From New York Times bestselling author Kim Karr comes a sexy and sizzling, enemies-to-lovers romcom with a bite.
Everyone I know is married.
It doesn't bother me. I like my life the way it is. Since I'm single though, when my best friend and her husband finally decide to go on their dream honeymoon, she asks me to watch their three-year-old son.
Of course, I say yes.
What my best friend neglects to tell me is that I won't be babysitting alone.
Feeling Max might be too much for me to handle, her husband asks his only single friend to help.
Nick Carrington and I have met a couple of dozen times. I've never really given him a second thought--other than to say he's kind of a jerk. Out loud. So he can hear. Sure, he's tall, dark, and handsome. And yes, he has the best ass I've ever seen, and I mean ever seen quite literally. You see he mooned me at last year's Fourth of July barbecue because, like I said, he's a jerk.
He always has to be the life of the party.
He's also arrogant.
And a playboy.
I'd even go as far as to say he's a manwhore.
And now I'm stuck with him...for two weeks!
Don't look at me like that!
It wasn't like I had a choice.
Besides...what could possibly happen? It's not like we're going to fall in love or anything like that!

Really good story
Really enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. Can't wait to read more from this author
This struck me as the author put a lot of time and work into creating a story, got maybe 80% through it, and then realized they needed to hurry up and finish it so they tried to tie up any loose ends as quickly as possible. The end was so rushed, and the conclusion was pretty pathetic, with the resolution to the main conflict actually getting thrown into the epilogue. Idk. I would have given the first half of the story 4 stars and the second half 1 Star, so I just averaged them together.
Really enjoyed reading this book. Good plot with various situations that are well developed.
Good story , very enjoyable .
A real page turner
4.5 Fun & Sexy Stars! I loved this enemies to lovers romance, it was everything I crave in a story. It was witty, heartwarming, emotional, so hot and sexy, and a bit of suspense that made it even more thrilling! Tess Winters came home to Chicago after enduring a bad breakup with her lover and business partner. She is determined to open her own cafe, making it on her own and not depending on anyone. When her best friend asks her to babysit for her little boy, Max, she was overjoyed to help out. She didn't realize that they also asked Nick Carrington to stay at their house to help as well. When Tess realizes the sexy jerk she has tried to avoid for years is there to stay, she tries to make the best of it. Soon she finds that he is not the jerk she always thought he was. He is great with Max, fun to be around and very considerate. Could she have misjudged him? When Nick learns that Tess isn't the stuffy prude he feared she was, all bets are off and he has to possess her. I really loved everything about Nick and Tess. They were witty, caring, and smoking hot together! They challenged each other and faced their challenges head on. But Someone doesn't approve of their partnering and the suspense adds to the excitement. I also loved their friends who were intriguing, supportive and fun. This is a wonderful start to this series and I am excited to read more from these characters. This book is the perfect blend of humor, charm, emotion and steam. It captured my heart and had me totally engaged from start to finish. I definitely recommend this must read romance!
