About the Author

Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bears books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005 and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from his studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.

The Berenstain Bears' Easter Sunday by Mike Berenstain is an adorably cute book! I grew up with the Berenstain Bears so I love reading these books to my kids. I absolutely love all of the Berenstain books because they're all adorable and include wonderful messages. In The Berenstain Bears' Easter Sunday kids learn that Easter Sunday is much much more than just chocolate bunny's and bright colored Easter eggs. They learn the true meaning of Easter! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is fantastic. The Berenstain Bears' Easter Sunday is a wonderful book and would make the perfect gift for kids this Easter! Disclosure: I received product(s) for free, in exchange for my honest review. I only recommend products I've used personally, and believe will be good fit for consumers.

THE BERENSTAIN BEARS' EASTER SUNDAY is an adorable read. My youngest daughter is a huge fan of The Berenstain Bears and she couldn't wait to read this book. She said it was really good and she totally loved it. I liked how they empathized the real reason Christians celebrate Easter and worked in why people celebrate Easter bunnies and Easter eggs in addition and how they really are two different things. It was an explanation my youngest daughter understood and related to. I highly recommend this book - a good addition to your favorite child's Easter basket. Also good for homeschool libraries, Christian school libraries, Christian daycares, church libraries and more.

What a delight it was for me to read this colorful book about Easter! It opens with the Bear Family preparing to go to church on Easter Sunday morning. As they dress, the reason for choosing colorful clothing is given. Once in church, the organist plays while the bears join the congregation in singing a familiar Easter hymn. Preacher Brown delivers a sermon, which sums up the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. An innovative Easter treasure hunt is held after church; afterwards, it is compared to an egg hunt. The tradition of bunnies and candy is nicely covered. It's recommended for children Ages 4-8, but my children enjoyed sitting on my lap while I read to them at a much earlier age. The illustrative pages will be enjoyed by children of all ages. Thank you to Booklook and Zonderkidz for my copy.
