them, but they can manage. Matthew has wagered and lost plenty - enough to sell Miranda to Captain Vale, the scumbag he was wagering against. Desperate to find a way out of the betrothal, she turns to Aden for help even though she despises gamblers. And Aden is a very good gambler! This is my first Suzanne Enoch book, but it will NOT be my last. I will be seeking out the first book in the series (Niall and Amy’s story) and I can’t wait for the others! The MacTaggert family is wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Aden and Miranda’s story. Ms. Enoch is a fantastic storyteller who weaves humor, snarky dialogue, and sizzling heat into this enemy to lovers story. The story offers suspense, mystery, betrayal, loyalty, and very nice character development. I found myself laughing out loud while reading and while I couldn’t wait to finish the story, I also didn’t want it to end. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for who granted an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. Miranda Harris is being blackmailed into marrying a villain She turns to her soon to be brother-in-law, Aden MacTaggert, for help. I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.  Scot Under the Covers is the second book in Suzanne Enoch's engaging The Wild Wicked Highlanders Series.  I do think you should read the first book, It's Getting Scot in Here first as it gives you some insight into the hero Aden MacTaggert's character and I enjoyed it immensely.  Miranda Harris's brother, who is engaged to marry Aden MacTaggert's sister, has foolishly allowed himself to be lured into gambling and accruing a debt that he would not be able to repay in his lifetime. When the villain who owns his debt suggests that he will forgive the debt for Miranda's hand in marriage, Matthew Harris is more than willing to hand her over.  Feeling trapped, she asks Aden for his help because she needs some insight as to how a gambler would think even though she despises gamblers and wants nothing to do with Aden otherwise. Aden realizing that she's handed him an out from the agreement to marry an English bride his mother is holding over him nevertheless is intrigued by Miranda and seeks to help her find an escape from the cage her brother's actions have created. With a seriously hot hero and a strong and independent heroine, this book is one that will keep your reading way past your bedtime.  Medium Steam.  Publishing Date January 28, 2020. #NetGalley #ScotUnderTheCovers #SuzanneEnoch #ScottishRomanceNovel #HistoricalRomanceNovel #bookstagram #StMartinsPress

Scot Under The Covers is a spectacular historical romance by Suzanne Enoch. Ms. Enoch has provided readers with a well-written book and furnished it with a magnificent cast of characters. The MacTaggert brothers have been called to London by their mother. She tasked them with finding English wives and the youngest was the first to fall in line. Aden would rather gamble than look for an English wife. Miranda's brother is the fiance of the MacTaggert brother's only sister. When her brother throws her to a gambler to cover his gambling debts Miranda seeks Aden's help. Miranda and Aden's story is filled with drama, humor, smokin' hot sexy bits, action and suspense. I totally loved the humor in this book. Scot Under The Covers is book 2 of the Wild Wicked Highlanders Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I just adore this series by Suzanne. Three Scottish highlanders who are fish-out-of-water in London at their mother's purse strings blackmailing demand to marry English ladies. This is Aden's story, the gambler who keeps his thoughts to himself. Underneath he's a rescuer and has a soft heart for those who need help. The heroine, Miranda Harris tells Aden the first time she meets him she doesn't like or respect him because he gambles. Little does she realize that's she's going to need his help very soon. Miranda is the sister of Matthew who is engaged to Aden's little sister Eloise. Miranda's father and uncle have both been taken advantage of gamblers in the past and she hates gamblers and gambling because of that. Aden spends his spare time in this pursuit so she tells him off the first time they meet. Unfortunately her brother Matthew is being blackmailed by gambler Captain Robert Vale into forcing Miranda to marry him to forgive the huge debt. If not Vale will tell their parents and destroy their lives taking everything. Vale is seeking entry and status into London's ton and she his ticket. Miranda is desperate to get out of this and turns to Aden for help trying to get away from Vale. She understands only a gambler can get the best of another gambler. Aden is intrigued by Miranda and is determined to best Vale and cast him out of London so he can't hurt his younger sister or others. Vale shows a history of holding others gambling debts over their heads to advance himself. As they work together Miranda learns Aden isn't who she thought and Aden sees that Miranda is the one woman who will be his equal partner in life. I loved watching how Aden played his game to expose Vale and get the best of him. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5-5 Stars! This book was awesome!! I loved it! It’s got everything you could want in a historical romance with hot Scots!! There’s a villain(Captain Robert Vale), a damsel in distress(Miranda Harris), and a hero who doesn’t realize he’s a good guy(Aden MacTaggert)! I do wish Miranda’s brother had been more of a help since she was helping him out! I felt like he got off pretty easily after all that mess! I HIGHLY recommend this book! This is the 2nd book in the series and can be read as a standalone but I’d recommend you read the first book also! Great series so far!! I can’t wait for Col’s book next and I can’t wait to know who the heroine is going to be!!!! Suzanne Enoch is my favorite historical romance author!! She NEVER disappoints!! *I received this book at no charge from the publisher and I voluntarily left a review.*

This is the Second Book in the Wild Highlander series by Ms. Enoch. This one is about Aden, a Highlander Lord who has come to London with his brother at the orders of his Mother, an English Lady who left them. I have not read the first one, but it did hurt my enjoyment of this story He meets up with Miranda Harris who trying to help her brother out of gambling debts. This is a typical romance, but I really enjoyed it. The two main characters were fleshed out well in the book and there were several supporting characters that made the book. I am looking forward to Coll’s story, who is Aden’s brother. Thank you for an advanced copy for an honest review.
