Seduced by the Highlander (Highlander Series #3) by Julianne MacLean

Lachlan MacDonald has conquered so many men on the battlefield—and so many women in the bedroom—that he is virtually undefeated. But one unlucky tryst with a seductive witch has cursed him forever. Now, any women he makes love to will be doomed for eternity…
Lady Catherine is a beautiful lass of elite origin—or so she is told. Suffering from amnesia, she is desperate to find the truth about who she really is…or, at the very least, meet someone who inspires an intense memory or emotion. When she first lays eyes on Lachlan MacDonald, Catherine has a sixth sense that he holds the key that will unlock her past—and maybe even her heart. But how could she know that the passion she ignites in this lusty warrior's heart could consume—and destroy—them both?
Julianne MacLean's Seduced by the Highlander is an engrossing, sizzling historical romance.

It won't win the Pulitzer, but if you're looking for a great escape this is the book for you. I'd recommend reading the first two books in this series before this one.

In 1718 in the Scottish Highlands, Kinloch Castle's Laird of War Lachlan MacDonald awakens to find himself chained inside a burial cist. He persuaded his cousin Kinloch Castle Laird Angus to exile the volatile dangerous Raonaid the Hebrides Oracle from Kinloch one month ago. Both despise each other while she rages at him for taking away her beloved Angus. Angry she throws the bones of his past lovers on him as she curses him with the knowledge that any woman who he impregnates will die in childbirth. Once freed, he vowed to force her to lift the curse; if she refuses he may use the curse to kill Raonaid. Three futile years later without a woman Lachlan catches up with Raonaid, but she insists she is the Drumloch heiress Lady Catherine Montgomery who suffers from amnesia and the dowager countess came for her in Italy claiming she is her grandmother. Skeptical, he assaults and threatens her but her cousin John Drumloch the earl rescues her. However, Catherine wonders whether this berserker Highlander might the one to help her regain what she most wants in life: her memories. This twisting super Scottish paranormal romance is a great finish to Julianne MacLean's Highlander historical saga (see Captured by the Highlander and Claimed by the Highlander). The story line grips readers from the onset with a neat curse and the lead male's premise on how to avenge what the witch did to him. With a strong cast especially the lead pairing and a fabulous spin, sub-genre fans will appreciate the curse. Harriet Klausner

Not as good as the previous books in this series. I was alittle disappointed because I thought Lachlan would have more substance to him. Alot of repeats of his feelings. I think the character of Catherine, was to eager and became lilke all the previous lasses to want to bed Lachlan. The store line was different and I did enjoy that. I feel these books do need to be read in order to understand the characters from previous books. I would still recommend this book, just as a whole not as good as the rest. This is the last book of the series, as of now. I did enjoy the epilogue very much.

I think that Julianne Maclean's "Captured by the Highlander" was a better book, but this one was pretty good as well. She always throws in a good plot that is beyond just the romance.

I am a huge fan of historical romance and have always liked this author. I did not think this story was as good as her other ones nor did I think the characters were as likeable.

Powerful with a touch of mystery. Love the fact that it ends with a diary entrance ten years later with updates for all three of the highlanders!

This book was a bit of the disappointment. The characters weren't as likable and the plot wasn't very good. The relationship between the characters didn't play out in a way that made me really root for them or grow attached to their relationship. I didn't understand what they really loved about each other that was significant. It definitely wasn't as good or as spell binding as the 2 prior books in the series.
