The Fred Bimm trilogy is a hoot. A very original take on the traditional mermaid. Funny and sarcastic. Too bad about no more books in the series, but the story stands well as a trilogy; no need to sequalize it infinitely. Maybe we'll see Fred in a few short stories. Not a serious read, but fun and entertaining.

Cute follow-up to the first book. In this instance Fred heads off to the Cayman Islands for a conference of mermaids trying to decide if they want to go public with their existence. Fred has to decide if she wants Thomas or Prince Artur.

Sequel to Sleeping with the Fishes. I was a bit surprised at the state of Thomas' and Fred's relationship at the start of the book. The ending was somewhat pessimistic and open-ended. But the story was enjoyable, and had a few laugh-out-loud moments. Great quick read--exactly what I expect from MJ.
