Story okay, ending felt rushed. Too many plot spoiler reviews. It was like having crib notes. Worth a $1.99. I did not like it well enough to archive for a future read. Pretty graphic sex. Adults. Chick lit.

Liked the book overall. I loved the characters, just thought it ended kinda fast.

I really dislike a book where it takes the main characters the whole book to be confident enough to try a relationship. It just didn't seem to move along. I usually like this author, but I really have come to not like stories that don't have enough meat to move along and deal with "real" problems vs characters dealing with their own insecurities for the whole book. I found it a little boring and will not read the rest of the books in the series.

The story was interesting but why too graphic. Most of us know how sex works but I felt that it was over the top.
However, if you like porn in your storyline, this is for you

It was difficult to finish with the constant back and forth breakups with the main characters. I just didn't care anymore. How many times can you end up at each others door steps to end in another break up? I skimmed the ending of the book to just be done.

Better watch what you ask for, you just might get it! In an attempt to prove that Kate’s matchmaking service is a fraud, Slade, the hyper-alpha divorce attorney challenges Kate to find him his perfect mate. Little does he know that Kate has a special sense that can accurately detect who is right for another person. She feels an electric jolt when the match is right, need I say more? One touch and the sparks are flying, too bad these two could not appear more opposite in nature, completely incompatible, totally wrong for each other, according to statistics. But what about their hearts?
Searching for Someday by Jennifer Probst is a delightful read! Filled with a touch of humor, a sensitive and caring heroine and a hard-headed hero, not to mention the captivating Robert, this is a perfect pick-me-up read to enjoy and feel good about! Nothing too deep, no great angst, just a cute tale of two opposites who will try anything to avoid their attraction!
I received an ARC edition from Gallery Books in exchange for my honest review.

Kate and her two college friends start their own matchmaking company called Kinnection in a small town not far from New York City. When divorce lawyer Slade finds out his fragile sister is using their service he storms in threatening to shut them down as scam artists. Kate issues a challenge instead. She and her company will find him the perfect woman (for him) and he’ll drop the posturing and let his sister live her life. They both get more than they bargained for.
This is a decent contemporary romance with a little bit of the paranormal thrown in. Kate has a gift for sensing romantic connections between people. She and her friends use solid business tactics for Kinnection, but Kate verifies their matches with her gift. They want to make people happy, not miserable so why not use all the tools in their toolbox? Slade is pretty unlikeable. Kate is a bit too wimpy for my tastes. The rest of the characters are ok and there’s some humor sprinkled in. The star of the show though is Robert, Kate’s dog. Come for the dog, stay for the humor.

Kate owns her own successful matchmaking business in Verily. She runs Kinnections with her two best friends and going to work is a joy for her. Kate has a special gift that makes it possible to predict if people are each other's soul mates. Her matches are legendary, but unfortunately she hasn't found her own true love yet. A new client, Jane, brings problems on her doorstep in the form of an overprotective older brother. Slade is a lawyer and the only thing Kate can do to prove his sister's money is well spent is finding his dream woman for him. Slade doesn't believe in love and Kate has a difficult job to convince him she's the real deal. She will find Slade's match, but what's the price she has to pay for it?
Searching for Someday is a lovely romantic story. I immediately liked Kate, she's a smart and gifted woman and she gives people something very special, she finds them the person they're supposed to spend the rest of their lives with. That's an admirable skill and I really enjoyed reading about it. Even though Kate is great at finding other people love she isn't faring so well when it comes to her own love life. When she meets Slade it's obvious they have a lot of chemistry, but they don't have much in common. Slade is cynical and by trying to save his sister from getting hurt he's preventing her from living her own life. I kept hoping Kate would be able to break down the walls around his heart and read this book in one sitting because I couldn't wait to find out what would happen if she'd succeed.
Jennifer Probst's writing style flows easily. She writes about one of my all time favorite subjects, true love. It's what made me curious about the Searching For series straight away. Searching for Someday is fun, sweet and endearing. I loved that Kate has been touched by magic and has a unique gift, that made the story extra enjoyable for me. I highly recommend this wonderful, charming and enchanting story.

This is a reread for me in preparation for reading the next book in this series. I'm glad I did as it refreshed my memory and reintroduced many of the characters important to the series. Slade, Kate and Robert's relationship was interesting and provided much entertainment. I'm looking forward to Gen and Wolfe's love adventures. LA-TXN

