This is the first book in a new series by Jennifer Bernard. Set in the town of Jupiter Falls, hot shot fireman Sean Marcus has returned home after saving the lives of his entire hot shot crew after a terrifying experience during a wildfire. He has decided it's time to return to Jupiter Falls and start a new chapter in his life. He is in charge of establishing a new hot shot crew to help combat wildfires and support local firefighters when necessary. He never expected to see Evie again. However, Evie is still in her hometown and a business owner. The dark secret they share may tear them apart. Can they move past it or will Sean always just be considered the bad boy and never given a fair chance and can Evie ever move past that awful night years ago and find her Happily Ever After. I love reading all of Jennifer Bernard's books she draws me into the lives of her characters and she does it again with Ser the Night on Fire. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This was such a great start to a new series! Sean Marcus is a hotshot firefighter who comes home to Jupiter Point after being away for 13 years. Evie McGraw has never left and helps take care of her mom. As soon as Sean and Evie see each other again sparks fly. I loved how Sean took it slow with Evie to help her overcome her past. I fell in love with him! Evie was such a great character! I loved how she finally stood up for herself even if it wasn't the McGraw way. Old and new fans of Jennifer Bernard will love this story! I would definitely recommend it!

Set the Night on Fire is the first book in Jennifer Bernard’s new series: Jupiter Point. I loved this book from the outset. The opening pages were intense and they hooked me from the start. Evie McGraw is a character that’s special. From dealing with the events when she was a teenager to the stress of her mother’s illness and now having to face the men from her past, Evie went through a series of ups and downs. Sean Marcus, a Hotshot firefighter, has returned to Jupiter Point after being absent for thirteen years. He’s been gone since Evie experienced a horrible event that changed her. Now that he’s returned, Sean is faced with dealing with his own past and helping Evie overcome the night that forever changed her. I love friends to lovers’ tropes and Set the Night on Fire is a fantastic story. I enjoyed watching Evie learn to deal with the events of her past and how Sean faced his own past and didn’t let certain circumstances affect them finding their own happily ever after. Ms. Bernard set the stage for a fantastic series by creatively naming the various streets and restaurants in the town. I highly recommend Set the Night on Fire and look forward to the next book in the series. I’d like to disclose that I received an advance copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The town bad boy is back to clear his name Firefighter Sean Marcus left Jupiter Point in disgrace, but now he’s coming home to clear his name. As the man in charge of setting up the new Jupiter Point Hotshots wildfire crew, he’s out to prove he’s no longer the troubled boy who fled after a night of violence. He’s back for one reason only--and it isn’t to fall in love. The town sweetheart has a secret Evie McGraw has never spoken about that night. But she can’t escape it, especially now that her brother’s wild friend Sean is back. Rugged, sexy and irresistible, he’s the only one who knows what happened. Evie put her life on hold to protect her family, but now, she has to make a choice. Keep silent…or put her heart on the line and let Sean help heal the past? Review: YEAH! A new series centering around firemen and women. This is the new series by Ms. Bernard and it features a team of Hotshot fire fighters and their succumbing to love. Sean comes off as a bad boy with his wild ways past and no fear attitude, but inside he has such a soft heart. He protected Evie years ago from being brutally attacked by another boy. And after a near death experience he goes back to Jupiter Point to prove he has changed. That first scene with the hot shots being over run by fire was exhilarating and tense. Evie is a great character, she is strong but because of her past she tends to hide herself away, sexually and with her need to not cause confrontations. It was great to she her awaken sexually and standing up for herself after years of trying to hide the past. We get to meet some of the other firefighters and residents of Jupiter Point, but the focus of the story is Sean and Evie and their dealing with their attraction, their pasts and families. It is the first book in the new series, so start now to get in on the excitement and romance. 4Stars *I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

Firefighter Sean Marcus was head of a hot shot crew that got caught in a wildfire. The team had to use their shelters while the fire passed over them. I could almost feel the fire when I was reading about it. During that fire, Sean makes a promise to himself to return to Jupiter Point and start a hot shot crew there. He left disgraced years ago after spending the night in jail. He was trying to save Evie McGraw from being attacked by the town's perfect son. She never spoke a word of that night to anyone. Flash forward 13 years and now Evie is all grown up and still hiding that secret. She's kept quiet all of these years to protect her family at the expense of her own mental health. Now Sean is back and tries to get her to see why she must come clean. This was a great start to a brand new series and I cannot wait to see how the additional stories play out.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. Having been a fan/reader of several other Jennifer Bernard novels, I was hoping it would live up to what I pictured in my mind. I was NOT disappointed!!! This novel is the first in the series, so if you're looking for HOT, Sexy firefighters who likely find their HEA, don't look any further. This novel is about how things in the past can change and influence your life forever. It's about taking control of your life and your past so that you can move past it and LIVE! When difficult situations occurred in Evie's life, she buried her head in the sand. She didn't want people to think badly of her and she didn't want to "make waves". She grew up in a family where nobody brought up anything that would cause a commotion. With a sick mom who is easily agitated, Evie worried that bringing up her painful past would cause her mom further stress. So she chose to ignore the situation--until Sean comes into town..... Sean comes back to town to prove to them that he is NOT his dad, that he is a good man. He was hired to start up the new Hotshots crew for Jupiter Point. Sean thought coming back to town to do something positive and helpful to the community, would finally prove his worth. What he didn't expect, was Evie all grown up. He can't stay away from her, but feels undeserving of her love. Sean is the only one who truly knows Evie and her past. Will Evie risk upsetting her family and friends for a chance for her HEA??? I absolutely loved all the twists and turns at the end of this novel!!! I love the possibility of Suzanne and Josh....I can't wait for more novels in the Jupiter Point series!!!

