About the Author

Sylvia Melanson taught English as a second language to native French speakers for many years. At times, she entertained her high school students with little stories and loved to invent "live" bedtime stories for her son when he was young.

Square-Eyed Raccoon, Home Sweet Home is her first book. Just like the lady in the story, Sylvia had a raccoon on her roof that was determined to get into her attic. The situation was kind of stressful while also funny, which inspired her to write a story through the eyes of the raccoon.

Sylvia lives in Québec, Canada, and is working on the next book in the Square-Eyed Raccoon series, Going Back Home!
