SHADOWS IN THE GRASS is a delightful romantic suspense. Her characterizations are excellent, the story interesting and the reader can't help but root for the young mother to make a go of her business venture. Of course, there is a snake in the grass wondering when he will strike and the sweet romance has a few problems to work out before it can come to fruition. I enjoyed her son, Jess, her business associates and her best friend, Shelly, who is always trying to talk her into selling her farm and moving to town. This is the first novel I have read by the talented Ms. Senehi and I will be looking forward to her future books.

Just enough intrigue, suspense, action, and romance in this delightful book. The descriptions are wonderful - you can visualize the characters and settings - wander through the gardens of the heroine. And best of all, there is a surprise ending. The suspense and 'what happens next' keeps you reading until the wee hours of the morning!

While originally from upstate New York, Rose Senehi now lives and works in South Carolina, so we claim her as our own. Her first book, however, takes her back to her roots in the countryside near Syracuse, New York, and the book is interesting and compelling reading. A young widow is struggling to keep her farm going and raise her child. A big-time, wealthy musician buys the property across the road, and the two get on each other's nerves for a while before they get into ... well, I don't want to give the plot away, but it's a real reading romp. I loved the action and the dialogue and the characters were all mostly people you'd like to know.
