Overview

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn’s second book in the Getting Lucky series brings heart, humor, and heat back to Port Snow.

There are two little words every small-town man dreads:

She’s back.

Harper Sanders, the girl who was supposed to be my forever, has returned to Port Snow, Maine, for good—and she’s bringing back memories of our shared past.

We once had a bright future together, but when tragedy struck, I threw it all away and pushed her out of my life. People in our small town think I’m cursed, but I know better. I did it all to myself.

And now she’s creating a life of her own in the place where we first fell in love. I can’t fight my feelings for her—or the strong attraction that keeps pulling us together. But after all this time, can she forgive the past and fall in love with me all over again?

Everyone hopes to find that forever girl…I just hope I haven’t lost mine for good.

I love second chance at love stories, add in that it is set in a charming little town whose name I love, Port Snow, Maine and I am all set. What a great read this one was; I was captivated from the first chapter to the last and couldn’t put this book down. Harper Sanders is the woman who left town leaving Rogan Knightly behind, but now she’s back. Feelings will be re awakened, but the biggest question of all is whether Harper and Rogan can forgive the past and the pain it caused? Weaving both present day and the past together Meghan Quinn has given us the full story of young love and how it can become a forever love when fate gives you another chance. This was an emotional read at times and really tugged at my heartstrings, sad and yet beautiful, a story of love and hope. The chemistry between Rogan and Harper was scorching and intense. I loved the camaraderie between Rogan and his family and the mystery that is woven throughout this book. Of course it wouldn’t be a Meghan Quinn novel without humour and laughter and this just added to the overall enjoyment of the book. Rogan was such a charismatic hero that I couldn't help but fall for him. I loved how feisty and sassy Harper is; in fact I just loved everything about the characters and the story. That Forever Girl ticked all the boxes for me, it is a story of love, hope, forgiveness and was at times a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I cannot wait for the next release in the series.

First of all, let me get this out of my chest…. I never dreamed of having an harem until I met the the Knightly brothers HOLY MOLY!! I love them ALL!! “the Knightlys—they all carry this gene that makes it impossible for any of them to be unattractive.” The banter, the conversations between the brothers were epic but their text exchanges were LEGENDARY!! Tears were rolling down my cheeks because I was laughing so hard! “The Knightlys are meddlers; it’s one of my family’s most annoying traits.” Now let’s focus on Rogan and Harper, they are without a doubt one of my favourite couples written by Meghan Quinn- MY FOREVER COUPLE #MFC Their story snuck up on me and for that I’m FOREVER grateful. “Rogan and Harper, we’re a BOGO; if you buy one, you get one.” That Forever Girl was a seriously addictive slow burn romance. It just really hit the spot for me. Great characters, slow burn romance, funny and heart-breaking interactions, and when the heat finally hits, it's delightful. “I like to believe that some people hold the beat of another human’s heart in theirs, and they spend their entire lives searching for the owner.” Harper and Rogan were meant to be, until faith changed everything, changed their forever. Years later, Harper is back living with her dad. She was always known as Rogan’s girl so, to have become the one that got away, is an emotional title to carry. Harper is a strong woman who tries hard to protect herself from being vulnerable again. Her past has changed her and affected her in so many ways but the memories she has with Rogan, their secret spots where they used to meet and love each other … all of these are forever etched in her memory. Same faith for Rogan… Rogan is a new man. A man who is cursed, a man who is successful, determine and wealthy but alone… incapable to move on from “ MFG” “No one who has ever loved another person, and I mean truly loved them, can just be friends. It’s not possible, because no matter what, the breakup will always hang over their heads like a giant neon sign.” I LOVE HIM SO MUCH- I love his vulnerability, his insecurities and his alpha attitude. The story and its characters completely sucked me in and once I was there, I didn't want to leave. I'm perfectly connected with all of them. Meghan Quinn's writing style is flawless, so easy to read. My Forever Favourite Couple, I couldn’t admire these two people more! I loved their attitudes. They never let the past dictate their future. There were many memorable moments (flashbacks) that made me feel so overwhelmed with emotions. There will always be a special place in my heart for Harper and Rogan. I absolutely loved this book!

