Overview

Lelani Wayne trusted no one but her familiar, Roger. And even he, at times, got on her last nerve. She didn't like being around people. People made her nervous, and when a witch as powerful as she was got nervous, it could be disastrous for anyone in the vicinity.

A powerful witch, Erin Wayne, knew she was going to die, and reached out to the closest being she could find to take her powers and memories. She connected with Kiaran, Asher's dragon counterpart. The jolt of the transfer took all the Benson's to their knees.

The Benson's were on a mission to finish the reconstruction of the castle. Shane, and his dragon counterpart, Keion, were doing their share to make it happen. But when Shane saw his very pregnant sister-in-law, Essie, bringing lunch, and a stranger approaching her fast, he couldn't get to Essie fast enough. The baby was coming--now.

Lelani was looking for Kiaran to get her sister's memories and warn him that the Herald, a group of witch hunting zealots, might have traced the memories and be after Kiaran as well. What she didn't expect to find was Shane and Keion, two very big, handsome, virile men, invading her personal space claiming to be her mate. That made her nervous....

Oh Kathi you tease! The kind and queen of dragons have already set things in motion for each of their children. They have made sure that every person comes at the right time when necessary to help the family survive the upcoming obstacles that will fall in their paths. Lelani Wayne grew up listening how her mother and sister were hand picked by the king and queen to help them in their mission. She was treated literally as if she had nothing to give to her family, so she left when she could to get away from the problems her sister seemed to get into. Shane and Keion are working hard with their brothers and family to complete the castle. When they meet Lelani they know she is their mate, but she won't be an easy one to catch and love. They must also help to weed out the traitors on their own land that are working with The Herald (the group out to kill all the witches). I can't wait for when Sally wakes up and can meet all the newest members of their family. She seems to be the rock for the whole family, and yet you can feel as if there is a hole in the heart of the family because she still hasn't come back to them.

If you've read book three, Elam, then you remember the teasing snippet we were given involving a woman named Erin. Erin, close to death, knew she had to do something and transferred her powers, her memories, to the most powerful being closest to her at the time. That person was Kiaran. Now we're given a little peek into the history of Erin and her Mom, Mary. They're both witches, neither possessing any significant power, but what they do have is a mouth that never stops moving whether it's spreading lies, insults, or stories that benefit only them. It isn't until after Erin's death, her Mom having died long ago, that we meet Lelani, Erin's twin sister, the child that Mary didn't know she was also carrying and that both Mary and Erin made it their mission in life to make her feel less than in every aspect of her existence. However, Lelani was the one that received all the power and then some, yet she truly doesn't believe in her own worth. As Lelani connects with Kiaran in order to obtain her sister's memories, she comes face to face with her mates, Shane and Keion. Though all three are a little hesitant, due to mistakenly believing they aren't ready for a mate, it doesn't take long to change their minds nor for them to fall in love. Will Shane, Keion, and Lelani, along with the rest of the Benson family, defeat the Herald before it's too late? Are more dragons, as well as other supernaturals, on the way to join the Bensons? Will Lelani realize that she is deserving of love and has found it with her new mates and family? Will they get their HEA? Who will be the next man and dragon duo to find their mate? What will she be like? What journey will their mating take them on? One-click now and read along as this family grows yet again and defeats those out to harm others. Please keep in mind this is book four in the series and I highly recommend reading the stories in order for the sake of continuity and full enjoyment of the characters. **I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

I have to say that I love how Ms. Barton has combined the past and the present. The characters are interesting, unique and add some colorful incidents to the storyline. With each book we learn more about the dragon king and queen and the lengths they took to make sure their children were safe. Each new mate brings something magical to the family and Ms. Barton lays the ground work for the next book in the series smoothly and without fail. My only regret is that I don't feel like we are getting to know who the two male children really are, we get glimpses but nothing concrete like we did with Asher. Shane and Keion are ready for a mate, they do not seem to be at odds with each other and really work out well together. Lelani is a powerfully scary being and I am not sure the poor family is ready for her. ( ha ha). I thought the story was easy to follow and read smoothly, I liked the spunk of this new mate and I think she is going to make things happen. The ending left me with questions, I will not elaborate as I don't want to give anything away but I think a wish might come true. I eagerly await the next addition to this great series. I was given an ARC for an honest review

Shane is the fourth book in the Dragon's Saviors Series. Shane and his counterpart Keion aren't looking for a mate - they are busy working on restoring the castle - but they both know that eventually one will come their way. Lelani Wayne is a very powerful witch and looking for the person who got her sister Erin's memories and power when she was killed by The Herald. She reached out to Kiaran (Asher's counterpart) who got the memories. She came to the Benson land to find him and came upon Essie who was ready to have her baby. Shane got very scared when he saw the stranger approaching Essie very fast - he couldn't get to her fast enough. What he didn't know was the Lelani was his and Keion's mate. Lelani isn't ready for a mate let alone two. Lelani and all witches are being hunted and killed by The Herald. Will Shane and Keion be able to save Lelani? Will they be able to stop The Herald? This is definitely a must read and would recommend to everyone. Thank you Kathi S Barton for another great book in an awesome series.
