A funny-but-touching tale about everything that can go wrong...and what makes it all right!

Tess Nelson is poised to take a well-deserved step up the corporate ladder when it's yanked out from under her. With no job and nothing to fill her days—just a nonrefundable ticket for a trip to Hawaii—Tess decides a tropical vacation is just what she needs. But Tess's journey to paradise is a disaster from the beginning. A sprained ankle at the airport is just the beginning. Then there's the lost contact lens and the lost luggage, the lightning storm at a luau, and the hotel fire. Not to mention the approaching hurricane. And the attractive, annoying young man who keeps crossing her path—and really shaking her up. All Tess wants to do is get her life back under control. But God, it seems, has something else in mind—like opening her heart to everything her life could be.

This one was a gem. Really different from other novels. A business women loses control of her life, and hates it. Flys to paradise, then finds out her bad luck is following her. She finds a man, but it's topsy-turvy. Hotel fires, hurricanes, weird old lady that's an ex-movie star, old dudes in spats. Funny! Humor's great. helps you learn to just let somethings go. Good read.

Stranded in Paradise written by Lori Copeland is an awesome story about real life situations. I would recommend this book to any young adults. This book left me wondering what was going to happened next. It was not predictable. The book starts out with a girl who seems to have this great job and life, and then something happens. The main character of this story is Tess Nelson. She lives in New York City and works for a big cooperation. This story is told in third person omission it makes the story more interesting this way. To start the story off Tess has her job taken away from her and was left with this non-refundable ticket to Hawaii. She decides that a vacation is just what she needs to get her mind off things. Then, as soon as she thinks everything is going good she sprains her ankle, she loses her contact and her luggage. After, she gets through that big mess, and she gets to her hotel and decides to just take a shower and go to bed. She hears this beeping noise. Then a nock at the door the beeping noise was a fire alarm the hotel kitchen had caught on fire and she is up all night. As you can see one bad thing after another keeps happening to poor little Tess. Stranded in Paradise, had lots of strong points. Lori Copeland used lots of similes and metaphors. She always painted a colorful picture for you. She used characters that were realistic. The conflicts were realistic the was a great example of the saying ¿Bad things happen to good people.¿ I think that the theme of this book was you have to learn not to let little problems in life get you down. Copeland also made this book funny too. Toward the end of the book Tess falls head over hills in love with this guy Jack. I didn¿t find any weak points in this story I think it was a great book. More people should read this book. I really enjoyed it and I couldn¿t put it down. It was a real ¿page-turner¿ I think this book Stranded in Paradise, will make you more aware that not everything always goes perfect. I think it will make you learn to deal with these inconveniences in a different way. This book would be one to take on vacation with you or to the beach because of the setting in Hawaii. I would rank this book an eight out of ten.
