Amanda Wright was raised on the wrong side of the tracks and was always looked down on in Marietta. When her parents got into financial problems, she helped them out and almost lost her salon. One of her favorite customers, Bette Justice, gave her a loan which she paid back. Bette is in her 80s and her grandson, Tyler, wants her to come and live with him in Austin, Texas. He also wants to check out this young woman who appears to be taking advantage of her financially. He sneaks into town a few days earlier than his grandmother expects and heads to the salon to check her out. What he finds is surprising. A young, attractive, friendly and sincere woman who gives an excellent haircut. Meanwhile, Bette is hoping to play matchmaker with her grandson and the girl who she has come to think of as her granddaughter. Things do not go smoothly. Amanda has a lot of feelings from her youth about her inferiority and whether she is worthy of a wealthy suitor. When Bette shares other information about the past, she reacts like a wounded animal and goes into hiding. Can she -overcome the feelings she has about her self-worth and what she perceives others think of her? Will Tyler understand how Bette feels about Marietta and stop trying to get her to leave? Will he realize that Marietta is a great town to live in? A sweet romance that has its bumps along the way. I love visiting the town of Marietta, Montana in the various series and stories that take place here. Anyone who enjoys a sweet romance will love this story and the other two in this series. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Book 3 in Miracle on Chance Avenue series. All are stand alone books. Amanda Wright is the middle Wright sister and has a successful salon. She has always been very independent and strives to prove she was better than her past. Tyler Justice shows up to make sure that no one is taking advantage of his grandmother and to try and convince her to move to his house. Bette, is Tyler's grandmother and she is absolutely delightful secondary character. Tyler and Amanda butt heads as they work through misunderstandings regarding Bette. Bette is known as a matchmaker around town and seems to be trying to work her magic on Amanda and Tyler, in spite of telling them that she was not. I enjoyed this newest story in the series and look forward to the next one. If you like a fairly quick read that has fun characters, with a strong heroine and a hero with a soft spot for his gram, you will love this story!

Take a Chance on Me was a sweet romance and a quick read that I enjoyed. This was a welcome visit to the beautiful town of Marietta, Montana with fun and interesting characters you hope get their HEA. Amanda is a strong, independent woman who has worked hard to get beyond her family’s poor background. She knows who she is and where she wants to be, but she is still vulnerable to past insecurities. Tyler is driven, but he is devoted to his Grandmother. He has lived enough to know what he doesn’t want to do with his life and what he does want to do can be done anywhere. When he finally listens to his Grandmother, he realizes there is more to life than the games he designs. I love Bette and how she ties them together.

This is the 3rd book in the Miracle on Chance Avenue series, taking place in Marietta, Montana. Amanda (Mandy) and Ty meet when Ty heads back to Marietta to check on his grandmother, Bette, who has been talking about her friend, "Mandy" along with business partnerships and changing her will. Ty, a software gaming tycoon, is initially an arrogant know it all who jumps to protect his grandmother, but Mandy, a hair stylist who owns her own business, is more than up to the challenge of bringing him down a few notches. Mandy is battling a life time of feeling inferior - from a childhood of being told she was inferior because her family was poor - and she has to learn to trust the new guy whose grandmother is her cherished customer, friend and mentor. Ty and Mandy reconcile the past and learn more about their families as they learn about each other and work towards their happy ever after. I really loved this story. Everything and everyone felt real, nothing felt contrived. Even when Ty is a know-it-all and Mandy is busy keeping him at arms length, I still loved them both and rooted for them. And Grandma Bette is a jewel. Mandy and Ty's story also made me want to go back and reread the first two books of the series and refresh my memory on their journeys. All the Marietta characters are here as Jane Porter adds to the rich tapestry of this fictional town. Fans of small town contemporary romances, Jane Porter fans, and Marietta, Montana fans will all enjoy this.

Worried about his grandma, Bette, Ty uses a little bit of subterfuge when fishing for information. Mandy has nothing to hide, and she calls him on his tactics--they both want what's best for Bette. The more time they spend together, it's harder to fight the attraction. But, Ty lives in Texas, and Mandy has no intention of leaving town. But things change--Ty might move to town. First, Ty must learn to trust and Mandy has to learn it's okay to take help--it's not a handout. If these two can find a way to each other's hearts, they'll make the perfect couple! Wonderful romance! I highly recommend.

Jane is a master story teller who can use words to transport me into a town and the lives of her characters. Take a Chance on Me is the third in A Love on Chance Avenue series, however, the first for me. I am addicted to the Sheenan boys and now have new stories to add! Amanda and Tyler’s story had me tearfully smiling and anxiously turning the pages. A must read!

