Overview

Seducing Charlotte by Diana Quincy

From enemies to lovers...

The wealthy and handsome Marquess of Camryn can have any woman he desires, but the charismatic bachelor shocks everyone by falling for the rather prudish Charlotte Livingston—who happens to abhor everything the rising politician and captain of industry represents.

Opposites attract...

When the no-nonsense social campaigner shows zero interest in him, Camryn is even more drawn to her and sets out to seduce the lady's mind—as well as her body. But as the attraction begins to burn between them, a violent rebellion rages across England, pitting the two against each other, and leaving their love caught in the crossfire.

Each book in the Accidental Peers series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.

I really enjoyed Seducing Charlotte. Diana Quincy is a talented storyteller who has weaved English historical events around the attraction between the Marquess of Camryn and Miss Charlotte Livingston, the daughter of a baron. I love Regency romances who show me something about the era and Quincy has centered her story around the beginning of England's industrial revolution. Camryn is an industrialist and Charlotte is a social reformer, which made for excellent conflict. I found Camryn and Charlotte very likable characters. It was easy to feel their growing attraction and I was eager to see how they would put aside their differences to give in to their well-written desires. Quincy is a master at making something as simple as a kiss scorching hot. With a keen use of foreshadowing I found myself waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop and was not disappointed in the story's progression. I'm looking forward to reading more from Diana Quincy.

SEDUCING CHARLOTTE by Diane Quincy is an exciting Regency historical romance. "The Accidental Peers" series. Debut novel and what a debut. Quick, fun read that is fast paced and passion filled. Filled with industry, textile mills, secrets, and did I mention passion. Follow,Charlotte Livingston and Marquess of Camryn on a journey of passion, through England,as a rebellion begins against the Textile industry. With the textile machine breakers getting increasing violent,a secret Charlotte harbors could destroy not only their budding romance but their lives and that of their friends. A wonderful debut. I can hardly wait for the next installment in "The Accidental Peers". Ms. Quincy has written an intriguing plot with engaging characters. A must read for any historical romance readers.Received for an honest review from the publisher. RATING: 4 HEAT RATING: MILD REVIEWED BY: AprilR,(Review courtesy of My Book Addiction and More)

How many ways can someone tell you that they don't want to marry you before you finally give up. Luckily the Duke doesn't give up easily and all is well in the end.

This story had just enough sex and romance to keep me interested.

An enjoyable regency romance with the unusual accompaniment of the Luddite movement. The main characters are wonderful, and thankfully human enough to actually like. It is not the world's best novel but it is an absolute joy on an otherwise miserable time.

Well done. While i do enjoy happily ever afters, after the initial sparks fizzle, the pace seems to slow down a tad.

Short but on point. Engaging characters and plot. The Luddites were an interesting development in reaction to industrialization.
