Overview

Dr. Bethany Morrison is used to being the responsible one. The serious doctor everyone relies on. She isn't used to needing a rescue--especially from a sexy, lighthearted firefighter like Nate Prudhoe. And yet ever since she moved to Lost Harbor, Alaska, he's been there for her. Is it any wonder she turns to him in her most embarrassing moment—when she needs a fake boyfriend?

Nate's more than aware that Bethany doesn't take him seriously. And that's fine; relationships, a family of his own...those things aren't for him. Not when he knows how painful the loss of a loved one can be. But when he discovers a mysterious injured runaway hiding out in the firehouse, it's his turn to ask the lovely doctor for help.

As winter closes in, the line between fake and forever keeps disappearing. How was Nate supposed to know that every moment spent with Bethany would chip away at the shield around his heart? How was Bethany to know that Nate's brand of laid-back fun was exactly what she needed? It may take more than a snowstorm to make them see it's okay to want it all...and to grab it before it disappears forever.

Dr. Bethany Morrison was always the smart, serious sister, and a people pleaser to a fault. New to Misty Bay Hospital, Bethany tries to catch the eye of a world renown neurologist. Bethany believes if she dates and eventually marries someone wealthy and successful, then her father would be proud of her—finally! But life doesn’t always work out as planned. Bethany requires the help of local firefighter Nate Prudhoe. A moose scared her and she is naked and locked out of her house. Nate’s interest is sparked, but he knows he’s not the man for Bethany. Nate Prudhoe, firefighter and town playboy, doesn’t believe in happily ever after. Through no fault of his own, he’s experienced love and loss. He’s placed walls around his heart so that he doesn’t have to ever experience that kind of pain again. Until Bethany...Nate finds a runaway who’s injured and he needs assistance in caring for her. The more time he spends with the good doctor, the more he starts to care. He doesn’t like that she’s pining away for the neurologist, but isn’t sure he’s what she needs. Loved, loved, loved this novel from the first page to the last. It was humorous, angsty, and suspenseful. I enjoyed Nate and Bethany working together to help the runaway, even putting their jobs on the line. When Nate took Bethany’s dad “golfing”, I about died. Hilarious! Bethany’s struggle to win her dad’s approval was so realistic. Everyone wants their parents to be happy and approve of their decisions. It’s equally sad to realize that sometimes, that’s never going to happen. Nate was supportive and loving to Bethany. I also enjoyed his interactions with her sister. I loved that Bethany was able to help Nate work through his grief. Awesome story! One of my favorites in the series. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Opposites attract. My new favorite small town is, Lost Harbor. Dr Bethany Morrison is new to town and the last person she wants to date is fireman, Nate. All of a sudden she needs a fake boyfriend, and he is it. As their friendship develops they can't deny the sexual chemistry that they share. Both with pasts that they must over come to go forward in their relationship though. Loved this book, perfect read with plenty of sexy romance. Lots of banter and fun. Loved the side story of SG too. I highly recommend this book.

ARC for honest review with no compensation Seduced by Snowfall is book 3 in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series by Jennifer Bernard and another great addition! Nate Prudhoe, hometown fighter and Dr. Beth Morrison new resident but the responsible one are on opposite ends of the spectrum until she needs a fake boyfriend then things change! If that’s not enough...there’s a mysterious injured runaway who needs help from them both. Snow storm’s coming, sparks are flying, runaway is running again but can Nate and Beth survive all of this, help the runaway and find what they are looking for…an HEA…

I experienced an absolute deluge of emotion while reading this book! There was pain, loss, joy, sorrow, and everything imaginable! Ms. Bernard always manages to give us a book that we cannot just enjoy but one that we actually Feel, too. Bethany and Nate have both found what they think is the perfect place to heal from the past and neither one is expecting to find love. Come along with the author as she takes us on their sweet, sexy, and sometimes steamy, journey of love to the HEA they didn't consider as something possible! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Jennifer Bernard has done it again. Seduced by Snowfall is the 3rd book in her Lost Harbor, Alaska series and my favorite so far in this series. I loved watching Nate and Bethany’s relationship develop. And who doesn’t love a firefighter? This entire series is great! They can each be read as a stand-alone but reading in order is much more fun. You won’t be disappointed!

