PreS-Gr 1One morning, a young dinosaur wakes up in the mood to have fun stomping and tromping over everything in his way. He starts by slamming the door on the cat's tail as he leaves home. Then he jumps in the pond and splashes the other animals. He frightens them with his jumping and pouncing, until he suddenly hears a loud "STOMP!" Someone much larger and louder than the little dinosaur has arrived on the scene to subdue himhis mother. With just a few words per page, the jaunty watercolor illustrations convey much of the story linethe dinosaur's glee in harassing the other animals, and his chagrin when Mother makes him stop. Children will identify with the little reptile's desire to feel "big" and important.
