Overview

Tennessee Bride by Rosanne Bittner

"Extraordinary...Bittner's characters spring to life." —PUBLISHERS WEEKLY

Raised in the hills of Tennessee, Emma Simms dreams of the day she'll escape her life of poverty to start over in the excitement of Knoxville. But when her mother dies and she's left with no one but her stepfather, Luke Simms, her dream abruptly becomes a nightmare. Luke plans to send Emma to Knoxville alright—straight to a notorious brothel.

River Joe, the mysterious Cherokee-raised frontiersman, knew from the first time he set eyes on the beautiful Emma that he had to have her as his own. And one glimpse at the handsome, buckskin-clad stranger ignites the flame of dangerous desire in Emma's heart.

Their passion could consume them both, but their love could very well save her life.

The story line was great but the dialoge repeted a lot. And the love scene in the begining had elments of date rape , I was really botherd by that so I stopped reading half way through but read the last page and it ended about how I excpected it to . For me it was just not worth it

I have read two books by this author. She has never ceased to give me a wonderful reading experience. Loved the story and the characters. The love scenes were a little graphic for me, but i truly enjoyed this book.

Every bit as good as I thought it would be. The complete book was a "you must read every page of it right now, without stopping." Absolutely super.

Rosanne Bittner is a gifted writer. Her characters are drawn large. Her stories have twist and turns. They are grittier then your average historical romance. Like most romance books you'll get your HEA--but not until the heroine has been thrown under the proverbial bus. At least twice. This was very good. Liked her Wildest Dreams a smidge better.