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. I really enjoyed it! There was some great humor and the characters were very well developed. I know this is book 3 in the series but this is the first one I have read and can honestly say that you don't need to read the first two to read this one. This book follows Nate, an EMT/Fireman who has lived in Lost Harbor his whole life, and Bethany, a transplant doctor from the East coast. Nate is your typical fun loving guy always out to make everyone smile; behind that smile there are definitely some emotional barriers. Bethany is whip smart and a bit OCD/controlling; she is perpetually trying to earn her father's approval. There is an undeniable attraction from the get go between Bethany and Nate however Nate doesn't do emotional attachments and Bethany doesn't feel Nate fits what she is looking for in a partner. They throw caution to the wind and decide to have a "good time" but it starts to backfire on them when emotions get involved. Throw in Bethany's crazy and quirky younger sister and a stowaway at the firehouse and you have the recipe for a lot of crazy situations. Overall I would definitely recommend. It was funny and very well written. My only complaint was that the book did jump around a couple of times that I had trouble following. But I easily got back on track though. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!!

A steamy, funny and wonderful addition to the Lost Harbor series by Jennifer Bernard. I had hoped we could get to hear Nate's story and he met his match with Dr. Bethany. I could relate so much to both characters, Bethany who is always trying to please her family and Nate who holds on to some deep grief. The humor, the passion and the wonderful imagery of Alaska, make this the perfect story to curl up in your favorite reading spot and devour in an afternoon (like I did). Each story can be read as a standalone, but do yourself a favor and read them all. Read everything Bernard issues, you won't be sorry.

I’d say this is my favorite Lost Harbor book so far; the thought that someone like Bethany can be so unappreciated and devalued by her family is sobering. And then Nate and how he treats S.G. (read it to see) – heartwarming. It’s hard to do justice to this book in a short review; the characters grow and develop, and their backgrounds inform them more and more as the book progresses, the story has unexpected turns and detours, and the setting is beyond beautiful. Seeing other Lost Harbor friends is always a bonus too. I’m looking forward to more! I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

Nate and Bethany are the perfect cold weather read. We have seen the silly side of Nate over the last few books so it was fun to see him face his fears. Bethany is finally coming into her own and Nate helps her be her perfect self. Add in a troubled girl and this book is hard to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

With every one of Jennifer Bernard’s books in this series, I fall more in love with Lost Harbor, Alaska, and its people. SEDUCED BY SNOWFALL is book three in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Lost Harbor is charming and the characters are fun, unconventional, and oh so loveable. Bethany Morrison, Lost Harbor’s new doctor, is smart, accomplished, responsible, and has no self-confidence. When a patient sets her up with Nate Prudhoe, she goes, even though she knows he isn’t the right man for her. Nate is an EMT and a jokester, appearing to never take anything seriously. Nate knows his date with Bethany won’t lead to anything, but he can’t resist teasing her and really enjoys loosening her up. Surprised at how much she enjoys her time with Nate, when her family comes to town, including her Dad whom she can never please, she makes up a pretend boyfriend and ropes Nate into helping sell it. But as spend more time together, including helping a mysterious runaway, Bethany thinks maybe Nate can be a Mr. Right Now, which she’s never had, while she’s looking for the one that will win her Dad’s approval. Nate’s all for getting closer, but starts wondering why a casual relationship isn’t working for him, especially since he has no plans to settle down. His carefree, joking attitude hides the little boy whose heart never recovered from the tragedy his family endured. There isn’t a part of this novel I didn’t love. Bethany and Nate are two people with baggage that really complement each other and they are just fun to watch. Bethany’s relationship with her sister Gretel is the most honest one she has, the two love each other and each is the one person that accepts the other for who she is. They are each other’s biggest cheerleader and advocate pushing the limits of their comfort zones. Lost Harbor is such a joy to visit. Bernard has created a town and filled it with people that you can’t wait to hang out with. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series. I know I am not alone in hoping the series goes on for a long time. #SeducedbySnowfall #LostHarbor #JenniferBernard

