The Attitude of Islam Towards Science and Philosophy

There is no dearth of literature available on Ibn Rushd (1126-1198 CE), popularly known in the west as Averroes. Much work is available on him and on his works also in various languages of the world. His important book Tahafut al-Tahafut has been translated by Simon Van Den Bergh, (printed at the University of the E.J.W.Gibb Memorial, Luzac & Co., 46 Great Russell Street, London, W.C.I, 1954.).