I loved, loved, loved this book! Out of all the Meghan Quinn books I have read, this one was absolutely phenomenal. I had butterflies and chills at 13%. You will definitely fall in love with Rogan from the very beginning. This book does go back and forth between the past and present, but it is vital to the unfolding of this love story. Quinn has you riding a roller-coaster of emotions as you are reading. That Forever Girl is definitely a Top 10 read for me! I was supplied an advanced reader copy of this novel by NetGalley and voluntarily submit this review.

Is there anything better than a friends-to-lovers, second chance romance with a small town and a mystery that spans decades? No. No there is not. Especially when it's written by Meghan Quinn. This book was breathtaking. Literally. Reading Rogan and Harper's romance, then and now, was so full of humor and joy and gut-wrenching sorrow. Every single page was a pleasure to read. And I absolutely adore small towns and their quirky, nosy, inhabitants. This book has everything and then some. I cannot wait to see which cursed Knightly meets his match next.

That Forever Girl is the second book in the Getting Lucky series. It can be read as a standalone, I missed the first book and I had no problem jumping into this one. This story is a does go back and forth from past to present, it's a second chance, cursed brothers, emotional, and for the most part I liked it. It took me a bit to warm up to the characters Rogan and Harper. For adults they reminded me of teenagers at times. I did find the banter between the Knightly family funny. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I received this book from Netgalley.

This is Harper and Rogan book, it’s book two in the getting lucky series. Harper returns to her small town of Port snow Maine , for good! She’s running from a past she wants to forget! But she has another past in her home town that she wishes her mind and heart could forget! She was engaged to her childhood sweetheart until a terrible accident tore them apart! Now she has to face her childhood best friend/ fiancé and try not to loose her heart all over again! Rogan and his brothers think they’re cursed, actually his whole home town believes it too! Now his ex fiancé is back in town , he had pushed her away after a freak accident. Rogan can’t fight the growing attraction to the woman he has loved his whole life! He’s also hoping to put this curse to rest and see if he can win back her heart! This book was very good! I think I liked the first book a little better but this one was still really really good!! I definitely recommend reading this book and the first in the series although they can be standalone but they are well worth the read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Oh, my heart! Gah, this was such an amazingly beautiful journey between these two. I don't know how many times I cried and laughed. It's very heartwarming. Harper and Rogan were best friends, that turned to lovers. They were addicted to each other and felt that no one else could ever come between them. But of course, words are thrown, and mistakes are made. That sent them in opposite directions. I truly felt Harper's emotions throughout this story, as well as Rogan's. How does Quinn do this? It's like she has this magic way of weaving a story. That not only takes them on a journey but also you as a reader. This is why I love reading — feeling as though you are part of the story with this whole town. I can't wait for #3. I don't even have to know what it's about. I love this town and these characters she's created. It's like The Notebook 2.0. Overall, of course, Five Boundless Stars

I really enjoyed Harper and Rogan’s story. Meghan Quinn’s writing never disappoints. This story has both funny and heart tugging moments. I always know that I will get a good story and I’m looking forward to the next story from her.

Cursed in love- That's the what the fortune teller says, maybe she is on to something, or it has something to do with the Knightly brothers destroying her personal property. Either way, Rogan Knightly is an excellent example of what not do to in a relationship. The one true love of his life Harper was on the receiving end of all that misfortune. Reunited after seven years- their town isn't big enough for both of them. Their road to healing is a battleground, with weapons of words drawn at the ready and a town willing to take sides. Yet, through the haze of guilt, sadness, anger, pain, and confusion- love, lust, and yearning for friendship still, remain. Will Rogan "nut up" and break the curse? Will Harper find her happy place and what she was meant to be? Holy buckets of emotional overload! Ms. Quinn rolled out a compelling story, one that not only gives you the present but a striking look into the past — grabbing me by the feels needing answers. I had to know what the Knightly clan would do next. In my humble opinion, a perfect slice of romance heaven! With its heavy heart, GREAT humor, well-defined characters, a twisted storyline that was not only a breath of fresh air but flowed well (even with the broad timeline) amped-up sexual tension and hotter than the sun scenes- it was an absolutely stellar read! I highly recommend this book for your reading pleasure! One-Click Material!

