This book beautifully continued the Caine family expansion. I love the snippets we see in all their relationships. And to end with Jamie was perfect. Julia and Jamie’s story was wonderful! I can’t wait to see who gets bitten by the love bug next in Haven Point!

I was first introduced to the Haven Point Series when I read Snowfall on Haven Point. Since then I've managed to keep up with the series as it continues. Serenity Harbor solidified my love for this cozy romance series and I really didn't think the next story could top it, but Sugar Pine Trail came mighty close. It's something to do with the cute kids and pets with big personalities that keep me coming back! Sugar Pine Trail focuses on librarian Julia Winston who spent the last 10 years caring for her ailing parents and not truly living her life. When playboy pilot Jamie Caine rents out the upstairs apartment in her home, she has to fight not to become his next conquest. Lines are blurred as Jamie, who vowed not to get close to the uptight librarian, goes out of his way to help when Julia becomes the temporary foster parent of two boys in need. Joining together over the holiday season Julia and Jamie learn that despite the long, scary road to reach it, love is possible. Julia is a genuine, true-blue character that I can only dream of emulating. I loved this character for so many reasons but mostly because of how selfless she was when she pushed into the lives of Davy and Clint and helped them in a time of need. Her selflessness made her story that much more touching and the ending that much more bittersweet. Even Jamie's character struggled with a loss that shaped his actions and the course of their romance. I love how these stories emphasize family and kindness to strangers. Sugar Pine Trail was no exception as readers are pulled into the fold of the ever growing and loving Caine family. Out of the three Haven Point novels I've read to date, Sugar Pine Trail has the most heart. It's the perfect novel to cuddle up with during the cold winter months. *ARC provided in consideration for review*

Check out the full review at Kritters Ramblings The 7th in the Haven Point series and I was getting to a point where they were feeling a little repetitive, every other was a holiday themed and the other was during the summer and they were just feeling one after the other. BUT this one broke out of the mold for me, I loved the "potential" couple, I loved their story and just love. Julia Winston is the small town library and she loves her job. Jamie Caine needs a place to stay while the finishing touches happen on his condo, so Julia's house is the perfect place for a few weeks. Jamie is the pilot for the company Caine Tech and helps his brothers and families get all over the country/world to make deals and help the company grow.

Jamie Caine makes a wonderful hero in this Christmas themed story by Thayne. He rents a room in librarian Julia Winston's home. Sparks seem evident almost immediately, but then Julia discovers two young boys, left behind by their ailing mother and takes them in as a temporary foster situation. Those boys become a wonderful conduit between Jamie and Julia. The story really shines with the spirit of the holiday and love.

In Sugar Pine Trail by RaeAnne Thayne, we return to the wonderful town of Haven Point. Julia Winston is the sweet, sheltered, town librarian who longs for excitement and adventure. Jamie Caine is an adventurous, sexy pilot with a history of loving 'em and leaving 'em. Julia's and Jamie's lives collide when he rents a room in her house while his condo is being constructed.
Jamie longs to show Julia the more adventurous side of life. Julia longs to act on her deep attraction to Jamie. Jamie is surprised by the power of his feelings for Julia and the sweet domesticity she offers. Jamie happily takes on Julia's bucket list and the two adorable boys she is fostering. Julia offers Jamie a life he never knew he wanted.
RaeAnne Thayne masterfully creates sweet, romantic towns we all want to visit and complex, lovable characters we can all relate to and champion. I cannot recommend Sugar Pine Trail enough. Haven Point is a charming town full of wonderful characters you will want to visit again again! I can't wait for RaeAnne Thayne next sweet romance and another visit to Haven Point!

