Holy hotness! This was a great book that warms your heart, especially when it comes to love at the right time. I've been waiting for Drake and Serena to come together so this book was a pleasurable story. I really wish I could live in Bayside - the friendships are great, the guys are gentlemen, and the ladies are welcoming. A pleasing read for your next 'sick' day at the beach!

I always walk away from a Ms.Cole book wishing I could be part of the world she has created. You can't help but to want these characters to be your friends. Drake and Serena have that perfect friend to lovers romance. They have a great friendship that is an even better foundation to start their romance. They each believed friendship was their only option but with a little push in the form a new job they finally have the hope that they could have everything they ever wanted. I love the drive Drake has to get what he wants...Serena. This book was a perfect sweet with heat read for a hot summer day.

I was really looking forward to this one because friends to lovers is one of my favorite troupes. I just loved Serena and Drake together. They have so much history going back to their childhood. That's what brings so much to the book for me. They know the little things about one another no one else really sees. You can feel the deep connection Drake and Serena have. It pours off the pages. Drake that guy has so many swoon worthy moments when it comes to Serena. That was one of my favorite parts of the book. A thing I love about this series is the group of friends. I always look forward to the parts when they get together. Makes me wish I was part of the group. Not everything is going to go smoothly for Serena and Drake because they finally reveal their feelings new chapters of their lives are starting. The balancing act is going to to test their burgeoning relationship, but do they have the kind connection that can weather the storm? I would recommend this one. The flow of the book is great and had me gobble it up right to the end. Plus the characters are what truly make this book and series for me.

You can read this as a stand alone, but you will want to read each book in the series to get the full enjoyment of the friendship dynamics and insider comments. These are siblings and friends (who are probably even close than siblings) and a vacation type setting, where we all know some of the rules can be relaxed and emotions run hotter. Serena and Drake have been in each others' lives forever. At first, the younger Serena had a crush on her brother's friend Drake. As she matured, both emotionally and physically, the power shifted. Drake noticed her more and more. When the guys decided to set up a resort and needed help, Serena was there in a heartbeat. Now four years have passed and Serena is the one to have an opportunity too good to pass up. But can Drake let her go? He's been the great friend and loving coworker, supportive of Serena's dreams believing he always had time to show her how he really feels about her. Never intentioning to hurt her in any way. Addison Cole/Melissa Foster is a genius when it comes to creating characters and relationships. Even reading this book I begin to envision spin offs I want to read! Her Seaside Summers series is fun and flirty. This Bayside series brings more edge, hotter steam. Bayside pushes the limits of a clean read without sacrificing great love stories.

I loved this story! Sweet Heat at Bayside was a sweet story of learning to let love into your life and the beauty of timing and life coming together when you least expect it. The love between Serena and Drake that has been budding over the years was pushed aside by both of them up until now. It turns out their timing just might end up being perfect for them take the incredible foundation of friendship and turn it into something even more important and wonderful. Serena: stubborn, sassy, sexy and sweet, with a bit of a problem with authority and a strong desire to prove herself and be successful, all of the things her mother never was. Drake on the other hand is sexy and stubborn and also incredibly selfless to the point where he denied his feelings for Serena because he didn’t want to hold her back from pursuing her dreams and achieving success out in the world. Serena and Drake have been by one another’s side for years but only as very close friends. As evident in this story, a strong everlasting friendship truly is one of the best foundations for lasting love. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next story!

In this third book of the Sweet with Heat: Bayside Summers Series we meet Drake and Serena. After four years of working together, Serena is offered a different job. It’s until this happens that Drake realizes he just can’t let Serena go. Their friendship is perfect and throughout the book you can see that a relationship between them would be perfect too. However everytime you think it’s going to happen…it doesn’t. That waiting is what what made me not be able to put this book down. I love how when it finally happens it’s super adorable! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next book! This is a great book and even though it’s the third book you don’t have to have read the other books to understand what’s going on. But trust me…you will want to.

