Got this book as a free read by joining the mailing list. It was an excellent read and I can't wait until I read the next book.

I think I need to move to Seagrass so I can sample Ashley and Patty's culinary offerings! Ryan, Dizzy and Ashley are detecting again. I love these characters. There are way too many suspects when everyone hated the murder victim. I enjoyed Ashley's hunt for the killer.

Ashley Adams is catering the CURE fundraiser event at the Seagrass Country Club. While setting up, she meets Ryan's Uncle Charlie and also sees Mr. Green, who is Charlie's golf partner for the day. Ashley is also concerned about her partner, Patty LaFontaine, who has been very distracted and uncommunicative lately. A little later, Uncle Charlie comes back into the club house. He is falling down drunk and talking about some emergency. When Mr. Green is found dead on the golf course, Uncle Charlie is the prime suspect. As Ashley and Ryan investigate the murder and talk with people who knew Green, they find he was not well liked. There also seems to be funds missing from the CURE account. As they continue their investigation, they uncover additional suspects, but things continue to look worse for Uncle Charlie. Is Patty mad at Ashley for some reason? Is she unhappy with Ashley's sleuthing? Can Ashley and Ryan prove Uncle Charlie's innocence and find the real killer? This is a well-written and fast paced book with interesting situations and characters. There are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing clear to the end.

This book didn't work for me. The first problem was that everyone spoke perfect and proper English. The characters also shared the same good manners. The second problem was that it focused mainly on food leaving the actual story as an after thought. The suspense was light and when the big scene played out there wasn't enough action or suspense to make me want to care. The story didn't grab my attention and pull me into it. I was disappointed.
