"The Accident" is a short story about a young woman who had an incredible talent for volleyball. One day as part of conditioning she and her teammates were running up a very steep hill in Colorado. A driver hit her and mangled one of her teammates. She then lost everything she had worked for all of her life. He blamed the accident on the girls for not being dressed properly.