Jennifer Bernard's "Seduced by Snowfall" was an enjoyable read, with likeable, well-developed main characters, an engaging plot, and a beautifully described Alaskan setting. I have to admit that I have never had any interest in living in or even visiting Alaska before, but Ms. Bernard's descriptions of the scenery and lifestyle really made Alaska come to life. It was enough to convince me that a visit to our 49th state should be on my bucket list. (That said, I think I will plan my visit for the summer; I don't think I would handle a blizzard quite as well as the characters in this book did!) The male lead character, firefighter and EMT Nate Prudhoe, was very easy to like. He came across as laid back, charming, and flirtatious, but he was hiding a tender heart beneath the surface. Nate cared deeply about helping others and seemed to make friends wherever he went, but swore off more serious relationships after a childhood tragedy forced him to confront the pain of losing a loved one. That vow was threatened when he met Dr. Bethany Morrison, who was dealing with childhood baggage of her own thanks to an overbearing father. Nate and Bethany's relationship moved quickly, but it never felt like insta-love to me. I really appreciated that they seemed to get to know each other and develop a friendship before their feelings for each other turned romantic, though the attraction between them was there all along. Bethany and Nate really seemed to bring out the best in each other, with Bethany helping Nate open up about his past and Nate helping Bethany lighten up and develop the confidence she needed to stand up to her father. In addition to Nate and Bethany's relationship, I really enjoyed the book's subplot involving the mysterious runaway Nate found living in the Lost Harbor fire station. I would like to know more about her; hopefully Nate's best friend, police detective Maya, will continue the investigation in the next book. Speaking of Maya, I enjoyed getting to know her in this story and hope to see her featured in a future story of her own. Nate's boss, Chief Boone, was also a very interesting character, and I couldn't help but wonder if he might be a good love interest for Maya. At any rate, I look forward to the next book in the Lost Harbor series and can't wait to see what happens next for these characters. *ARC provided by the author via InkSlingerPR. Seduced by Snowfall is the most entertaining book I’ve read in a long while. Seduced by Snowfall is the third in the Lost Harbor series by Jennifer Bernard. It is even better than the first one, Mine Until Moonrise. One thing about this series, Ms. Bernard not only fleshes out the characters, she adds in so many factoids about Alaska and I’m learning so much about Alaska. In addition to enjoying a HEA story I want to learn real life facts. Double my experience. Seduced by Snowfall is the courtship of Bethany and Nate, who we met in the previous books in the series, another things I like about these books. Bernard really brings everyone in the community together. Bethany is a new doctor from Vermont?? To Alaska. Nate Prudhoe is a hometown boy, although he has traveled extensively. The story starts slow and I even thought I’d missed a chapter it took me a while to get settled in to what was going on with their first date, or non-date as Bethany insisted it was. Bethany is extremely serious and organized. Nate is known as the fun, easygoing EMT for the town of Lost Harbor, everyone’s friend. Both have a lot of issues to work through, and true to Bethany’s sister’s prediction, Bethany seduces Nate by snowfall. This is truly an entertaining story. It’s so funny but has some serious moments, too. I just did not want it to end. I cannot wait until book 4 comes out. I have to find out what happens to Gretel, to Spruce Grouse, and even Darius. I don’t want to give too much away but everyone should read this book.

OK, I am not sure I would describe Firefighter Nate Prudhoe and Dr. Bethany Morrisey as having a “meet cute” – maybe more of a “meet moose?” Nothing much came from that incident right away, but when the very serious doctor is fixed up on a date with carefree, light-hearted Nate, some serious chemistry starts to flurry around these two. So when Bethany “creates” a boyfriend in a phone conversation with her father, it’s no coincidence said boyfriend resembles Nate! Again, Lost Harbor works its magic on not only its inhabitants, but us lucky readers as well! Ms. Bernard has created brilliant world that manages to be both realistic and enchanting at the same time. Both Bethany and Nate hide some very deep wounds beneath their facades; who would suspect that under her unflappable manner, Bethany is scarred from a lifetime of not being enough. And Nate, the seemingly fun playboy, is crippled by a grief that he has buried so deep in order to survive. Wow - be prepared for all the feels in this one! Of course, our favorite Lost Harbor denizens are popping up throughout the book, in addition to some new ones (Hello Gretel - Cannot wait to explore her story!) As always, this author manages to strike the perfect balance between sorrow and joy, sweet and sexy, witty and sober, to create a story that will seduce you long before the last page and make you long for more!

Dr Bethany and Nate the good hearted EMT come together on a mission to help . They both have things in their past making them afraid to live the life they want and need. Bethany feels she is un worthy,Nate is afraid to care to deep. Her father made her feel being a Dr isn’t good enough pretty enough or just plan enough. Nate suffered a huge loss as a child and now is afraid to love with his whole heart. Come find out the rest of the story in this great addition to the series !