Unlikely hearts connect and make for an endearingly emotional read! They say opposites attract and anyone looking at them from the outside would definitely say this was Julia & Jamie, but beneath the surface they are more alike than anyone knows. They both have injured hearts that they have hidden away because they now doubt their own worth in the game of love. As two little boys tear into their lives, they find themselves connecting with the innocence of these children and the fact that they need them. The plot is well contrived, and an enjoyable read. We see many familiar faces and build on the magic that Haven Point is all about. Loved it! Librarian Julia Winston might have played along with a recent self-help book she read and made up a list of how she was going to change her life this year, but she never expects the changes to start happening so fast! She finds herself suddenly entrusted to care for two little boys who could use her nurturing heart to protect them in their time of need. They just so happen to bond with her new upstairs tenant as well ... sexy pilot Jamie Caine! Jamie might have the reputation as a player, but he's got a deeper soul than that. He has a past that makes him keep himself casual with everything around him. He focuses on the job that he loves and his boisterous family, and he's content with that. When he finds himself entrenched into a little make-believe family with his landlord and her adorable little charges, he finds he quite likes it and might want to keep her in his life for real!

This is the next book in the Lake Haven series. It is a bridge between Haven Point and Hope's Crossing but each of the books can be a stand alone. This story revolves around local librarian Julia Winston and one of the Caine brothers, Jamie. Julia is living in the too big house her recently deceased parents left her. Her only roommates are her mother's three disdainful cats. Jamie is the lead pilot for the Caine Tech company jet fleet. He is purchasing a condo but he has given up his rental and the condo is not quite ready. Julia has agreed to rent the upper floor of the large house to him for the six weeks until his condo is ready. On Jamie's first night in Haven Point Julia is hostess to her book club's discussion on a book about “filling your well”. The book club leader for the evening asks each member to make a list of things that would make her happy. Julia grudgingly makes out the list with items off the top of her head. Things like making a difference in someone's life, flying in an airplane as well as several others. It is nearly Thanksgiving when Julia notices two little boys in the library at closing time several days running. The weather was nasty and Julia offered them a ride home. The older of the two boys hesitantly accepted. When she went in to meet their mother, Julia found the house to be cold and dark. The boys admitted that she was not answering her phone and had been gone a few days. Julia called her friend, Wyn Emmett, a family services counselor. The boys were placed in temporary foster care but Wyn was not able to find a family that could take both of the brothers. Julia decided to step up and offer to foster the boys. She finds herself at a loss as to how to raise two little boys. Luckily, Jamie comes from a large family and has helped to take care of his many nieces and nephews. With Jamie's help, Julia is able to help these two adorable little boys as she, herself grows and becomes more confident. Will the boys have a Merry Christmas with Julia or will they be missing their mom too much? It was a wonderful story of people helping people

RaeAnne Thayne has done it again. Sugar Pine Trail is a great book with a heartwarming story about strength and love. This emotionally charged story will keep you reading page after page. This story is about Julia, Jamie, the two adorable boys she finds and some very moody and funny cats. All of this combined makes for a fun and loving story. It is so sweet how Julia and Jamie both love and care for the two adorable boys that are in desperate need of lots of love and kindness during the Christmas season. This is a very touching story. You really must read this book to understand all the emotions. I loved seeing all the folks in Haven Point and Hope’s Crossing. I am looking forward to more great stories from Haven Point.

This is a lovely holiday story that takes us back to the small town of Haven Point. In this latest entry in the Haven Point series author RaeAnne Thayne revisits several familiar characters we'll recognize from her previous books. Librarian Julia Winston ends up renting part of her large house to pilot Jamie Caine against her better judgement. This unlikely pair find themselves drawn together and soon falling in love. Julia also takes in two young, abandoned brothers over the holidays. Both Jamie and Julia endeavor to make sure they have a wonderful Christmas while becoming closer themselves. Julia's normally quiet life is rapidly changing, and for the better! This story if full of heart as are all of RaeAnne Thayne's books. You'll definitely enjoy this one

You can never go wrong with a RaeAnne Thayne book, especially if you love reading small town romance. Ms Thayne's books are always full of emotions and always teaches us about love. Julia and Jamie are an unexpected couple. But love is never expected and when they are thrown together because of circumstances, they discover each other's endearing qualities and fall in love. Their story is sweet, beautiful and romantic and I really loved reading it.