Serena has been given the opportunity to leave her small town home and live in Boston and work as an interior designer, her dream career. She hates the idea of leaving her job, friends, and family, and most of all, her partner in crime Drake behind, but this is the career she has wanted. It is clear to everyone that Drake isn't happy that Serena is leaving. Whether it's because of their work together or his hidden feelings is not always clear. Drake has so control it's frustrating. The number of times that you just want a guy to not be practical and give in to his emotions for you. This great could be romance is littered with almost moments of weakness, sexual tension, fun, and arguments, but will it work out for the possible Drake and Serena couple? You'll read this novel and see some of yourself in Drake and Serena, regardless of whether you're male or female. Or maybe it was just me. A great read, but prepare to do some internal (or external) shouting at this pair. Disclosure: At my request, I have received an advance copy of this book for review purposes. I am not being financially compensated for this post, all opinions expressed are my own honest opinion.

This friends-to-lovers romance about Drake and Serena was absolutely fantastic! They’ve appeared to just be friends, but it’s been painfully obvious that they secretly felt otherwise. Addison Cole built such incredible romantic tension between these two as the day approached for Serena to move away and when they finally “connected,” it was well worth the wait. Regarding Drake, once he admitted his true feelings I feel that he did everything about as right as he could. He was patient, understanding, and handled disappoint well when her new job interfered with their plans. He went above and beyond to stay connected despite the distance and was so romantic I wanted to eat him up! I completely respected Serena’s desire to make her own life and career, despite being away from Drake. But I must admit that she frustrated me to death, several times, as she struggled with her tense relationship with her new boss, missing Drake and her friends, and vowing not to run after a man like her mother. Don’t get me wrong, I love her character and loved this book but I just wanted to smack some sense into her several times! In addition to Drake and Serena’s love story, Cole also allows the reader to reconnect with the other wonderful characters, catching up with their relationships and lives. And I’m beyond excited that my favorite character in the series, Violet, will soon be getting her own book! This series is so packed full of love, friendship, and steamy scenes that it is completely addictive. Sweet Heat at Bayside is yet another example of Cole’s uncanny ability to entertain and connect with her readers unlike any other that I have read. Highly recommend this novel, as well as, the entire series! I promise that you will be addicted before you finish the first page and if you are not already an Addison Cole fan (for some strange reason), you will be after this!

Sweet Heat at Bayside is the third book in the Bayside series by Addison Cole. This book was a wonderful love story about two longtime friends, Serena and Drake. Their friendship began when they were kids playing among the sand dunes along the bay of Cape Cod. As they got older, Serena realized her feelings for Drake was more than that of a friend. By the time they were adults and in their chosen careers, hanging out with Drake was becoming more difficult because of her feelings for him. However all that Serena knew was that Drake had her in the friend zone and likely she would stay there forever. Unknown to Serena is that Drake has been battling an emotional war in his mind. He loves Serena, but doesn't want to show it because she is preparing to move to Boston to begin the job of her dreams. Right before Serena is to leave, emotions heat up between Serena and Drake. Although Drake tried to keep himself at arm's length, he knew this was his last chance to let Serena know that he loved her. What follows is an incredible love story that takes you from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Boston, Massachusetts, where historical places are visited, a donut shop Kanes Donuts, becomes Serena's go to for treats and a special donut is created just for the lovebirds! As Addison's books are known for, there is heat with all the sweet. Her story's characters have their ups and downs, flaws and insecurities. All the things that make a well balanced tale with realistic characters. I loved Serena and Drake and highly recommend Sweet Heat at Bayside. If you are ever in the Boston or Saugus, Massachusetts area, check out Kane's Donuts!