This series just keeps getting better. Seduced by Snowfall is the steamy read about Dr. Bethany Morrison and firefighter Nate Prudhoe. Bethany goes on a date with Nate, after Nicola Bellini set them up. She really wants to date Dr. Ian Finnegan, the visiting neurosurgeon. This book grabbed my attention from the first page and I didn’t want it to end. I don’t want to leave any spoilers, but I will say, this isn’t just a romance book, it is so much more. It tells about loss, not measuring up, and the bonds between siblings. We also have some suspense, which will keep you flipping the pages. The funny scenes will have you laughing out loud. A good example is the first time Nate meets Bethany, lol. Grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with these characters, just like I have. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Seduced by Snowfall is the third book in Jennifer Bernard’s Lost Harbor series. Bethany is a doctor who discovers a job half way around the world from her parents. She meets Nate Prudhoe after being locked out of her house. They decide to go on a ‘date’ but agree that they’re better off friends. When Bethany’s sister arrives on the scene, she is closely followed by their controlling father and stepmother. What was once friendship turns into a fake boyfriend. Ms. Bernard has a way to weave her stories. I absolutely loved Bethany and Nate’s story. This is a standalone book but I suggest reading the other books in the series because they are fabulous reads. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I received an advance copy of Seduced by Snowfall which I chose to read and review.

Oh! Oh! Oh! How can I write how much this story just about knocked my socks off? For me, it hit all the “feels” that I so enjoy when reading a book. I will settle for saying that I just loved these two, and all the assorted characters – even the stoopid ones – really add so much to their story. At a high level, Bethany Morrison is a new doctor to Lost Harbor, Alaska and has already been, let’s call it indoctrinated into life in a small, tightknit town. The hero, Nate Prudhoe, has lived here most of his life, is an EMT, all around great guy, wonderful friend…and sort of the good-time guy everyone wants to spend time with because he makes them feel good. Bethany is a classic overachiever who is still trying to impress her father, and just about everyone else, and it often ends up putting her in embarrassing and funny situations. That’s an extremely simple explanation to the very beginnings of the relationship for these two. I loved that both these characters are a bit broken but neither of them can really see that in themselves. Of course, they know what the other person needs to do/believe/change in order to live an HEA, but nah, they don’t need any help themselves. Nate and Bethany are adorable together, even when they are pretend-dating. Some of their antics will crack you up. When they work as a team to help a young girl? It will squeeze your heart. Loved, loved, loved their story and as I got closer to the end of the book, I was screaming for them to make it work. I really did enjoy their story and it is one of my new favorites from this author.

4 1/2 snowy stars!! I really enjoyed this book so much! Nate and Bethany may not appear to be the best match for each other at first but it isn't long before it all comes in to view and you can totally see them making a life together in Lost Harbor. Fake relationships are always so fun because you just know they won't stay that way forever not when there is clearly chemistry between the couple. I pretty much wanted to smack Bethany upside the head at first because she couldn't see past Ian. I honestly love Nate and Bethany despite any imperfections/faults we see because that is what makes them so relatable and lovable. I love their interactions and how they work together for S.G.'s sake. Bethany's sister Gretel is a great character too. I love this series both for the wonderfully complex characters Jenny Bernard gives us but also for the stunning location that her detailed description allows you to feel like you are experiencing first hand. Another fantastic book in this series!

I adore the town of Lost Harbor! Nate is now one of my favorite people living there, I'm totally smitten! He's witty, adorable, and so proud of where he grew up, I want to keep him in my pocket and carry with him with me because he makes me smile. Seduced By Snowfall is fun, steamy and so full of charm, you'll love it!! I snickered through this entire book. Nate and Bethany are an adorable match. While Nate was born and raised in Lost Harbor, Bethany just moved to Alaska. They seem like polar opposites with her perfectionist personality and his laid back charm, but where he has edges she has curves and they fit together perfectly. Bethany moved as far away as possible from her perfectionist expectectation father, but she never stops trying to please him and makes up a fictional boyfriend. That plan backfires when her father lands in Alaska and thankfully Nate, the easy-going Nate, steps up and helps her out. Nate is the guy in town that everyone goes to for help. Yes, he's an EMT/firefighter, but his personality is hard not to like. That is until he meets Bethany. She is the first woman he strikes out with, but if she wants to friendzone him he supposes he'll have to live with it, until he becomes her fake boyfriend. If you haven't begun this series, you can pick it up at anytime. Seduced By Snowfall is a great addition to the series, but can be read as a complete standalone too.
