Frankly I'm mad. Six dollars for this book was so NOT worth it. Both H/h were extremely unlikeable. Constantly arguing and holding on to all the bitterness of the past. He pushed her away, accually broke up with her. She went away like he asked and BAM he's mad? And when they weren't arguing the story was boring. Way too much time devoted to knitting. I don't want to read about yarn. This felt like it was phoned in. Did Bella even write this? I'm perplexed by these 5 star reviews. @

Sarah and Calvin were in love at 18 but when Calvin lost his mother and father he had to take care of his baby sister. So Calvin's plans with Sarah and college had to change. Now ten years have passed and Sarah has returned for a work project. Will they be able to put all the hurt behind and learn from their mistakes. Bella has written another wonderful story. Filled with all types of emotions from small town, work, family business, family, friends and loving Calvin. Will they be able to take their second chance at love. A great read. joy943

This book had me so hooked from the first chapter, that I did not put it down until it was finished. It has just enough heat and raw emotion that you find yourself right there with the characters, being scared, wanting to run. First loves who get a chance to explain themselves and have a second chance . Bella is so talented , another great installment in the Sullivan series, but you could most definitely read this as a stand alone and not be "lost"!

The Best Is Yet To Come is the best start of a whole new world you can get! I love Bella Andre, she is such a gifted writer. The love for the Adirondack Mountains speaks to you through every word that is written. You are sitting by the lake, you can see the sparks on the water by day and the stars shining by night. You will want to knit your own special sweater. I became with every word I read a little bit more in love with Summer Lake, and with all the characters that took a spot into my heart. This spin-off serie is true addition to the Sullivan family. (Full review on Ebella.nl)

Best friends. High school sweethearts. Passionate lovers. Once upon a time...... welcome to the present and a new beginning for Calvin & Sarah. Visiting Summer Lake is a great way to escape for a few days. I read this book while we had no electricity for 2 days. I can picture the town and the carousel in my mind. I wish I could go there for a weekend. I can't wait to read more from these characters and get to know them even better. Bella Andre is one of my favorite authors and I am always excited to read something from her.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I am a big Bella Andre fan and I have read all her books. I am a BIG Sullivan fan and this story is the first in a series of books not about the Sullivans but rather the city the NY Sullivans live in called Summer Lake. Its star is Calvin, who is the mayor and who we have met in the NY Sullivan stories. I totally loved him and was excited to read his story and meet his heroine. The heroine is Sarah who left Calvin 10 years before and who is the daughter of the owner of the yarn store in town. This story has her romance but we also see her grandmother Olives love story from back in 1941. This book is tough to rate. One I did not really care about Olive's love story. IT is with a man that was not even Sarah's relative and its not even told to Sarah, its more done through memories and shown to show how significant a carousel is to the town. The second is that I could not understand Sarah's choices.I just kept thinking she was a fool. You see Sarah is in town for work. She wants to get rid of the carousel an build condos, which is why she cannot void Mayor Calvin and how they rekindle their previous relationship. It is a well written story. I kind of felt the sex scenes were very tame for a Bella Andre book. I loved Jordan, Calvin's sister and I loved Calvin and I even loved Sarah's mom Denise. My real stumbling block in loving this story was Sarah.Sarah feels her place in the world is her job and the big city and well I just could not understand that. Even the Mayor, Calvin was willing to move to be with her but she could not see that a job and a city, they do not make a life and so I had a really hard time reading her side of things. For most of the book I thought she was a fool and an idiot that she'd pick a place over love.

What a terrific start to this series. I loved the story of Calvin and Sarah. It is touching, thought provoking and heart warming, while being sexy and sweet at the same time. I'm always a sucker for second chance romances and this one is beautifully done. The secondary characters make the story even more likeable. I want to visit Summer Lake, it sounds beautiful and relaxing. Can't wait to revisit everyone it in the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

"The Best Is Yet To Come" is not only the title for Bella Andre's 1st book in the 'Summer Lake' series, but it is the best in reading by far in beautifully written romance stories today. A tearjerker story for me with a wonderful flow and details of a small town that you feel like you are a part of while reading Calvin and Sarah's story. Calvin's story will break your heart from the start, but him being a strong character, it is wonderful to see how far he has come. There is laughter too as the story entwines in the heart of the reader. We have three generations with Sarah, Sarah's mother and grandmother, and of course the carousel and 'The Lakeside Stitch and Knit which also plays a wonderful part. There is a beautiful progression of Calvin and Sarah as high school sweethearts to the angst and heartache throughout the years. We not only have a HEA for Calvin and Sarah, but you get a peek at her mother and grandmother's stories of love. A final understanding for both Calvin and Sarah as to what is important gives us the deep sighing moment that we see in all Bella Andre books. It is a story that will melt the hearts of every romantic. A must have romance libraries. Thank you to the author for gifting me "The Best Is Yet To Come". My opinion is my own. This is mine 5 Stars!

