The south coast of Sicily runs from Gela to Sciacca and is relatively unvisited by tourists, except for Agrigento's splendid temples - one of Sicily's must-sees. Gela has some important historic remains. The coastline also has marvelous beaches, particularly the white cliffs of Eraclea Minoa, north of Agrigento.
