About the Author

Ten-year-old Julia Grunwell is a kitten fanatic! When she is not writing stories about cats, she is finding her inspiration by visiting her local cat rescue shelter. As soon as Julia began spending time with the cats and kittens at the shelter, she realized that no two cats were alike. All of her main characters in this story are based on real cats that Julia met at the shelter. Every feline brings its own experiences, background, and personality to influence Julia's writing. Julia sees a lot of herself in Edwena, but each cat she has met has its own riveting story just scratching to be told.
Julia lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her parents and her two older sisters, Caroline and Elizabeth. Her favorite authors include J.K. Rowling and Ridley Pearson. She loves to draw, read, and travel with her family. Obviously, an animal lover, Julia also loves meeting new dogs, bunnies, and horses, although surprisingly, she has yet to be allowed to get a pet of her own. Julia is determined to change this in the future.