Julia Winston’s friend, Eliza Caine, asked if she would rent her upstairs apartment to her brother-in-law, Jaime Caine. It’s only temporary Eliza said. Until his new condo would be finished. It works for both of them as he needs a place to stay and she could use the money. Why is she so nervous about this handsome man? Jamie feel certain that Julia doesn’t like him, which just makes him more eager for his condo to be finished. Julia, the town librarian, had to ask two young boys to leave at closing time. They said they had a ride but she sees them walking as she drives down the street. Jaime begins to see another side to her after hearing her book club friends one evening. Maybe she’s not just a prim and proper librarian The two young boys from the library, Davy and Clinton, are back again. Davy, the younger of the two, makes a statement about having a peanut butter sandwich when he has to go home. This disturbs Julia. There’s a lot more to their story. They did reveal their father died while in the army and a mother who is too sick to work. Social workers cannot locate their mother and tells Julia The boys are likely to be separated and placed in different foster homes. Julia asks if she could take the boys. Will it be approved? Will the boys mother be found and will she be well enough to take care of them? How will this affect any potential relationship between Julia and Jaime? Jaime takes Julia up in his airplane and teaches her to ski and does lots of other things with her and the boys. Does he just feel sorry for her she wonders? Has she fallen in love with him? Are his feelings for her really pity or something much more real......

How could Julia not fall in love with those two, sweet little boys. And Jamie too. When she decided to help the brothers, she had no idea how her life would change. After a rocky start, Julia and the boys became very close. Jamie helped with that too. He was so good with the boys. After growing up in a house with so many boys, he understands them perfectly. Will she be just another conquest for Jamie or can there be something lasting between them? She knows that she will only have the boys for a short time, but how long will Jamie stick around? Great story!

Sugar Pine Trail is RaeAnne Thayne’s latest installment in her Haven Point series. It is a stand-alone book, but it revisits many of the people from her earlier books. RaeAnne is a master at creating stories with charm and depth, set around small towns and friendly people. Her characters are authentic and engaging. The settings are so vividly drawn that I can see them clearly in my mind. I loved Jamie and Julia’s story. They seemed to be polar opposites, but their chemistry worked well together. It was delightful to see them work together to give some Christmas joy to two little boys. This is a great story to get you in the mood for the Christmas season. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from the author/publisher/NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

First, I loved Sugar Pine Trail. I always enjoy a visit to Haven Point and every time I read a new one by RaeAnne Thayne, it becomes my favorite. Sugar Pine Trail is no different. As with all the other Haven Point books, this is a standalone novel but we get to visit with past characters – and some of them ARE characters! – and I always love reading about them, too. This time we get to read Julia Winston’s and Jamie Caine’s story. Both of them have backstories, of course, but they have much to work through, by themselves and of course, together. It’s their journeys that make this book so special. Both Julia and Jamie are wonderful characters and I found myself rooting for them individually and as a couple. And the two young boys that stay with Julia for the holidays? OMG, they will melt your heart! Julia is so vulnerable, typically quiet and shy. Jamie, for all his “sexy” bravado and man-about-town attitude, is just as vulnerable, in his own way. Julia’s list is hilarious, as is Jamie helping her fulfill everything on it, even if she doesn’t know he’s seen it. I really enjoyed this story and it will warm your heart, make you sniffle, and smile, all the way through. Highly recommend!

A fantastic book with an emotionally charged story that kept me turning page after page.I really enjoyed both of these characters and the growth as people they both experienced. Julia is the quiet, reserved librarian who is ready for something new in her life. Living alone in a huge house just isn't working anymore. She has no idea how much her life will change this holiday season. First she rents her upstairs apartment to carefree Jamie Caine. Then she finds herself the temporary care provider for two young brothers. Things are definitely picking up around the old house these days! I highly recommend this one!

I loved this new addition to this Haven Point, Idaho series which is about librarian, Julia Winston, and lead pilot for Caine Tech, Jamie Caine. With flights back and forth to Hope’s Crossing, Colorado, the Caine characters from both series mesh! It does hold its own and can be read as a standalone. Abandoned, Clinton, age 8 and Davy, age 6 grabbed my heart from the beginning. I shed many a tear, both in heartbreak and in joy. Love, strength, courage, and hope make this another wonderful book to read. As one that takes place during the Christmas season, it is another warm and caring story with top notch writing by this author.