Sweet Heat at Bayside by Addison Cole is an interesting and entertaining. Romantic love story that has laughter, tears, frustration, long distance relationships and romance. While, book 3 in the "Sweet with Heat: Bayside Summers" series, it can be read as a stand alone, flirty, set in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. This is Serena and Drake's story of childhood friends to best friends to lovers.A sweet story with some heat. Well written and well excuted.  The characters are well developed and charming.  The storyline is unpredictable,  sweet, and romantic. Do long distance relationships ever work? Find out of Serena and Drake can make it work.  A heartwarming love story! I look forward to the next installment in this entertaining series. Addison Cole is a pen name for Melissa Foster. The books Addison writes are not as hot as the ones Melissa writes. This is the first time I have read the Melissa book and then right after it the Addison book. I found this a difficult thing to do because I kept comparing the two books. Both books, though, are wonderful. I love the settings of the Sweet with Heat: Bayside Summers series. Cape Cod was a favorite place of mine as a child, even though I only went there once. I loved the short vacation we took there. While reading about the Cape, I am always transported back to that time in my life. Would star crossed lovers be the right way to characterize Serena and Drake? I'm not sure but you know there love each other when they are constantly putting the other first as opposed to taking what they really want. When you back up your feelings like that, when the plug finally comes out, fireworks are going to fly. The big question is what do Serena and Drake do with the fireworks? We should all have friends like Serena and Drake in our lives. I'm sure we all do but it is truly like coming home when I read one of this series. Pick up a copy of Sweet Heat at Bayside and join Serena and Drake on this ride of friendship and love. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Hidden, friendship to lover stories have a way of working their way into a special place in my heart. Drake has been in love with Serena for years but he has such a respect for her that he’s never let on that he has such deep feelings. There’s nothing like a deadline to losing the one you love to push you off the edge of the cliff you’ve been dangling over. The only downfall – Drake is content with his life and where he’s at in all aspects. Serena sees the potential for more in her life. It has the potential to make them phenomenal or could completely tear them apart. Both commit to making this work (after all, they have wasted YEARS on avoiding this!) by way of a long-distance relationship. Good intentions and hard work prove to be only a small piece of the path to a successful relationship. I loved being able to see the story from both points of view. It made me feel more connected to both characters. I felt every desire and twinge of pain as these two took on what seems to be a journey that may not fair well in the end. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Sweet Heat at Bayside is the perfect book about love, friendship, and family. Never is there a doubt that these Bayside friends and family will protect, love, and help you with whatever you need. Most of the time you do not even need to ask, they just do it and instinctively know what is needed at any given time, even if it is to leave a person alone to figure things out themselves. The heat part of the story is my favorite. Addison Cole writes a clean and steamy story. She leaves some of the story to the readers imagination but leads them right to the edge before letting them go. While this is part of a series it can be read easily as a stand-alone story. Each book is its own complete story with the characters from other books just checking in to let the reader know what is going on with them. The past characters are just as fun to read about as the characters that the book is actually focused it. You learn about babies, weddings, and anything else that is happening. Sweet Heat at Bayside tells the story of Drake and Serena. They have been friends since childhood, best friends for many years, and have worked together for 4 years. Circling each other, feeling the heat between them, but never acting on it is how their relationship has been. The timing just never seemed right to move their relationship to the next level. Yet, with Serena moving to Boston for a new job it is time for Drake to let his feelings out and oh was it wonderful. There was no easing into it, no doubt of feelings, and no going slow. Drake just jumped right in, took what he wanted and Serena loved every minute of it. As I am a big Addison Cole fan, I thought I knew what to expect. She managed to surprise me with how much control Drake kept when it came to pushing Serena in their relationship. He could have asked her to stay, asked her to move back, and Serena probably would have but he respected her so much that he never did. He let her spread her wings, find her way, and supported her with each step. Pick up this book and the rest of Addison’s books. They are sweet with heat. They have amazing friendships and wonderful relationships.

Serena has just been given the opportunity of a lifetime and for Serena , her dream job. For the last four years she has worked in Wellfleet Massachusetts along side Drake Savage . A man she'd hoped would make a move but hasn't from the day they started working together. Now it's time to move on and that's packing up and moving to Boston for senior role at a firm in the city. Everyone is excited for her and things are looking up for her future. Nothing will stop her from finally fulfilling her dream, but an unexpected twist in fate may have already changed things forever. At her farewell party Drake tells her how's he's felt all those years and she's left with a sizzling heat that she can't ignore and the sinking feeling that she may lose all she's worked so hard for.  Drake Savage was set to be the good guy, keep his hands to himself, his feelings to himself and work as professionally as he could. It was a daily challenge around Serena . His promise to keep it all to himself though are being tossed out the window when she takes a job in Boston. He can't let her leave without her knowing what's he's felt for her , but at the same time he knows there's a bigger thing they may face . A long distance relationship. He's not sure he's ready for it, yet he's not ready to lose Serena. Taking a dive into the unknown is one thing, putting your heart on the line is another.  While there is no shortage of passion or heat between Drake and Serena it will take a lot more than steamy kisses and late nights to keep them together. Will Drake and Serena be able to find happiness together? Or will the distance be too difficult for either of them to over come?  You'll have to pick up a copy of Sweet Heat at Bayside to find out!  This was a great book, the third installment to the Sweet with Heat series by Addison Cole ( Melissa Foster) . The characters are very well written as always, very down to earth . I loved reading how both Drake and Serena grew throughout the book. They kept their feelings hidden to themselves not wanting to disrupt the other's lives, and then it was sweet how they both shocked either other about how they felt all along. From that moment on the both of them don't hold back and quite possibly that could make or break them. You'll have to find out what happens yourself!

