If you are a fan of the series "Sword Art Online" then I strongly recommend the fans to read the light novel series because it goes more depth in the story plot itself, the concept of the game world, Kirito and Asuna's thought process, and it also explains more on the hatred for the beaters from Kirito's perspective. Sword Art Online Progressive is an alternative story line of the first arc in Aincrad. I simply fell in love with it and enjoyed it. I can't wait to read more on the Progressive series. As I read through the chapters I could visually see Kirito and Asuna from the anime coming to life, in action, dancing off the pages as I read the light novel.

FYI this is the Light Novel (Mainly text with some images) This is how Sword Art Online should have been. This series is essentially a reboot of the original arc with the plan to go through all 100 floors. Each book will cover 2-3 floors each with the only major difference I can find being that Kirito meets Asuna way earlier. It's been a great read and does a good job of fleshing out previously minor characters like Argo the Rat. As always Yen press did a good job translating this. Didn't find any engrish.
