Nicola Rendell never ceases to amaze me with her out of the box and one of a kind ideas, and let me just say that her newest release, Shimmy Bang Sparkle is no exception! Last year I was fortunate enough to discover this author's incredible collection and I quickly found myself devouring book after book of hers until I reached the very end. So you can imagine how much I have been anticipating her next book for the last few months. When I finally got ahold of this story I was jumping for joy and I found myself captivating by every word. The red hot chemistry between Nick and Stella was there right from the beginning and my goodness did it set my heart of fire. I absolutely LOVED everything about these two and I couldn't take my eyes off of them for even a second. They were the perfect match that left me swooning until the very end. I think that they might just be my favorite Nicola Rendell couple to date! Shimmy Bang Sparkle is unlike any book on the market today, which is refreshing. The storyline is completely original and you won't be able to anticipate all the twists and turns throughout! I strongly recommend one-clicking this book if you want to read something unique with phenomenal characters that you won't want to let go of when you reach the end.

Shimmy Bang Sparkle is a wonderful romantic adventure for readers who love stories about good-hearted thieves. Nicola Rendell brings on the sexy and sweet as Nick and Stella find each other against incredible odds. Their instant connection fuels a plot full of passion and risks. I loved the origin of the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs and Stella's steadfast loyalty to her friends. This is perfect for readers who enjoyed Michelle Dayton's Strange Tango series. I'm definitely looking to reading more from Nicola Rendell! *ARC provided in consideration for review*

Final Score - 5 Sparkly Stars! Nicola Rendell has solidified herself in my ever growing list of #AuthorMustHaves! Her latest novel, SHIMMY BANG SPARKLE had me engrossed page after page, swooning over the hero's attitude and laughing out loud at the sarcastic banter - in a word, GET THIS BOOK. You won't regret it. I've never read a heist book interwoven with romance before, and I have to say ... after reading this, I'm a new fan! Stella & Nick's chemistry was electrifying from the start - even though it all started when Nick caught sight of Stella thru a glass window. From their first meeting to the end, they made a believer that sometimes fate takes a hand in things and leads you on path to something you never knew you wanted, but could never live without. And their chemistry only made the sex scenes that more intense - sprinkled with a little bit of comedic fun. This book has the feeling of a series starter - in that I want to know more about Ruth & Roxie's background and future projects. Let's hope that feeling comes to fruition (*Hint, HINT* Ms. Rendell *wink*). I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what the author cooks up next.

“From lasagna to larceny” An absolutely delightful, smart and sexy romance...5+stars! I love everything about Shimmy Bang Sparkle. It’s a romantic story that is smart and sexy and the characters just pop right out at you. There is magnetic chemistry between Stella and Nick and it’s a connection they can’t deny. And what an assortment of secondary characters who enrich this story filled with excitement and humor. What are the chances of two jewel thieves meeting and falling in love, although, both are fighting the attraction as much as possible? For Stella Marie Pretti, a relationship with a man just complicates her life. Her gal pals, Ruth and Roxie, are longtime friends from childhood, and since, have become Lady Robin Hoods of the American Southwest. Nick Norton discovers they’re the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs, a legendary group of jewel thieves. He’s impressed but wary as he’s trying to stay out of trouble. Barely a month out of jail, Nick doesn’t need the complication, but damn, if he can stay away from the mystifying and alluring woman. A crimp in the Shimmy Bang’s plans to steal a famous jewel is derailed and Nick finds himself offering his expert services. It’s a caper that rivals all, and Stella and Nick are as smooth as the Pink Panther. I was on edge the whole time they were planning the heist. Just when things seem so smooth, the unthinkable happens, and it looked like a “happily-ever-after” was in danger of coming together for our two lovers. Ms. Rendell gives us a wonderful resolution, and I was cheering for Nick and Stella, and Roxie and Ruth. She delivers a wonderfully suspenseful and entertaining romance with a swoon-worthy hero and strong heroine who loves her man. A great story I won’t soon forget and highly recommend. I received a copy from Montlake Romance via NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This was pretty fun. It’s not everyday you get to read about jewel thiefs. Nick and Stella are not only super sexy together, they make a great couple. Great chemistry. There were a couple of times they made me chuckle. Sure, there was some silly parts here and there, but it made the story entertaining. I loved the details on the jobs they pulled off, it was really clever. If this were a movie, I would totally watch it. It has like an Ocean’s 8 feel but there’s only 3 of them. I hope we see more of the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs!

