Space Cat - Episode 1: Interstellar Encounter
The Mireets have been plying the cosmos for several thousand years. The massive and almost random evacuation of their planet of origin just prior to its cataclysmic destruction, resulted in many uncoordinated 'colonies.' One of the few colonies to survive and flourish one established on a small planet in a distant orbit of the sun we know as Regulus, in the Leo Constellation. Subsequently, this colony has been covertly searching out and rendering aid to less fortunate colonies. In Space Cat: Episode One, we observe an unusual occurrence, which results in an unexpected human revelation with possible difficulties. What happens when two races collide, especially when the younger race has a superiority complex? Read on and find out.

About the Author

Ron James began reading science fiction at the age of 13. He devoured the works of such authors as Arthur C. Clark, Isaac Asimov, James Blish, Andre Norton, H. Beam Piper, Anne McCaffrey, and many, many others.
The idea of writing such works never entered his mind. He considered he had been privileged to read the writings of those he knew to be the masters. Competing for attention with such talent and ability was out of the question. It still is.
After many decades, Ron has turned to writing to offer some entertainment to people in the form of a few tales. He draws on his life's experiences with electronics; photography; astronomy; aviation; military service; business sales, service, and management; several years as a full time RV 'snow-bird' after retirement; and especially an overwhelming appreciation of the intricate personality of cats.
A master of the art? No Way! However, definitely a tale spinner with some following.
Ron lives in a small Sonoran Desert community in Arizona, where he photographs distant galaxies and nebulosity, and peers over his 12-pound, attention demanding, orange tabby while composing stories.
He is a member of the Hassayampa Writers' Club, an affiliate of the Society of Southwestern Authors.
