That's So Annoying: An Etiquette Expert on the World's Most Irritating Habits and What to Do About Them by Cynthia W Lett

Here are hundreds and hundreds of real people's most common complaints and the proper responses to them. Written by an eminent etiquette expert, it is a guide to how to behave well and, more importantly, how to respond to bad behavior. What are the right rules for the coffee machine at work? Why do husbands always drink from the milk carton? Why are so many retail clerks rude? This book answers all—and, more importantly, explains the proper responses to all the most common irritations. Whether you are the matriarch of an unruly family trying to keep order, or an office worker just trying to figure out how to deal with pushy or messy colleagues, this is a book for you. It's as funny as it is useful.

It depends what you are looking for. If you want serious research and scientifically proven methods this is not the book for you. If you want some great entertainment and not to feel like you are the only one that is driven crazy by irritating people, then this book is for you!

It is time to remember to treat our fellow men and women with respect, but it is easy to forget how to do that. While each of us gets a bit busy at times and therefore may make small errors in judgment, there are such simple ways to "mind our manners" and do the right thing at all times. With "That's So Annoying," Cynthia Lett helps the modern reader make contemporary choices and decisions about etiquette. Beyond the long lectures of the yesteryear advice writers, this book gets right to the heart of the various annoyances listed in this book. From the mundane (1 "hair pull") to the very annoying (4 "hair pulls"), you will learn the right way to handle almost any situation. You will be surprised, too, at the very practical ways that some situations should be handled.

That's So Annoying: An Etiquette Expert .. This is a great read mainly because it's so easy to read and relevant to People of all ages. I bought this as a mothers day present as well and my mom loved it! The information contained here should be passed to those growing up to enable them to have a start that is so lacking in todays youth! All in all I found it delightful, really funny and extremely inciteful And would not hesitate to recommend it especially if the lack of modern day etiquette bothers you! Well recommended *****