I think my favorite book so far by Addison Cole is Sweet Heat at Bayside. The love story is so well written with an involved story about Drake and Serena. They have loved each other from childhood but from afar. Now as adults they must learn how to deal with loving from afar again as Serena takes a new job in the city and Drake is left at the Cape. The way they work through their issues reminded me of dealing with the same thing when my boyfriend was sent to a foreign country. How does one deal with a long distance romance? Addison Cole has written a moving and insightful story about this. To make this book even better the author has used my name as one of the characters. I’m sure she had no idea but it was a fun surprise.

This is the third book in the Bayside Summers series (Sweet with Heat) and it is as fabulous as the first 2 were! However, it is a stand alone and it does that! But the books are so good, why wouldn’t you read the first two as well? Drake and Serena were introduced in book 2, but you’ll see their special connection on full display in this book. The two grew up together and are best friends. But both are soooo attracted to the other, each trying desperately to hide it so the other can live the life they want. Serena has helped Drake and his brother plan and open several music stores and now, this store opening will be her last. She has taken a job in Boston at a large design firm to help her further her dreams and to get away from her crush and perhaps start a new life. All of the Bayside crew are happy for her, well at least supportive of her decision, although they will miss her. Drake, however, is peeved. He understands her desire to make it on her own, but he doesn’t think he can survive without her! Drake manages to hold it together until her last night at Bayside. He finally tells Serena how he feels for her and she can’t believe that NOW they are in synch! But she is moving to Boston! And so they have to navigate a long distance relationship as well as the pressures of each of their jobs. Of course, both work extra hard at making their friendship turned lovers work for them. I really loved Serena and the way she fought for what she believed either in her relationships or in her job with clients and her manager. Drake is swoon-worthy! Once he decides Serena is his girl, he goes out of his way to make his time with her special. Together, they are perfect! And the cookies and donuts! How can you not love a book with lots of special cookies and donuts!? I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Bayside sounds like a great place to live. Finally we get Serena and Drake's story! Drake is so stubborn he almost lets the best thing in his life go! Serena finds the big city is not all she expected. The characters are as well drawn as ever and very believable. The plot sucked me in from page one! Another enjoyable time at Bayside.

Drake and Serena's friendship was absolutely adorable, and every time they wouldn't let their feelings get in the way I was like "oh come on now tell each other!" but nope Addison left us waiting. I loved it though! When they finally do tell each other it was the cutest thing ever. I'm always up for a good love story and Addison never disappoints. So, if you haven't already you definitely need to give her stories a shot!

I swear every book I read by Addison Cole gets better and better. I freaking loved both Drake and Serena. I loved how he called her "Supergirl." I loved the honesty between the two, even if it was not what the other wanted to hear. If you like best friends to lovers, then you will surely live this one. Drake and Serena make a great team. They are surrounded by their friends and families, who make their lives full and fun. A couple of extra characters were added to this story, who only enriched their community more. And the special things Drake and Serena do for each other is totally heartwarming and swoonworthy. I totally loved their story! I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

We've met Drake and Serena before in the other two books in this series and it's always been obvious they are attracted to each other. They are usually paired up when the Bayside Gang gets together but you wonder if they are really a couple or if Drake is just protective of Serena because they've grown up together and she is his sister's best friend. Serena works for Drake, his brother Rick and their friend Dean but her dream has always been to work at a large firm in the city and make a name for herself. Drake on the other hand has no plans to leave the Cape, but he doesn't want to admit his feelings for her and hold her back when her big chance comes. Seeing how they come together to work through their fears and become a couple will keep you turning pages to see what happens next. This series has a wonderful cast of characters that will make you laugh and touch your heart! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

