Dorothy Callahan does it again as her storyline entwines two strangers that are brought together under difficult circumstances and find love. As in all of Dorothy Callahan's books, animals are front and center in the storyline. In Taming the Stallion, she does not disappoint by introducing the reader to the elite world of thoroughbreds. The death of several equines brings together the hero and the heroine. They are at odds, the heroine is investigating the deaths and believes the hero is looking to collect insurance money; while he struggles to understand his own helplessness and why the investigation isn't focused on finding the culprit and bringing the deaths to a stop. I strongly recommend any of Dorothy Callahan's book. Why? First, she's an outstanding and gifted author whose characters are strong, relatable, interesting, and intelligent. Second, Ms. Callahan participate's in the Read and Rescue movement. This is a group compromised of published authors who have pledged a portion of books proceeds to animal rescues, while also highlighting the need for foster parents and forever homes for the numerous and well deserving pets waiting in shelters.

This story had three things that i loved. Animals, an indepentant woman, and a heart melting heartthrob! The main character had a interesting back story and  her love interest is irresistible! Together they make a great team and a story with a twist!

I thought it had a very good story line. It was well written and at times I could not put it down. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to more from this author.
