Fraternal twins Seline and Owen Harrington were separated at ten years old after their parents divorced. Seline went to live with their mom in Virginia, and Owen went to live in London with their dad. In their senior year of high school, the twins secretly conspire to apply to Oxford University without letting the estranged parent know. They are both accepted.
At the end of their first semester at Oxford, Owen admits to his dad, Reece, that he and Seline are attending the same university. With Reece in Canada on business until Christmas, Owen insists on spending Christmas with Seline and their mom at the farm in Virginia. At first Reece agrees to this arrangement, but it doesn't take long before he has second thoughts. He invites himself to the farm to set matters straight.
