By including subject matter not always expressed in poetry, the author means to inspire those who struggle- for whatever reason- and to give courage to those who would like to speak up and can't. She wants the reader to know it's okay to laugh, to cry, and to celebrate.

The topics handled are daily topics based on loss, love, hope, care and so on. The contemplative beauty of her words is powerful enough to influence readers and inspire them to be bolder and speak up. The poet encourages readers to read her poems and cry, laugh, and celebrate life. The poems flow beautifully, and the essays and the short story make this an exciting read. The poems have wonderful messages and the imagery in many of the poems is simple yet very effective. The rhythm, lyrical quality in the pieces, the starts and the strategic stops all add to the appeal of her style and make it worth reading. The author's keen eye is shown in the way she expresses the happenings around her and her precision of words and emotions. It's difficult to choose my favorite poem. They all strike a chord within the hearts of readers and the poet is able to connect with readers through her words. The poems draw readers in from the very start. I like the poet's idea of bringing out a book that includes a short story, some essays and poetry. That also makes the book original. The author's writings reiterate the power words can have on readers. A good collection - simple, elegant and refreshing.
