In this novel, Michael Jackson lives in Dreary, Alabama, but he misses his elementary school friends from Oklahoma. He organizes a reunion party so everyone can meet up and be together again. While in OK, many strange and confusing things begin to unfold, and Michael is confused between reality and what isn't really happening. So, I finished this and went back and forth with what to rate this because there were things I really liked, some I thought were okay, and some I'm just still confused on. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the book and I was definitely "thrilled". As usual, Bryant A Loney's writing was absolutely fantastic! He really just has a way with words that sucks you in. It did take a bit at the beginning before anything was really happening, and while I understand that was necessary for us to get to know Michael, I was just waiting for something to happen. When the action really started though... I. COULD. NOT. PUT. THIS. DOWN!!!! WOW! I was Oh my goodness what is even happening?! WHAT IS REAL? I loved the twists and turns and how you really don't know a lot of things until the ending. The characters all had special things about them that made each of them stand out in their own way. THE DIVERSITY IN THIS NOVEL IS AMAZING. It was effortlessly added, and I truly appreciated that. It was like a true group of friends. Also, there is many subtle arguments and conversations in this that really highlighted "real world issues", and I think the way they were added was so unique. I love psychological thrillers, and this one does not disappoint!
