Silence the Echo

Humankind has forgotten its obligation to live lightly upon our planet.

Civilization is about to disappear.

Twelve thousand years ago, the ice age ends precipitously. Cataclysm looms. Unless preserved for the few who shall inherit Earth, twenty millennia of human history and accomplishment will be forever lost.

Gifted young telepaths are recruited from the old clans to learn the ancient physics of time travel. Their mission: teach people of the future how to access a crystalline Hall of Records.

As seas rise, storms rage, and tremors persist, spirited Seerce and a clever ally find evidence of experimental energy production. Why do the best minds of science accept a catastrophic fate, when they ought to intervene in what disturbs Earth?

Quickly, these two rebels and Seerce's forbidden lover find themselves under the scrutiny of a powerful master of esoteric arts. He has his own design upon Seerce's destiny.

About the Author

As intrigued by people as she is by science, Alea Carroll chose medical social work as her profession. A listening ear and strong intuition guided her interviews and interventions with patients. Survivor of a near death experience, Carroll provided counsel to the gravely ill and their families, an advocate for informed choice about treatment options, to include comfort measures and hospice care. Crucial conversations inform her mastery in writing dialogue.

Ancient civilizations, geologic history, and Earth sciences have been lifelong interests. Fascinated since childhood with Atlantis stories, she has read extensively about the notion of a common mother culture, completely destroyed by cataclysm. Aware by various means of her own incarnations in other times and places, Carroll's experience of hypnotic age regression opened a vista upon an intriguing story line: When all signs point to widespread geologic disaster, how would civilization's history and heritage be preserved for those who follow? Must humankind be condemned in every new era to begin again?

Research into what ended the last ice age, geologic catastrophism, and how the body of Earth transmits electromagnetic energy, are the basis of Carroll's science fiction. By her personal study of metaphysics and the creation stories of tribal peoples, she fantasizes an original agreement between the first people of Earth and the planet's spirit. These themes she weaves into the challenges of emerging adulthood, as climate change accelerates and world order devolves. Thus Carroll adds her voice to the chorus for climate stabilization, convinced that story is a powerful force.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, the author lives and writes near Seattle, Washington, USA, amidst the enchantment of coastal views, rain forests, and the rugged mountains of the Olympic Peninsula. Visit her website, https://AleaCarroll.com