I really enjoyed this new book by Jane Porter. One of the main characters (Amanda “Mandy”) was instantly likeable for her kindness, humor, strength and loyalty. Her dear friend Bette was a hoot and very likable too. You could see why those 2 characters got along so well and were close friends. The other main character, Tyler, starts out as a bit of a jerk because he’s trying to set a trap for Mandy and in a way for his grandmother Bette, but fortunately he sees the errors of his ways and turns out to be a likable guy after all. I really enjoy these books set in Marietta, Montana and the way all of the stories have developed with so many different characters.

Take a Chance on Me (Miracle on Chance Avenue Book 3) by Jane Porter. This is Amanda “Mandy” Wright and Tyler Justice’s story. I loved Tyler and Mandy’s story. This was a sweet and heartwarming read. I fell in love Tyler and Mandy’s characters. Tyler’s Grandmother, Bette, was a great addition to the story. Bette has been known to play matchmaker. Mandy is suspicious when Bette wants her to show her grandson, Tyler, how great a place that Marietta is to live. Bette says that she is not playing matchmaker or is she? Take a Chance on Me is a wonderful read to escape from everyday life. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter This book starts out with Ty James and he has Amanda Wright styling his hair at her salon. She falls in love with his masculine looks (she and her sister Charity are romance novel addicts). Later Bette stops in with lunch before her weekly visit and she learns now who Tyler really is-Bette's grandson. She is able to track him down at The Graff Hotel and lets him know she doesn't like the deception of arriving early and not letting his grandmother know he's in town. He's a game developer and he learns his grandmother wanted Amanda to show him around town to show how much she loved this area and she's busy in the community. Love catching up with other characters in the town of Marietta, MT as I've read all the books and other author's works from this area. Ty is really there because his grandmother wants to change her will to leave everything to Amanda and he just wants to check her out-make sure she's not being taken advantage of. Ty has to leave due to the tech giant talks but his mind is still on Amanda and Marietta. Love the idea of the birthday club and what's all involved-prescious! Like how this book brings it all together full circle with other books and families in the series. Other works and excerpts from the series are included. Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion. #TakeAChanceOnMe #NetGalley

Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter is book 3 in the "Miracle on Chance Avenue" series. I just love stories set in the fictional town of Marietta in Montana and this is no exception. Amanda Wright is a Stylist in small town Marietta Montana. Growing up not having much she is determined to prove herself as a successful business woman. Her longtime friend and client Bette Justice has always been her biggest fan and client. When Bette mentions changing her will to include Amanda to her Grandson Tyler he drops everything to travel to Montana to see whats going on. When Tyler lands himself a haircut with Amanda he starts to see who she is but still doesn't trust her motives. I loved this book from beginning to end! It really got into the story without rushing and leaving me with questions. Amanda's character was so vulnerable and likable.

I enjoyed Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter. I liked her characters. They are strong yet vulnerable. Amanda Wright is an independent woman. She loves her small town life and the people who live here. Her friendship with Bette Justice is heartwarming. I loved that age isn't a factor between friends. Even though her grandson takes exception with their relationship. When Bette asks her to make her grandson love Marietta, Amanda is skeptical. These two have immediate chemistry, but they still butt heads. Will their past issues keep them from future happiness? Marietta is my happy place. I love visiting this town. The people are likeable and willing to open their hearts to others. The romance was sweet and tender. It made me sigh. This author writes characters that I can connect with. They are filled with emotion and passion. I love romance. I never miss a story by Jane Porter. She knows how to write a story filled with passion, love and a HEA.

3.5 Stars! I never pass up an opportunity to read a book by Jane Porter. In fact, I don't even read the book's summary prior to requesting or purchasing. Her stories are replete with tangible feelings, three-dimensional characters, and an entertaining plot. Take A Chance is the third book from her Love On Chance series, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. The first two books in this series are also very good. Hair salon owner and stylist Amanda Wright grew up quite poor, in the small town of Marietta, Montana. With the exception of the gossip mongers, Mandy is well-liked, talented and a huge community supporter. Bette is one of her best friends, even though she is a feisty eighty year old grandmother. Bette is the perpetual matchmaker, so when her grandson Tyler comes to town, she wastes no time in getting them together. Tyler Justice is a good-looking but nerdy billionaire. His riches come from gaming and now that he sold his company, he is at a crossroads in his life. He loves his grandmother very much and only wants whats best for her. He is not a fan of small towns, but being involved with Mandy slowly changes his mind. I liked this book, however I found the pace to be slow at times. The main characters were well-defined and I enjoyed getting to know them. The plot twist at the end was quite exciting, which resulted in cementing Mandy and Tyler's relationship. Overall, a solid read. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

This was a wonderfully sweet story. Amanda is a fiercely independent (and stubborn) woman who owns her own salon. She is determined to work hard to prove herself after growing up in a family that never had enough money. Tyler is very successful, but is concerned about how attached his grandmother, Bette, is to Amanda and is afraid Amanda is taking advantage of her so he goes to Marietta to check on the situation. I loved all of the characters in this story. It was very touching and although there were ups and downs, every one of the characters was deeply caring. I loved everything about this story.