Kate Seymour is bright, beautiful and a true believer in the magic of love. She is also a professional matchmaker and owns Kinnections along with her two friends. She is also a woman who has given up on the possibility of finding love for herself. Even though she has an amazing track record in fining perfect love connections for their clients. Riding high on her success Kate is challenged by Slade Montgomery when he barges into Konnections demanding Kate immediately drop his sister Jane as a client. Threatening to sue her and run her business reputation thru the mud, slandering her business if she refuses. Slade knows love does not exist and has watched his sister slowing recover from being crushed emotionally and refuses to have her hurt or used again.
After threats and intimidation fail to work Slade offers a challenge. Kate can prove love exist by finding a love match for him and he will back off. Kate accepts, but there is one small problem. She is attracted to Slade herself. Kate knows she can save her business if she can ignore her reactions to the bad tempered Slade Montgomery.
Funny and fast moving I enjoyed Searching for Someday. Kate instinctively pushes Slade's buttons. Ms. Probst has written romantic plot touched with humor and tension. The characters' bold and forceful personalities will keep you glued to the story as it unfolds. Slade's sister may appear a bit fragile at first, but shows a steely backbone as she learns her own worth. If you are looking for a romance that will make you chuckle and you swoon then Searching for Someday is the one for you to savor and enjoy.

Refreshing, Romantic, Endearing & Charming
SEARCHING FOR SOMEDAY is a refreshing contemporary romance with a charming magic twist.
Kate and her two best friends have built a solid matchmaking business by utilizing each of their individual talents and skill sets. One of Kate’s most unique talents is her ability to sense love matches simply by touching the individuals. But when she realizes her own soul mate is a divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in true love or marriage, she’s convinced her touch has gotten it wrong. Kate and Slade do everything in their power to deny the connection they share, but the closer they get, the harder it is to ignore.
Ordinarily I would say I’m too practical to enjoy magic unless its of the paranormal variety, but Jennifer Probst seemed to know just how to introduce something outside the realm of ordinary without making it corny or unbelievable. It still rang true to the story and to the characters and only added to the undeniability of their connection. Slade was the perfect combination of stubborn, opinionated, take charge, and alpha male. I loved how he could be so fierce and stern yet he’d be so reckless in his feelings for Kate. Every time he showed up at her door unannounced, I swooned. I was a little worried Ms. Probst would go too far in her efforts to introduce secondary characters in an attempt to build interest for future books in the series, but somehow she managed to straddle the line just enough to make the story more three dimensional without going overboard. I was unable to put SEARCHING FOR SOMEDAY down until I’d had my happily ever after and it made me want to read more in the series just to get another taste.
SEARCHING FOR SOMEDAY was such an endearing romantic story with a chick-lit feel and I would highly recommend diving into the Searching For series!

Good story. Love the addition of Robert! It was killing me to read about Slade & his aversion to love. But then maybe it would be hard to accept if someone told me they could touch me & know if there was a connection. It's far fetched but I like the idea.

And paranormal as part of relationships the author has lost control and is a "hack" grabbing pieces of other authors and trying to glue them into a novel what do you get? This.

Like pickle ice cream or the weird food combos like kale pizza when they cant think of "new" plots any blurb that says sizzling just dumped water on the book steaming also means a dirty mess of wet ashes. What you read isnt like eating where what you cant use comes iut what you read stays abd stains

I know a 3 doesn't sound to hot, but when I think back over the book the only word that comes to mind is good. The characters were really well developed, the plot is interesting, and the romance/steam factor was solid. So it was a good book, I didn't rate it higher because I go with my gut feeling and I didn't feel a sense of awe or have a true experience WITH the characters, It felt more like I was watching a good movie.
Kate's secret was a surprise and I hope to hear more about Ken and A's stories so I would recommend the book and intend to continue the series.

Every now and then I need to read a fluffy book. I know I’ll get that from Jennifer Probst books. If I read too many of these books, I’ll get bored of them. But I found a balance and I’m happy to say that it has been working. Searching for Someday was predictable, it frustrated me sometimes but it was fast paced and entertaining to read. There’s not much I can say about Searching for Someday. I do have to point out what frustrated me about this one, it was Kate.
The book opens (I think it was the prologue) with Kate going on a date with this guy that from the get go you know he’s a douche. He’s gross, wants to split the check and to make it worse he is kind of flirting with the male waiter. So you would think that Kate would have some common sense and know that this guy is not for her. But, no, she starts making excuses for him. She’s tired of dating and not finding her soul mate, I get it, but c’mon, this guy was definitely not into her! To get to my point –this is not a spoiler- she ends the date and goes home alone. Then when our hero comes in the picture they touch there're sparks, they kiss and is magical, he’s her soul mate but Kate refuses to believe it and keeps pushing him away. Am I making any sense here? The whole situation irritated me. How come she was ready to settle for a guy that she KNEW wasn’t for her but then gave a hard time to the one that was definitely for her? –End of rant-
I know it sounds a bit silly, but I just couldn’t look passed that. I guess the angst was necessary for this one to be entertaining. I admit I enjoy their banters and the sexual tension between Kate and Slade. I won’t say Searching for Someday was different from other romance books because it wasn’t, but it was entertaining. I very much like Jennifer Probts books and I know after a finish one her books I will be happy and satisfied.
