SEAL's Honor by Elle James

SEAL Reed Tucker doesn't believe in commitment, until he tangles the sheets with one hot pilot, Delaney O'Connell. His phobia against commitment is challenged when his best friend asks Delaney to marry him first.

As a helicopter pilot for the 160th Night Stalkers, Delaney knows the risks of loving a SEAL. When her lover's friend loses an arm in battle, she can't refuse his marriage proposal when he's already lost so much. In love with one man, pledged to marry another, she's torn.

Tuck and Delaney must come to grips with the happiness they owe themselves and the happiness of their friend who has lost so much.

Reed Tucker and his SEAL team are stationed in Afghanistan and work with helicopter pilot Delaney O'Connell. Tucker and Delaney work well together and get to know each other quite well. Tuck doesn't have relationships because of his career and parents (who have been married several times). After Delaney lost her fiance she sworn to never again get involved with anyone in the military. Since neither wanted a relationship, a one-night-stand worked for both of them. Until they started to have feelings for each other. Things got complicated when Tucker's best friend, Reaper, decided Delaney was perfect for him and asked her to marry him. She said no but he kept asking until she finally agreed. This was a good story with exciting missions the SEAL's went on. There was a lot of conflicting emotions between the three main characters that kept me wishing Tucker and Delaney would just speak up. Reaper didn't know that Tucker and Delaney had been together because didn't know how to tell him. This story starts with Tucker going into the church to attend Reaper and Delaney's wedding so I was frustrated while reading it feeling like I knew the ending at the beginning. So that I don't give anything away I'll just say there were lots of twists to this story.

Eh. didn't really light my fire. Definitely didn't make me want the next in the series. Also, it's super-short. It's okay for a freebie, but then the story is a little rushed, without time for it to develop. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

I am giving this book the average review because it is a book I never should have bought... I did not realize the very graphic war scenes that would be described in depth and so I skimmed a lot of the story because I can't handle that... Fortunately it was short and I really enjoyed Delaney, the female helicopter pilot... Just not my "thing"...

Great read lots of romance. The author did a good job using a "love" triangle. Interesting characters.

I don't understand all the freat reviews for this book. It is all the same over and over. Characters who don't express their feelings until the last 10 pages of the book. I skipped to the end after about page 50 because I just couldn't listen to it anymore

Excellent story! I cannot wait to read the next one in the series! Delaney is a pilot in Army and she knows Cody and Tuck from flying them on training exercises and at war. This story grabs you from the beginning and has a wonderful ending.

I like to read SEAL stories. They tear me apart but I still keep reading them. I only know Military from what I read so I have to hope that the authors are writing the true reality. All the ones I have read sure feel real to me. Elle has done a good job here. Tuck, a SEAL leader, has commitment problems due to his parents in his childhood. He is Delaney' s lover. Delaney wants to hear him say he loves her. Not happening yet! There are spoilers here on when Tuck's best friend Cory also wants to marry her. Sparks there but then they are called to go on a OPs mission. Tuck is mad. Delaney likes them both and Cory asks to marry her before he gets hurt. Please give this story a chance. It is a good story.  I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.

I love military romance and SEALs are HOT, always Alpha and seemingly fearless with their no nonsense attitudes and devote loyalty to both men and country. Tuck is no exception to the SEAL mandate, but his personal conflict regarding long-term relationships is probably something he should reevaluate if he intends to hold on to the woman he loves. Tragedy strikes and emotions run high, but all bets are off when the unimaginable happens and his woman accepts a proposal from another man. A great start to the series, which is sure to make readers want more of this special group of friends.

A great read with lots of romance and conflict - quick paced and NO cliffhanger! I really liked this book a lot. It was a solid 4-1/2 stars for me. There was only one thing that kept me from rating it a full 5 stars – there was a little too much “jargon” and unexplained acronyms. I know it’s a book about SEALs, and I’ve read a lot of them, but in this one I just felt there was so much jargon that it was a bit distracting. Most of the words and acronyms I could figure out but some I did not know. The story of the love triangle between our Hero Tuck (Reed Tucker), Reaper (Cory Nipton) and heroine Razor (Delaney O’Connell) was engaging and moved at a good pace and I didn’t want to put it down. If you like books with a strong Hero and strong heroine you will undoubtedly like this story. If you also like stories about SEAL’s you will absolutely love it. There were also some pretty hot scenes. :-) This book has no cliffhanger (yeah!) but it is part of a series and I’m looking forward to reading the next one. I won a copy of this book in a Facebook contest but that did not influence my review or opinion of the book.