Take a Chance on Me is written by Jane Porter. It is Miracle on Chance Avenue Book 3. It is the story of Amanda and Tyler. Amanda is very sensible, smart and kind. She is a hair stylist who loves the town she lives in. She loves her job, her hair salon and her clients. She has plans for her future, and is just waiting to be able to make them come true. Bette is the one person in town that is not only her favorite client, but someone she cares for deeply. Tyler is very successful and handsome. He is a game designer tech living in Austin, Texas. He has been trying to convince his grandmother to move with him to Texas. He doesn't understand the fight Bette is putting up wanting to stay in the small town of Marietta. He wants her where he can take care of her easier, afraid that her years have made her a bit more delicate. Bette asks Amanda for help in convincing Tyler that it is best for her to stay at her home in Marietta. Amanda has no choice but to help Bette. Tyler has doubt about Amanda's love for his grandmother. He is afraid that she is taking care of his grandmother's generosity. When he gets to Marietta, he is determined to find out the truth about Amanda and put her in her place. He doesn't know what to do when he realizes that Amanda really does care for Bette, and isn't the person he thought she was. He also doesn't know what to do when Amanda starts to pull at his heart strings. Neither Tyler or Amanda are looking for a relationship. When they start to form a strong connection, a family secret from long ago might destroy their chance at love. I really enjoyed Tyler and Amanda's story. It was a sweet, small town romance with a hidden family secret. I like how Tyler and Amanda each had goals for their life and weren't afraid to pursue them. Loved a few lines from the book: "There is no such thing as too much love" and :"You don't reach 80 without having some game".

Love! Love! Love! I loved reading Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter, the third book in her Love on Chance Avenue series. Amanda Wright loves living in Marietta and being friends with her client eighty-year old Bette Justice. Bette asked her to help convince her grandson, Tyler, that staying in Marietta is the right place for her and Amanda can’t say no. Tyler Justice, a successful game designer, is determined to take care of his grandmother and believes the young friend she keeps mentioning, Amanda, is taking advantage of Bette and her generosity. Once Tyler reaches Marietta he finds Amanda isn’t who or what he thought and unexpectedly becomes attracted to her. Unfortunately a long-buried family secret might destroy their chance at love. I really loved reading this book and didn’t want to put this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Porter is a wonderful story teller and she always draws me into her books, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Quirky little salon in Marietta, Montana houses one of the most prize possessions that Betty's son could ever find Funny thing is when Ty came to town had no idea he was even looking for a treasure at all. My favorite fictional town is back this time author Jane Porter brings is a bit of a mystery mixed in with a wonderful romance. It is no secret if you read my reviews you know I love this fun town in Montana and this book did not disappoint me at all. It did answer some questions I had about one of my favorite characters in Marietta, Betty Justice. But this story is more about her son Tyler and Amanda or Mandy the lovely Salon owner. Funny thing is folks can understand when an older person and a younger person are friends. Someone always has to be "wanting something from the situation" right? Well, right but not right.... maybe. This book is well written and easy to read. It had me back in my adopted hometown as soon as I started reading and and there were so many fun things in this book that had me finding myself wanting to do in my own home... like add a splash of pink. (Read an see why.) Come for a visit and see if you can spot the blue door.

A delightful heart warming romance in my favorite town of Marietta. Amanda, stylist has worked hard for everything she has in her life. She loves her town of Marietta and her clients. Her favorite client is Bette, 80 years young. Bette needs her help to convince her grandson, Tyler that Marietta is the place that Bette wants to place. When Tyler arrives in Marietta, he stops for a hair cut at the salon and things do not go well. As a the story develops, with Bette meddling into the romance of Amanda and Tyler secrets come out of their past families. Soon Tyler might decide find out why everyone loves Marietta. I think my new favorite color is pink! I highly recommend this story.

