Three months ago, life was normal for Billie Culpepper. Drab even. All that changed after an accident left her in a coma for three days. That's when the spookshow began and Billie realized that she could see the dead.
And the dead could see her.
Now, they won't leave her alone.
Coerced into touring a local haunted house, Billie uncovers a terrible secret that brings not onlythe police but the detective responsible for putting her into the hospital in the first place. He's also the one man Billie's sworn to stay away from.
Author's note: The Spookshow is the first book in a new paranormal series about what lies on the other side of the veil. Complicating matters is the homicide detective who comes to her for help, man she's drawn to but cannot be with.
So far, the books are:
1. The Spookshow
2. Welcome to the Spookshow
3. The Women in the Walls
4. Bringing up the bodies
5. Half-Boys and Gypsy Girls
The Spookshow is a fast-paced introduction into the world of ghosts, murder, mystery, the occult and the heartbreaks of wayward twenty-somethings trying to find their place in life.

To a series!
I just finished the boxed set of Spookshow by Tim Mac Gregor. The first and most important thing I can tell you if you want to read this series is start with book 2 followed by book 3 then book 1 ending up with book 4. The reason I say this is because book 1 is about Billie Culpepper who was clinically dead for 2 minuets and upon waking from a coma can now see dead people. The story continues about a place called The Murder House where the evil spirit of a woman resides. After finishing book 1 I started book 2 welcome to Spookshow only to be totally confused at first when the story started from what happened to Billie and how she recieved her gift. It was like the author wrote the first book and decided Hey this would make a great series and proceeded to start at the beginning. Book 3 mentions the Murder House a few times but nothing real specific. This is where book 1 fits in it describes the plot of the Murder House and book 4 takes up directly after. Aside from the reading order this is a great paranormal series with Billie her 3 friends and a touch of romance with a local detective Ray Mockler. I am so hooked I already ordered books 5 through 8.
Terrific bargain for a box set. The writing is excellent, and the storytelling is top notch. If you enjoy a good ghost story, you will not be disappointed.
Tim McGregor is a genius in starting out in the middle of his tale and giving us a story you just can't put down. His main characters are so real, you think you may run into them on the local streets. When Billie starts seeing dead people after almost drowning, her friends react like most people, some believe her, some fear her, and some deny it is happening while a few want to believe her but can't get themselves to admit it. The plot takes you into a world of twists and turns with murder and mystery of how it will all fit together. I highly recommend this series.
The series is good. The order is strange. The first book is really the third in the story line, so I would suggest reading 2, then 3, then 1, then 4. I like the characters and the story line is interesting. The first 4 are not stand alone books, they are all one story. Give these a try, they're an easy and interesting read.