A second chance romance that will melt all the snow in Port Snow! Young love...these are stories that make my heart flutter. But not only is this a story about young love it's also a story about second chances. I loved how we got to go back in time to when it all began and as the story goes one we find out how and why their relationship ended. Then the story weaves in and out to present day to see how they get back together. It is an excellent way to incorporate the past and the present. I loved how the author incorporated a romance movie channel into the story because this is exactly the type of story you would see on a channel like that. It was perfect! It is definitely a feel good love story with several laugh out loud moments and but also several swoony moments as well! This is a must read story for all romance lovers!

I have to say this was a first time reading one of Meghan Quinn's book and I absolutely loved it. It was a great book. Harper is a woman that is trying to figure out what she wants to do in her life. It shows her weaknesses and her strong points. Rogan is a man that is trying to get by and forgiving his past. It is hard to do when his long time lover is back in town to stay. He tries to ignore her and that doesn't work. This book shows their friendship and relationship ups and downs. And seeing that they finally work through it was amazing. Highly recommend reading this book. I couldn't put it down. It had me smiling and also sad. Love this book.

They started out as best friends as kids then became a couple when they got older. After an accident Rogan pushed Harper away breaking her heart. Now that she's back in town to stay they need to learn to live near each other again. Overall this book was good, my biggest problem was that at times I felt this book was kind of slow. The upside, literal laugh out loud moments, it got my emotions all over the place and my favorite part was it took some serious groveling to get back in Harpers good graces.

This is the second book that I have read from Meghan Quinn. I have several books of hers on my TBR but I haven’t reached them yet. This is book 2 in the Getting Lucky series and they are standalones so you won’t miss anything if you don’t read the first book. This was the story of Rogan and Harper who were high school sweethearts until disaster strikes and he breaks up with her. She returns to Port Snow years later and it forces him to reevaluate his feelings for her. Can they work it out and rekindle their love that never really died? This is a second chance mixed with enemies to lovers’ romance with a side of heartache. You will get it all in this book. The chemistry between Rogan and Harper, even though he tried to fight it, was great and you can feel it coming off the pages. I really enjoyed this book. If you pick this up, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to read more of this series. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Well, book 2 in the Getting Lucky series by Meghan Quinn features the second eldest knightly brother, Rogan, and I think I’ve found my favourite brother. He is just wonderful, all sultry and sexy, whilst been sappy and loving. Admittedly, he is a jerk in the beginning, but when everything comes to light, I understood where he was coming from, I’m not saying he did the right thing, but, we all make mistakes This is a super addictive second chance romance, some scenes are emotional, a lot of scenes are funny, proper laugh out load moments with the sibling banter, in person and by text. So so funny. A wonderful story written so so well. Great characters. I just adore all the townsfolk. The town gossip is rife, and I do love small town stories. I can’t wait to see what book 3 brings us. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Ok I have to say that this is one of my favorite books by Meghan Quinn! I love her style so much! What a sweet, sexy, funny and heartwarming story. I laughed, I swooned, I cried! But in the end it left me with a big satisfied smile on my face, and that is why I read. Rogan and Harper are adorable! I honestly love everything about this story even the difficult things because that is what makes Rogan and Harper who they are now and I love both of their characters so much! I love the way the story goes back and forth to the younger Harper and Rogan and back to present day because it gives us so much revealing information about their characters and behavior. After the first book in this series I knew I would adore Rogan & Harper’s amazing second chance love story too. This is such an awesome series! I love this family and their group texts are hysterical!! I can’t wait for more Knightlys’ and breaking of “the curse”!!!

Lord, That Forever Girl by Meghan Quinn was just the perfect story for me!! Quinn seems to deliver just what I need right when I need it! Harper and Rogan have this second chance romance with a hate but really love thing going on. Harper had her heart broken and shredded by Rogan. I can't even tell you all how much I related to this storyline and to Harper. I met my first husband in 6th grade and we remained besties all through high school and then things changed to more romantic feelings. Things didn't work out for us, thankfully really. Anyway, I really was put off by Rogan at first. He was so aloft and cold. He made me angry. But that dual POV that flipped between past and present was what eventually won me over. I started to understand him. Rogan turns out to be a total heart-throb with words that hit me directly in the gut! Harper was just perfect. I found her to be strong and really, just radiant. She's a strong female lead and I just love when Meghan Quinn gives us women that are strong like this! I see the realness and the damage. It makes them seem so relatable! Meghan Quinn shocks me with every book she writes. I love the dual POV, it's a favorite for me, but the alternating past and present mixed with the multiple POVs should make it seem confusing. It isn't. The writing is the perfect Quinn flow all her readers expect. Post Snow feels like such a cute and quaint area. The way Quinn has created the area and the people in it make it truly feel like an adorable New England town. I don't think there's another author around that pulls me in like Meghan Quinn. She makes my heart smile and I'm always left with a content feeling. I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

