I hate the synopsis. Then I liked the book even less. Waste of time.

The story was cute, very predictable but it's still nice to see/read two people falling for one another. It's another story that tells us how people are nothing but human and make mistakes, but those mistakes can be rewarding in the end.

Screwed is book one in the Screwed series. This book revolves around a cocky casanova that always gets what he wants and an independent female that wants no part of his flavor of the week club. We shift POV between the two and get to see both sides of what is going on as the novel progresses. Cocky casanova aka Hayden Oliver runs the apartment building that just got a new pretty female tenant. Since his co-partner had just told him to stop sleeping with the single female tenants due to complaints, he, of course, sets his eyes on Emery and instantly wants her. Instead of trying to do what he normally does, though, he does the unthinkable, he befriends her. Emery just got hired as an intern for a law office and is all business. She got a heads up from another female tenant to watch out for Hayden and doesn't want any part of him. But when he comes over and invites her out as a friend she's intrigued. She's in a new city, doesn't know anyone so decides to go out with him and see what all the fuss is about. They have a great time, and quickly become good friends. Hayden and Emery wind up texting a lot, and going out a lot together and just growing closer. Neither realizes as their friendship grows that they're wanting more. As yall know, I love to see who cracks first and realizes it. There are bumps in the road, which kept things interesting and makes the characters work for it. And I just overall really enjoyed Screwed. If you like Contemporary Romance, I think you'd get a kick out of this one.

We've all known them - the guy who you know is bad news, but still so damned irresistible...and sometimes when you think you're screwed it's just life's way of pointing you in a new direction.

I loved Kendall Ryan's Filthy Beautiful Lies series, but this just didn't do it for me. Hayden has been warned by his partner and friend that he needs to stop sleeping with their tenants. To prove everybody wrong, when he meets Emery, he vows to prove he can be "just friend" with her. I did like their relationship and ease with one another but I thought the ending was rushed and the epilogue was a let down. I really expected more especially since this is a standalone.

I absolutely love everything that Kendall Ryan writes. Screwed is a funny, sexy light hearted read. It had me hooked from the very first page. I loved the connection betweeen Hayden and Emery. The storyline was very well written and the characters were well developed. I really love that these two went from friends to lovers and had to work at a relationship. It was a nice change from the insta love stories I have been reading lately. This is a definite must read book!!

I love the people but I wanted more story. What I mean is it was just over a hundred pages and I breezed right thru it. The story wasnt missing anything don't get me wrong. I guess I just didn't want it to end :)

Oh Hayden, what will we do with you? Hayden and Hudson are best friends and very successful real estate investors. However, Hayden has a problem sleeping with the tenants which tends to not end well. When new tenant, Emery, catches his eye, Hudson lays down the law, no more sleeping with tenants. Can Hayden have a girl for a friend? Emery has just moved across country to start her dream of being an attorney following law school. She is an incredible challenge to Hayden since she has sworn off men after several completely awful relationships. What happens when two people that aren't supposed to be attracted to each other, find out that their friendship is so much more? This is a fabulously sweet, sexy romance of two people figuring out how to trust again while following their hearts.

Received an ARC from the author for an honest review. This is a fun, sexy, romantic comedy. Emery is a strong female. She's had enough of douchebags. Hayden is a manwhore who owns condo buildings with his friend. He likes to dip into the building instead of going out to bars and picking up women. But Hayden has been burned and has his reasons for not wanting any sort of relationship. His friend Hudson has had enough of the complains from the women that live in the condo. Hayden has used them and left them. Hudson has made it clear he can't sample anyone else in the condo. Hayden sees Emory and immediately wants her. They become friend who have chemistry. I love the chemistry between Hayden and Emory. I like the easy flowing friendship between them. They want each other but they can also talk to each other and listen to one another. This is an easy, fun read. I recommend it.

What was Hayden thinking when he decided to befriend his new tenant? He wanted to prove a point to his business partner/bestfriend and sisters that he could be friends with a women and not sleep with her. Awwww hell who is he trying to kid! He wants her in the worst way!! He is soooo SCREWED!!! I received a ARC from the author for an honest review. I love Kendall's books she always delivers a great storyline. I loved the characters in this story, the banter between Hayden and Emery, and that she writes in the POV of the characters. The only issue I had was it felt a little rushed at times, like parts of the story were skipped over.
