Vampires have always been at the bottom of the paranormal totem pole for me, but I just may be a convert after reading these novellas. Amanda's vampires are seriously sexy and I can't get enough! Greene does a great job crafting these paranormal tales. Her stories suck you in quickly and hold onto you until they are over. She excels in storytelling and adding great details into her scenes. I have very much enjoyed spending time in this world where vampire assassins lurk in the shadows to eliminate any possible danger. Surrender to the Chase was even better than A Bewitching Christmas. It's everything you could want in a paranormal novella. Well written, sexy as sin, with some romance and action. It's a quick read, but was a satisfying story. I loved Ethan and the time we spent getting to know his past and what was in his head. I always enjoy stories where a bad, tough guy falls in love and Ethan and Fraya had amazing chemistry. It was refreshing to see that the female character was the one possessive over her male instead of it always being the other way around. I also enjoyed that the story featured several types of paranormal creatures. I am looking forward to reading more from Amanda!

Review: I adore reading Paranormal Romances. There simply is just not enough time for all the books I love but I snuck this one in! Surrender to the Chase is a novella where Ethan, a Vampire and assassin by profession, is given a mission to hunt down and return Freya, an extremely rare purebred Werewolf. The individual she is to be returned to is her Father, the Alpha who wants to arrange to marry her off to multiple suitors. Not a nice guy when he should be the best of example and above reproach. Of course as things developed during Ethan's hunt for Freya, they met and found that they had things in common including that Lynn was an enemy to them both. Of course they had even more in common when they found they were mates. *grin* But, even though it about broke my heart, Ethan needs to let Freya go. Ms. Greene is quite the little story teller. She had my rapt attention the entire time and before I knew it, the book was over. :( Luckily I haven't read the first one! The pace of the story was just right, not too fast or too slow. I felt she gave the characters the perfect complexity for a novella and I fell easily for Freya and Ethan as a couple. She provided a good amount of conflict as well to keep the story authentic. Without it we would start thinking they lived in Fantasyland. And yes, there was even the right amount of sex. Amanda just got it all right and I think I have a new favorite author. Cool huh? Now there were some unanswered questions which lead me to think that our author is not done (hopefully not by a long shot) with the Under Realm Assassins. Let us hope not. I do look forward to seeing them all again and I most certainly would recommend this book to all Paranormal Romance lovers over 18. 5 Stars it is! Rating: 5 Stars - A Must Read Heat: 3/5 - Blush Worthy I received this book in exchange for my honest and open minded review. No further compensation was received.

Surrender to the Chase (Under Realm Assassins #2) by Amanda J. Greene 4 ½ of 5 Stars Assassin, Ethan Halstead, is back to work a year after the death of his friend. His first assignment is to return a runaway werewolf, Fraya, to her pack. Surrender to the Chase was an exciting and fast-paced novella that had me entranced. I enjoyed Ethan’s character. He blames himself for his friend’s death even though he is not at fault. He is good at his job, which is no wonder with as long as the vampire has lived. He is courageous, clever, and protective. Freya is a great character. I cannot blame her for leaving her pack. Her father/Alpha is twisted. Her ex-boyfriend, Ferguson, is also a piece of work. She has not had luck with meeting an honorable man until Ethan. Being a rare female wolf she was guarded and not really allowed to lead a fulfilling life. I felt bad for her situation and was glad she ran away. She is strong and caring. Ferguson is a cunning and cruel adversary. He is easy to dislike and makes an excellent bad-guy. I enjoyed Amanda J. Greene’s writing style and plot. The entire story had a great flow and was interesting from beginning to end. This novella is a fast read packed with content and excitement. Surrender to the Chase is an excellent addition to the Under Realm Assassins Series. Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

This one is short, sweet, and to the point.  And what a point that is!  Greene has created a fast paced, hot, and racy novella that readers can easily enjoy in a couple of hours.  Her supernatural characters come to live in a vivid manner that really allow you to get to know them, as well as get into the series.   Readers get to know a lot more about the Under Ream & the Syndicate here.  It comes in tidbits & snipits throughout, rather than bombarding the readers.   This was a well written & thought out novella that I enjoyed reading.  It was a quick & steamy read that can be read as a standalone or as part of the Under Realm series.   Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
