Slocum’s spellbound by a bewitching beauty…

The folks of Westlake aren’t usually a superstitious lot. But one woman has them believing she can curse livestock, concoct love potions, and make anyone foolish enough to cross her disappear—forever.
John Slocum doesn’t believe in witches. But he does believe the exotic Minh has certain charms he wouldn’t mind exploring. Trouble is, she’s got a price on her head. And the only spell that’s gonna save her is the one Slocum weaves with his guns…

Five to One

It only took Slocum a second to take in the sight in front of him. Coyote had his back to the farthest wall of the kitchen area and was holding Minh. It didn’t take much imagination to figure out the intentions of the man with his pants down. A third armed man stood in the corner of the cabin where Minh kept her exotic supplies and mysterious jars. The fellow with the shotgun was closest to the door, and a fifth gunman was near the foot of Minh’s bed.

Coyote kept his grip on Minh’s neck and pulled her in front of him. “The money on this witch’s scalp goes to us!” he said. “You want her, you’ll have to fight for her!”

Smiling scornfully, Slocum replied, “That shouldn’t be much of a problem . . .”
