In true Old West fashion, Corydon Cooley and Marion Clark decided ownership of their ranch in the White Mountains with a game of seven-up. Cooley turned over the winning low card, and the name, Show Low, became history. Today the main street is the Deuce of Clubs, and visitors learn the town was Named by the Turn of a Card.