I loved this book. “Take A Chance On Me” is book three in Jane Porter's Love On Chance Avenue series. It was a sweet story about family, love and friendship. It takes place in the small town of Marietta, Montana. You get the dynamics of small town living, neighbor helping neighbor, friends becoming closer than family and obviously your town gossips. The love and concern that Tyler showed for his grandmother Bette was heart warming. The special friendship that Bette and Amanda had formed was very special. I would have to say Bette was quit the character. She knew that Tyler and Amanda were perfect for each other and she was determined to get them together, no matter what the cost. My favorite characters and the one I could relate to most was the two Wright sisters, Amanda and Charity. I enjoyed “Take A Chance On Me” so much I need to go back and read the stories I missed. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tule Publishing through NetGalley, Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Take A Chance On Me by Jane Porter Savvy stylist Amanda Wright loves Marietta, her hair salon, and her clients, and no client is more dear to her heart then eighty year old Bette Justice–even if her years have made her a little fragile. So when Bette asks Amanda to help her convince her determined grandson, Tyler, a successful game designer, that Marietta is the right home for Bette, Amanda can’t say no Tyler Justice has a one-track mind–he wants to take care of his beloved grandmother. He can’t understand her resistance to move to Texas and is sure that the young friend she keeps mentioning–Amanda–is taking advantage of his grandmother’s generosity. He reaches Marietta determined to put the salon owner in her place and bring his grandmother home…until smart, kind Amanda starts to tug at his heart in ways he never expected. But just as Tyler and Amanda start to form a real connection, will a long buried family secret destroy their chance at love ? this is Amanda Wright and Tyler Justice’s story. Savvy stylist Amanda Wright loves Marietta, her hair salon, and her clients, and no client is more dear to her heart then eighty year old Bette Justice. It wasn’t often that she had a stranger in her chair at The Wright Salon, much less a thirty-something-year-old male, that also happened to be impossibly handsome, as in the handsome of Hollywood hunk or romance cover hero. Amanda find out Tyler is Bette's grandson. Tyler James Justice had expected Amanda Wright to be polished and stylish—she did hair for a living, after all—but he hadn’t expected her to be quite so pretty. Tyler Justice has a one-track mind–he wants to take care of his beloved grandmother. He can’t understand her resistance to move to Texas. “You said you were here for business,” Amanda said, changing the subject. “You must be in the ranching business then.” “No. I’m in tech.” “I design Computer games.” I highly recommend reading. I am looking forward to reading more books by Jane Porter. Take A Chance On Me by Jane Porter is a wonderful well written 5 star book. "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book." This was a sweet small town romance that warmed my heart and left me smiling. The plot is simple but fun and I loved these characters especially Bette Justice, Ty's well meaning meddling Grandma. Maybe it's her name ;) ! Amanda is a hometown Marietta girl and happy with her choice stay right there. She loves the life she's built. It hasn't always been easy considering where she came from but she's put the past behind her and right now life is good. Tyler Justice comes to Marietta to try and convince his stubborn Grandmother to move with him to Austin. He's convinced she's being taken advantage of and he won't have it! Once he meets and gets to know Amanda he realizes he's got it all wrong. This was a great relaxing read that I'd definitely recommend to everyone.

When Tyler Justice caught wind of his grandmother's plan to leave an inheritance to a young woman in her town, he knew he had to get to Marietta, Montana fast. But what Tyler found, instead of a conniving gold digger, was a sweet hard working lady who considered his grandmother, Bette, to be one of her best friends. Amanda Wright was a beauty salon owner with big dreams. When a handsome guy comes in for a cut one day, she instantly becomes friends with him not knowing he is really Bette's son who plans to get her to move to Texas with him. Amanda is devastated when she finds out the truth. Bette had a plan of her own and she had already set it into motion. She is thrilled when she finds out Amanda and Tyler finally started dating. But, a secret from the past soon threatens their new relationship. Now it's up to Bette and Amanda's family to get Amanda to realize Tyler is the perfect man for her. This is a heartwarming story that will remind you of the power of love and family and that not all secrets are bad. I really enjoyed this story. The characters felt real with their goals, values and opinions. If you like a sweet small town romance, I would recommend this book. My favorite quote: We all have faults. And for your information, I never expected you to be perfect.

When Tyler comes to Mandy’s hair salon for a cut she has no idea he is her friends grandson she just knows she is attracted to him, and I was not, took me a while to figure out what his grandma Bette was up to, but that was just part of the of the fun of this delicious read. My wish is for this endearing love story to be made into a movie, with a fabulous older actress to play Bette and for the movie to have a feel good ending like the book, it left me feeling in the Pink all day! I would love the movie to show the town of Marietta and Tyler and Mandy’s first kiss, first dance.
