Overview

Susannah Warden is trapped in a life she doesn't want. She quit college, put her life on hold to care for her terminally ill mother, made a deathbed promise to look after her father, took over her mother's dress shop, and got herself engaged to an eligible bachelor. None of these actions reflect what she wants to do with her life. Guilt drives her as she tries to fit the mold her mother created for her.
When archeologist, Dr. Perry Elliston, arrives in Tassanoxie to survey a possible historical Indian site, he reminds Susannah of the future she wanted before her mother died. Perry recognizes Susannah as the mysterious student who haunted his archeology classes and his dreams several years ago. Now she's back in his life, but engaged to marry another man.
Will Susannah free herself from the bonds of her deathbed promise for the chance at love?

About the Author

Award-winning author Ginger Hanson writes contemporary and historical romance novels, as well as mostly humorous essays and short stories. Her contemporary romance series is set in the fictional town of Tassanoxie, AL, a small town full of second chances. Fall in love with the town and its characters in Feather's Last Dance, Ellie's Song, “A Christmas Diamond for Merry,” “The Courtship of Serena Smith,” and “Love to the Rescue.”

Enjoy historical adventure romance? Try Lady Runaway, Ginger's venture into the Regency era and her third historical romance. Two Civil War adventure romances lurk on her backlist and will be coming to digital format soon. While her historical romances tend to be sensual and action-packed, her sweet romances feature the lives and loves of everyday people.

In 2013 Ginger launched Saderra Publishing, a micro publishing company dedicated to bringing her stories to e-readers everywhere. Saderra Publishing's first release was A Dash of Ginger, Sassy Southern Essays, a collection of humorous essays. In her nonfiction past, she also worked as a "clean up" writer and copyeditor of FAA handbooks.