4.5 Shimmy Bang Stars Review by Nancy Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Shimmy Bang Sparkle by Nicola Rendell is a humorous, delightful, thrilling read. I earnestly enjoyed reading this book. I was expecting a lot more thrill and less wit, but nonetheless it was a great story! A very unexpected well received story. Nick and Stella are a match made in heist heaven. Just when Nick, a reformed jewelry thief, decides to stay on the straight and narrow he meets Stella. Stella is your modern day Robin Hood, also a member of the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs, a gang of jewel thieves. There is no wonder why Nick and Stella were absolutely meant for each other. The dynamic between our two leading characters made for a lot of witty banter and sexy scenes. Falling in love was not part of the plan, if anything it would complicate things for both of them. But the more time Nick and Stella spent together the harder it was to fight the feelings growing between them. I loved the flow of the book. Despite the book being comedic, at times, there was a good balance of emotions. Between planning a heist and falling in love we get to experience an emotional and fulfilling love story. A definite must read!

Shimmy Bang Sparkle is definitely unique. While the title is not quite as clear as the diamond in its midst at the start, you soon learn the meaning. I have to be honest when I first read the title i almost bypassed the book. It's sounded way too....girly. As the opposite of girly girly, it made me cringe a bit....but when you see that hunk on the cover its hard not to stop and take a second look. So clearly there's a hot tattooed up man ready to give you everything in your wildest dreams- what's not to love!?! Shimmy Bang Sparkle has its utterly hilarious moments. It has adorably cute moments. It has awesome moments of sweet revenge. It is for the most part fun. I just had trouble connecting with the characters. I liked them both. I liked their personalities. I liked the idea of them together. I just didn't feel their chemistry. I didn't FEEL any of it. It took a long while to get into the story and it didn't ensnare me. I feel like I missed the sparkle somehow. As I said though, its fun and makes for a unique story. So do a shimmy and see if it sparkles for you.... Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood

This is the type of book you can't put down! I was hooked from page one. Nick's internal debate as he watches Stella through the window? The moment he decides he can't just walk away. The moment they play roles they never intended to play. I LOVED this book. I loved the dynamic between the characters--and not just our main characters, but all of them. The loyalty, the love, the heat? It's all there. Nicola Rendell paints the scene--EVERY scene--perfectly. I felt like I was along for the ride. At the jewelry store? Check. On the bike? Check. Out to dinner? Check. Skating rink? Check. Pony Up? Check. The imagery is spot on and I like nothing more than to feel like I'm living the story. If you want an un-put-down-able book, grab Shimmy Bang Sparkle! You'll laugh, you'll love, and you'll never want to leave!

Shimmy Bang Sparkle is by Nicola Rendell. I’ve been such a fan of Nicola’s since I first came across her books. But just when I thought she couldn’t amaze me any more, when she couldn’t make me fall in love any deeper, she did! Nick Norton is forty years old, covered in tattoos, rides a Ducati motorcycle, and just got out of prison. You see, Nick is or rather “was” a thief, who specialized in his knack for picking locks and opening safes. It wasn’t necessarily a profession he chose, he just sort of was pushed into it once his abilities were discovered. But, he got caught and now he’s out. It’s the life of the straight and narrow for him now. He has no interest in going back to prison. It was just by happenstance, though, that he was in the right place at the right time that day, and he saw her. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Of all places, she was in a jewelry store trying on a diamond ring. He had to get closer. He had to talk to her. Then he saw her do it, and she was no amateur, she stole the ring, right out from under the nose of the sales lady. Nick should run, not walk, away from this woman. She was everything he needed to stay away from. But he couldn’t. He had to know more about her, he needed to know more about her. “With her in my arms, I felt hope. And I wanted to protect that.” Stella Peretti was a jewel thief along with her two best friends. They called themselves the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs. But they didn’t steal for their own gain. They were like lady Robin Hoods. Right now the person that needed her help was her elderly neighbor, Mr. Bozeman. She could not let the hunky man that just walked in distract her. Really, though, he was a walking, talking distraction. So when he showed back up later that day, she couldn’t say no when he asked her out to dinner. And so they began, Stella and Nick. Their chemistry was off the charts. They awoke something in each other that perhaps both had given up on. “She made things happen inside me I hadn’t felt in years. Maybe ever. Things I didn’t know I ever deserved to feel at all. Gratitude. Peace. Possibility. Hope. Love. Once-in-a-lifetime love.” Stella and her friends had been planning on something big for awhile now. But both of her friends suffered an accident and Stella was on her own. Could she accept Nick’s offer to help and put his future in danger? Or should she take his help? It’s her last job and the biggest thing she has ever attempted. Then the future would be theirs. “With a single look, he could make the world fall away.” I think this sets the stage for you. These two were good people, loyal to the ones they loved, they just chose a different sort of career than most people. But they wanted to go straight. This was their very last job. It was a beautiful thing watching things develop between them. It might seem like it was fast but what they had was real and true. They were perfect for each other. Nicola has found the perfect balance in this book between sweet romance, smoking hot sexy times, and suspense. I could not put this book down. This is probably a strange thing to say but Stella made me want to be a better person. I’m sure you are thinking, “What!” with her being a jewel thief and all. But you will understand when you get to know her. She’s just that wonderful. I do want to take a minute, though, to say that the character that REALLY stole the show in this book was the dachshund Priscill