4 1/2 "2nd chance" Stars! That Forever Girl was a great installment to the Getting Lucky series! I really liked the way Ms. Quinn went back and forth between the past and the present to let Rogan and Harper's story gradually unfold. It felt like a very natural way to share the information with the reader and had an easy flow. It also made it more heartbreaking at times to go from a chapter where they were young and happily in love to a chapter where they weren't even speaking. It really made the harshness of their current reality stand out. Let me just say....Meghan Quinn, you are killin' me with Rogan! Seriously, I love how you wrote him....so clever. He's the absolute man you can't help but dislike for his treatment of the girl through a good portion of the story but when all the pieces start coming together, you understand him better and can embrace his surly character a little more. Then when his secrets surface and you know what he's really been up to....be still my heart! By the end of the book, I was sold....all in...Team Rogan. Then there is our leading lady, Harper. She mysteriously appears back in Port Snow. Her reasons for moving back are unclear but it's evident that she is hiding something. It's also quite obvious that she's uncomfortable being around Rogan and that she has unrequited feelings where he's concerned. Rogan doesn't hide his displeasure that Harper is back in town either and initially tries to avoid interacting with her as much as possible. Unfortunately for both of them, everyone else in town has other plans and tries to throw them together as much as possible, especially Rogan's family. I think it's safe to say that I love the Knightly family. One of my favorite parts in the book is the texting banter between the brothers - - it's absolutely hilarious and when you throw their sister in there for good measure, it's even better. I'm totally hooked on Port Snow and this series! I can't wait to see who gets their story next! Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

***I generously received this ARC from NetGalley*** Have you ever read a book that you wanted to finish but not finish??? Well, this is definitely one of those!!! I absolutely love a second chance romance and Meghan Quinn nailed it!!! The group text messages between the Knightly siblings is to die for! I definitely recommend this book!!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. Harper is back in town and now has to deal with Rogan who brutally broke their engagement and her heart. Most of the beginning of the book, Rogan is just plain unlikable and hopefully that is what the author was going for but it really made it hard to want Harper back with him. I really liked the first book with Ren and Griffin and how could you not love the Knightley family with those crazy brothers and their sister, Jen! While I did like the HEA and that Harper and Rogan finally worked things out, I was not really that invested in their story at the beginning. Not sure if it was the constant flashbacks to their high school years or that Rogan was annoyingly nasty. Or maybe that it took so long to get to the flashback of their break up. In the end, it was good to see this family and town and can't wait for the next brother to "break" the curse when they finally grow up!

I loved the way this one began, had me laughing and immediately happy to be back with these four Knightly brothers. The way the author tells the story is so good. She doesn't let us know exactly all what the background was, just that they'd had a bad breakup. I also love the way we got to do the flashback chapters in this story, to see how their romance developed from their friendship. By doing that, we got to see how they went from so, so good and happy, to so sad and being in a bad place. The author totally took that bad bit that brought Rogan out of his football future in a different way than I would ever have expected. I really like how Quinn can keep me from reading exactly what you expect, she keeps it new and unique for each story. But I loved the characters as well as all the perfectness in the story. I could kind of figure out why Harper was back without her spelling it out. I like that she didn't want to let it define her and how people dealt with her though. That was also a new way to take that aspect of the story. And then there was the whole "forever girl" bit in the story, the love letters, the fact that Harper was really Rogan's forever girl, and the MFG detail too. I loved Rogan and Harper's story, but also getting to be around the Knightly family as well. While I thought I knew who some of the brothers might end up with, the author gave hints for different romantic interests and I can't wait for the next two brothers' stories, especially Brig, as he cracks me up so much!
