Chapter OneWhere is my next travel spot? I would like to go to the western mountains and lakes of Maine.
Maine is a great place to visit. There are many cool lakes, ponds, streams, waterfalls, and wonderful wild creatures.
On the way to Maine we like to stop at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Artist Steven Huneck created this magical, fun place for dogs to frolic and people to enjoy!
The Dog Chapel is a tribute to our love for dogs, all their special gifts of love and joy they give to people and other animals.
Here I am in the chapel and art gallery.
We love Rangeley Maine. Look at this view of me scanning Rangeley Lake and swimming in its cool waters.
Rangeley Lake Resort is our favorite place to stay. I love sitting on the porch and sniffing that pine scented Maine air.
It's fun looking over the inside of our cabin. There are pine cone lamps, moose light switches, and bear towel racks. I especially love those "toy" birch canoes. They give me an idea for an adventure.
