Griffen and Aubrey are both business minded people. Until they are in a room together, then that is the last thing they are thinking about. This story begins with Griffen and Aubrey coming together for the second time in more ways than one. Griffen’s take-over of Cutting Edge to get to Aubrey has more to do with her than she realizes. This read has more than a few heated moments and while not my favorite by Dani Collins, I did enjoy the story and characters.

When Griffen Woodlock acquired the company Aubrey Hargrave worked at the first time they stayed apart for as long as they could, only to end up lovers. When Aubrey catches him kissing another woman she leaves him and his company. Aubrey goes to work at a start up company with her half brother that no one knows about. When griffin finds out he is convinced they are seeing one another and is determined to acquire that company as well. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down after i started it. It will not leave you disappointed. Aubrey and Griffin are interesting characters with completely different backgrounds but it worked for me.

While this isn't one of my favs it did have it's good points as well, so I'll just throw my opinions out there and let you decide. The good - it's well written, definitely has strong characters, great pace. It's a quick easy read that's perfect for a lazy afternoon. My issues - I just couldn't warm up to the characters. I thought Griffen was arrogant and unkind. Aubrey seemed to be a woman who wanted to be tough but couldn't quite pull it off. They just didn't seem to make a good couple to me. Again my issues only!

"Taken by the Raider" by Dani Collins is Aubrey Hargrave and Griffen Woodlock's story. The story starts off in the middle of Aubrey and Griffen's relationship. They had more than a working relationship, but had split up. Griffen couldn't forget Aubrey. What means will he go to in order to get her back in his life? Aubrey and Griffen come from two very different backgrounds. They have an intense sexual relationship. Is it just sex or is there more to their relationship? I enjoyed the story, but it was a little hard to stay focused. The author did a good joy of where the reader could feel the emotional struggles that Audrey and Griffen both were experiencing. I guess we all in many different ways allow things from our past to prevent us from taking a chance on something in order to protect ourselves. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.

Taken by the Raider is a fast paced, steamy read that will have you wanting to know what Griffen will do next. The tension and chemistry between Aubrey and Griffen won't let you put down Dani Collins' latest. I couldn't help but feel on pins waiting for the secrets to come to light. The match between alpha Griffen and strong Aubrey will have you rooting for them. I loved that Collins delivers strong characters for her readers.

How far will a ruthless businessman go to be with the woman he desires? Aubrey Hargrave and Griffen Woodlock had a professional and personal relationship until Aubrey decided to leave him and go to work for Cutting Edge. Griffen will do anything to get Aubrey back, even taking over the company Aubrey has invested a lot of time into. Once he has her back, he will have his way with her once again. When Griffen discovers the family secret that Aubrey has been hiding, he has more leverage to get her to do as he wishes. How far will it go before Aubrey decides enough is enough and walks out for good? Will Griffen be able to get Aubrey back this time? There was a lot of tension between Aubrey and Griffen and through a lot of the book I got where I didn't like Griffen. But he redeemed himself in the end when he told Aubrey his family secrets and why he was so persistent in all areas of his life. Great writing and a lot of steamy intimate scenes kept this book interesting.

I enjoyed this short Bad boy story that had a lot of emotion in it. Griffen is a ruthless business man who is after acquiring all that he can. Aubrey is a business woman who likes to be in charge and enjoys pushing Griffen's buttons. They make a combustible couple inside and outside the office. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
