This novel has all the elements of a great romance. Mystery, inventive sex scenes, and actual romance were interwoven so superbly that the text never lacked a dry or boring moment. As the story progresses, you can almost feel the intense love Roman develops for Phoenix. Unlike most romance novel, I especially like how the male character is the first one to declare his love. I also like how the love for the orphaned baby, Junior, was threaded throughout the text. Roman is such an alpha-male, wanting what's best for his family, that he had me rooting for him the whole time. Phoenix took a couple of actions at the end which caused me to question her sanity, but perhaps that was the authors intent. All-in-all, at 315 pages for 1.99 Sheer Pleasure is definitely worth reading.

Hard to put into words....phoenix was very brave but an idiot as well. She ran off and was gone for weeks and when roman found her they made up in 2mins. It also seemed the story skipped from one scebe to another. Story was good tho. It was either too long or too short. Countess and club members became too tedious and phoenix's and roman 's relationship wasnt based on happily ever after but plain sex...they needed time to really get to know each other...l dont know if i liked her or not..coyldnt really connect with her. I loved roman !

The story and characters were interesting, the main male and female characters seemed a bit sexed obsessed though. The villians were believable only because I know there are people like that out there. The main problem I had with the story is that a few times I had to go back a page just to make sure I hadn't skipped a page, but I hadn't, the story just seemed to skip.