SWEET HEAT AT BAYSIDE by Addison Cole. Well, Ms. Cole keeps blowing me away with these heartwarming tales that are sweet but still burn with heat. Serena and Drake - could two people be more perfect for each other and not know it? I adored both of these characters and was cheering and rooting for them all the way. Friends to lovers isn't always my favorite trope but reading Ms. Cole's style and story, it never even entered my mind that it's not a fave. She has a way of taking the reader and pulling them in. She tugs at the heartstrings and makes us swoon, cry and laugh. I've said it before and I'll say it again, don't miss out on this one, or any of Ms. Cole's wonderful tales. I loved going back to Bayside. I do enjoy good series. Going back to the same setting with familiar characters makes me enjoy the story even more. In this story, we learn the history of Serena and Drake. The other stories have hinted at a chemistry between the two and now we find out why. Drake is such a likeable guy, though I don't know many guys who would have put someone else's feelings ahead of their own for so long. Serena is admirable for her goals and her persistence in achieving them. I was thrilled when Drake finally couldn't restrain his feelings any longer. I did want to slap him for waiting so long! =) I do like that the characters don't immediately act rashly and work through their issues together. Overall, the book was a lot of fun and was a satisfying happy ever after. I look forward to the next visit to Bayside. It's like going home for a reunion! I received an advance copy for an honest review.

Sweet Heat at Bayside is another brilliant story about two people who have known each other for a long time and finally take the next step in their relationship. Serena and Drake have known each other for years and have had the connection, but circumstances waylaid any plans to actually become a couple. This book really hit home because of the way Drake acted. There are so many times in relationships (both romantic and nonromantic) where one person acts or does not act based on what they think is best for the other person. Reality is that people are constantly growing and changing - and dreams shift as plans are altered. Drake finally realizes this as Serena is leaving Bayside and acts on his feelings. The way the two of them complement each other and have the others best interest in mind amazes me and makes me hopeful. I cannot wait for the next Sweet with Heat Bayside book!

I have a sweet story from Addison Cole that you will absolutely love. This author is the alter sweet ego of Melissa Foster which everyone knows I absolutely adore her. It was nice to read a sweeter version of her books that have no explicit sex scenes just nice romance story that leaves you with that awe how cute I love them type of feeling. This book is about Serena and Drake and I loved it! Serena and Drake have a special unique relationship. They’ve known each other forever. As a kid Serena always dreamed about being Drake’s girl. She’s been through a lot in life because of her mom but she was always determined to make her own way and fortune without the help of anyone. All her career dreams are finally coming true but a big wrench is thrown into it when her other dream finally comes true too. Drake wants her! Drake is a strong caring man who does for others before himself. He is a successful business owner and loves his family. He has protected Serena since she was little knowing everything she has gone through. She has always been the object of his forbidden desire. He loves her but can’t hold her back. He wants her to have everything her heart desires but now she’s finally getting her dream job and leaving them all behind. Can he just let her leave without knowing how he feels? Well, you will have to read it to find out! Addison gives you love, humor and amazing romance scenes that make you all swoony. It is definitely an amazing story and you will absolutely adore this cute couple. I love that her series are read alone books but also give you bits of updates on previous book couples if you have read them. I definitely recommend this book! Get yours today!

So worth the wait! I was looking forward for Drake and Serena to get together since I first met them in a previous book. The conflicted feelings, the want, the way they stretch the thin line between friendship and lover, the sexual tension and all the innuendos. When Drake gives in finally and kiss Serena, I was hanging in there; I could feel all the anticipation, the restlessness and I just couldn`t stop reading from there on! Serena and Drake have secretly loved each other since their youth but never crossed the friendship zone nor ever confided their feelings towards each other. Drake always puts Serena, her needs and her dreams ahead of his own. Serena always dreamt that one day Drake would reciprocate her feelings but when her dream job is taking her away, it`s time or never to either let go or to hold on.