My oh my...Sean Marcus has won my heart. Set the Night On Fire by Jennifer Bernard is a wonderful addition to your book collection. This is book 1 in her new Jupiter Point Series. Sean is back in Jupiter Point to head up the newly formed hotshot crew. Years prior he left town after a very unpleasant visit to the towns jail. Now he's back and his past has come back to haunt him...again. Evie McGraw is the town's darling. Soft spoken and never one to cause waves. The first sight of Sean throws her world Topsy turvy and she becomes everything that she says she's not....and causes her to make waves for the local politician (who just happens to be a total jerk). The more time Evie spends with Sean the more outspoken and free she becomes. I loved this story. I loved all the characters who are involved. The story moves along at a nice steady pace...just right in my opinion. If you are a fan of Ms Bernard's books or if you are new to her stories...you won't want to miss this one! Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Jennifer Bernard is off to a great start with book 1 in her Jupiter Point series, Set the Night on Fire. The story grabs you right from page one and I found it difficult to put down. I fell in love with both Sean and Evie and really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop as they dealt with their pasts and coming to terms with it. Sean is the bad boy come back to town to prove himself while Evie is the hometown sweetheart who never wants to stir anything up. If you loved Jennifer’s other firefighter series, you will love her new series based around a Hotshot wildfire crew. We are introduced to some of them in this book and I look forward to reading their stories in future books. This book has everything- hot romance, sexy fireman, realistic characters, humor, and action. What more could you want?

Wow, what a great start! Set the Night on Fire is the first book in Jennifer Bernard's new series set in Jupiter Point, and wow, what a start! Bernard tosses you right into the action and doesn't slow down until the last sentence. After his crew survives an unpredictable wild fire, Sean follows through on his "if I make it through" promise and heads back to Jupiter Point. He had the reputation of a bad boy and hothead, and is now returning to head the new crew of hotshots, determined to show the town he has changed. Sean has something to prove, but didn't realize how much his return would affect Evie McGraw. Sean is the only one who knows the secret she has tried to bury and forget, but his return forces Evie to re-evaluate her life. With characters that jump off the page and a town that you wish was real, the story kept me hooked from beginning until the end. Bernard definitely has a way with characters and story including a deft hand with humor. At times, you will find yourself laughing and sighing. Jupiter Point is a town I can't wait to visit, again and again! **I received an Advanced Copy in exchange for an honest review.**

Sean is back and determined to prove he is worthy. Evie has a secret she is determined to hide. Sean is the one person that shares her secret. She thinks he can help her reinvent her life, make things better. But can he? Can they both get beyond the past and find something new? I loved the chemistry between Sean and Evie. Their story was emotional and captivating. This is one of those books you just cannot put down. I highly recommend it!

Wow! That was one smoking hot, sweet, and sexy start to the new Jupiter Point series by Jennifer Bernard! I couldn't put this one down. Sean was the typical single, no relationship guy, with a few past issues to deal with. Evie was the town sweetheart with secrets that eventually had to come out. But they had some serious chemistry, and it took some soul-searching for both of them to find their HEA. Nicely done, Ms. Bernard. Cannot wait for Josh & Suzanne's story!

I just may have a new favorite Jennifer Bernard series AND hero! Bernard tackles some serious issues in her new book. And handles them well. But of course, there is love, and hot firefighters, this time, hotshots. The town bully is looking for political aspirations, but the town sweetheart and the town bad boy know who he really is and they share a secret. As the town sweetheart and town bad boy fall for each other, the town bully tries to keep them down - or cause major problems for them. But bullies never win. And love always does. READ. THIS. BOOK.

Set the Night on Fire is the start of Jennifer Bernard’s new Jupiter Point series. A small town in California, Jupiter Point is known for its stargazing and tourism. When a local hotshot crew decides to make the town its home base, things are going to heat up. Sean Marcus left Jupiter Point in disgrace as a teenager after spending the night in jail. Now a respected member of a hotshot crew, he decides to return home and set up a local hotshot crew and prove to the town that he’s not the screw-up his father was. Evie McGraw never left. After Sean spent the night in jail for defending her she withdrew into herself. She became the town good-girl that never rocked the boat. Sean’s return unleashes the tight control she’s always held over herself and she raises her head from the sand to realize that life has been passing her by. At its core, Set the Night on Fire, is about learning to be the people we were meant to be. Sometimes that means rocking the boat. Sean and Evie both have some growing up left to do and Jupiter Point is the perfect place for them to do it. They are definitely better together. Infused with Bernard’s trademark humor and hunky firemen, this series is off to a fabulous start. There are a few loose ends that will hopefully get tied up as the series moves forward. I know, I will definitely be reading. Copy received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I have read several other Jennifer Bernard books and have never been disappointed. That record continues. Jennifer has a way of enveloping you into the story. You are like one of the other characters in the story. I loved the story of Sean and Evie, their history, the current relationship and what the future holds for them. Jupiter Point sounds like an awesome place to visit. I can't wait to visit again with the next book in the Hot Shots series! I love authors that create characters with humor, real emotions and insecurities! And this book made me laugh out loud at times. Shed a tear or two as well. And it doesn't hurt the visuals she creates of those Hot Shot Firemen. Great book!

An awesome start to a new series by Jennifer Bernard. Can you say, smoke-in hot smoke jumpers have arrived in Jupiter Point. The only problem is that Sean left years ago on not so good feelings. Evie has harbored a secret for many years, but with Sean returning, she is able to finally put the past behind her and confront her fears. Sean does not do love and Evie does not trust. They can't put their mutual sizzling chemistry on the back fire though, believe me things are hot between the two!! Jennifer has upped her sizzling romance to hot! Great characters that show so much emotion for each other and not afraid to stand up for them. I'm already in love with this small town of Jupiter Point, can't wait to read more of the smoke jumpers.
