Because BB Easton had so much fun writing her bestselling, award-winning memoir, 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, she decided to give each of her four men his own steamy standalone. SPEED is Harley's book-a gritty, 90s-era love triangle overflowing with dark humor, intense heat, and tangible teen angst. It is based on a true story.
After her possessive, psychopathic, rage-fueled ex, Knight, joins the Marines, sixteen-year-old BB is left trying, and failing, to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. It isn't until she meets Harley James-an easy-going, tattooed mechanic with a face as angelic as his habits are sinful-that she learns how to live again. How to laugh again. But will she learn to love again?
Over Knight's dead body.
*Due to excessive profanity, violence, graphic sexual content, and themes of juvenile drug use and delinquency, this book is not intended for-and should probably be completely hidden from-anyone under the age of eighteen.

Being a muscle car girl and a little rockabilly too I couldn’t wait to dive back into BB’s fast pace world with a happier tone rather than angst and passion. Although I loved that she was happy again I really missed Knight and every time he came back I swear my heart skipped a beat. I hope he found his happy ending
*POTENTIAL SPOILERS*POTENTIAL SPOILERS*POTENTIAL SPOILERS* F***ing BB... I've loved Knight since before I ever even read a single one of BB's books. So much so that I was pretty positive that I wouldn't even bother reading Star and Suit... because, what's the point? Knight would probably be gone by then. (I'm partially kidding.. I love BB, and would probably read a phone book if someone said she'd written it). When I started reading Speed, though, she made me like Harley.. and I started to consider that maybe I could love them all (because BB is just that good)... Until Knight came back and I was left, literally, bawling at work and wishing that she would work literary magic and give at least fictional BB and Knight the happily ever after. Eff Harley, Eff Hans, Eff Ken... #SorryNotSorry #TeamKnight #Gutted
B.B. Easton is the girl I wished I could have been in high school. Smart, cool, and badass. I went into this book knowing it was about Harley, who was featured in her first book 44 Chapters. I didn't know I would also get a dose of Knight and as someone who has been #teamKnight since day 1, I couldn't have been more excited. Knight brings the drama and angst that I love so much, and at the same time, he also brings a lot of the sweetness and heart. I went into it thinking this was going to be a fun book about a fun guy named Harley and it was so, so much more. I laughed, my heart broke, there were a whole lot of what the hell moments, and it was exactly the badass book I've come to love from B.B. Easton. There was a moment where I audibly gasped and any book that can do that is a book that deserves all the stars in the world!!
