Quando si parla di Somalia il primo pensiero che viene in mente è "Black Hawk Down", evento conosciutissimo. grazie alle capacità dei media americani di promuovere le gesta delle proprie forze armate. Probabilmente non gode della stessa notorietà, in particolar modo tra le nuove generazioni, la "Battaglia del Pastificio" avvenuta nello stesso contesto il 2 luglio 1993.
