About the Author
Author Sharmi Bhalla was born on 11 February 1945 in Nairobi, Kenya in “Jani” family of eight as the 4th born. She grew up in Nairobi and at the age of 16 she left for United Kingdom where she studied and worked for some time.
She was born in a family of Hindu devotees, her mother being a Hindu priestess and her eldest sister presently the spokeswoman for the Hindus in East Africa. Sharmi went through a struggle of looking for inner peace from the many gods and goddesses in the Hindu pantheon.
She got married in 1974 to Mr. Ashok Bhalla and has two daughters, Shalini and Shivani. She then worked in different organizations and companies in many managerial positions.
She searched for inner peace for ten years, in the process she went all the way to India and even met Sai at his hermitage (ashram). Finally in 1999 she encountered the Lord and ever since then her life has never been the same. It is out of the numerous experiences she has had with the Lord and she ministers and shares her belief to many people.
Currently she is the author of two books; Soul on Fire and Miracles of motivation and one upcoming title ‘I will not be afraid’. She is also a televangelist and hosts a programme called ‘Soul on Fire which airs on ------- channel in India and reaches over ----- homes. she also has a deep passion for playing golf.
