This book is about transformation and abundant life. It is a practical examination of the mystical teachings of Jesus from the perspective of a follower taking Jesus' teachings of the Gospels to heart. That we might all have abundant life. That our spiritual potential is unlimited. That Jesus taught the secrets of abundant life to his disciples and that these secrets are embedded in his teachings if we are willing to open our hearts and minds to them.
This book is written for people who are willing to accept that Jesus was an example and teacher to be followed rather than merely an idol to be worshiped. After all his stated purpose for coming to earth was that we might have life and have it more abundantly -- right now in this life. He told his disciples that to them he was giving "the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven". On multiple occasions he implored his followers to follow his teachings. The clear message being that within his teachings were the keys to abundant life.
The goals of this book are:
o Examine the systematic process taught by Jesus for finding the kingdom of God within you.
o Discover how to reclaim our true identity as daughters and sons of Almighty God.
o Discover the secrets of continuous spiritual growth through inner guidance and by "multiplying our talents".
o Reclaim the abundant life that is our Father's "good pleasure" to give to all of his children.

About the Author
I was born into a Christian home but became dissatisfied with religion and was an agnostic/atheist for twenty years. That also left me empty and restless and I began to ponder spirit apart from any religious connection. I found wisdom in Buddhism, Taoism and others and then felt led back to the teachings of Jesus. But this time from a new perspective, not as a sinner seeking to avoid hell fire, but as a child of God, unconditionally loved by God, a God who only wanted the best for me and for all of mankind.
In 2006, it occurred to me that the perfect harmony of the universe is a direct result of God's laws – the physical laws of nature like the law of gravity and the laws of motion. I observed that God doesn't seem to capriciously push buttons and pull levers to keep the universe in order according to his particular mood. Instead, God creates universal laws which are perfectly balanced, perfectly sustainable and which govern matter whether that matter is on earth or across the universe billions of light years away. This realization led me to another thought, "If God created laws to govern the physical universe, then might there also be laws which govern the path of spiritual growth?" The next thought was that if God did create such laws, wouldn't they be the core of the teachings of Jesus?
So I started studying the teachings of Jesus from this perspective, looking for the laws which if sought out and put into practice would lead to abundant life, just as Jesus promised. This led to what was (and is) for me a practical, logical process of slow but steady growth with a commensurate slow but steady increase in peace of mind, joy, unconditional love, kindness and patience – the "fruit of the spirit".
I am a work in progress. But after several years of simply taking the word of Christ seriously, I know without any doubt that there is a better more abundant life available to everyone a life characterized by freedom from worry, struggle and strife. I believe that God's grace is free but that I have a role in the process and that as Jesus clearly stated, I am responsible for seeking, asking and knocking and putting Jesus' teachings into practice. "They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them." John 14:21