A long ago squabble between high school sweethearts led to a separation of 10+ years; a prefect setup for this second chance romance. Bella Andre concocted a potent reunion story for Sarah and Calvin. The author definitely didn't make it easy for these two. The difficulties that each character had to overcome strengthen the story. An added bonus the Monday night knitting group!

The Best Is Yet To Come is a spin-off of Bella Andre's popular Sullivan series. I love the idea of getting to spend more time at Summer Lake and especially seeing the residents get their own stories. I love a reunion love story. Honestly it is one of my favorite troupes. Calvin and Sarah have a bit more of a struggle with their reunion story thanks to their past, but I still enjoyed watching the work through their issues to find one another again. I absolutely loved that pretty much when Calvin and Sarah saw each other again after 10 years, they started dealing with the issues from their past. I felt like once they opened up communication to the past it helped them be able to talk about a possible future. I do think it took them both longer than it should have to let go of the past. In my opinion if you keep bringing the past up, you really haven't completely let it go, and they both brought it up with the disclaimer they had let it go way too many times. I loved that Calvin and Sarah's chemistry and connection remained after so many years apart. There was both a sweetness and sexiness about them being together. I loved that even as they both struggled to live in the present they each got the other completely. I also loved they could look back with adult eyes to see things from the past differently to make things work in the present. Bella Andre gives her readers a sweet and sexy story with The Best Is Yet To Come. I really enjoyed this latest visit to Summer Lake and look forward to many more visits with the residents. I'm already hoping for a few stories just based upon the friends and residents we met in The Best Is Yet To Come. Rating: 4 Stars (B) Review copy provided by publisher

I was so excited to get a new series from this author. I have never not loved one of her characters. This is a second chance love story for Sarah and Calvin. Sarah comes back to Summer Lake after years away, and Calvin has since become mayor. Bella's writing is sensual, sexy, and starts as a slow burn between characters. I thoroughly enjoyed Sarah and Calvin's story, and can't wait for more in the series.

ARC for honest review with no compensation Best is Yet to Come is the first spin off book of Summer Lake and part of the New York Sullivan series. Bella Andre knows how to bring you into the book right from the start. Well written, while giving you a look into the deepest part of the characters life and having up meet up with some old friends too! ! Calvin Vaughn, mayor of Summer Lake and Sarah Bartow were friends and lovers when they were younger but tragedy and life got in the way and they parted. Now 10 years later, Sarah comes back for a few weeks as part of her job and finds she still has feelings for Calvin that have never gone away….as only a first love stays in your heart forever… Will these two find their way back to each other and their HEA or will they just continue on the separate path to a not so happy ever after?????

Coming home can be so difficult, but sometimes so necessary. Former sweethearts, Sarah and Calvin both have unresolved issues with each other and themselves. Sarah comes back to Summer Lake, after college and city living, to pitch a new condominium project to the village. Calvin, responsible for his infant sister as a teen and now, as mayor, hopes Sarah has come back to renew old ties. When her first meeting with him is about the condos, Calvin lets her know he is against the project. Will they get a second chance, or will they be on opposite sides? Misunderstandings, heartbreak, illness, and two love stories help push this book forward into the ‘OMG I’m going to ugly cry right now’ category! Such a fabulous story. Although this is billed as a Sullivan spin-off, there is very little about the Sullivan’s except the Sullivan name being mentioned a few times. That being said, I was not disappointed with the story and can’t wait for the next book in this new series.

This is a great start this new series. Bella tells a beautiful story of family, love, loss and a second chance at romance. Sarah and Calvin's story is everything I've come to expect from a Bella Andre book and more. You definitely shouldn't miss out on this one.

What a beautiful start to a new series in Summer Lake. Bella Andre is the queen of page turning romance books, she always gets the readers invested. This is a beautiful emotional second chance romance in a small town, what more can you ask for. This book is filled with friends, family and love in a small town which always makes for a great read. I enjoyed watching the story unfold between Calvin and Sarah. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Deeply touching, sweet, beautifully emotional, heartwarming second chance love story. This journey takes you through the entire range of human emotion in the space of one day. (or it might have been just me, I devoured it in a few hours) Sarah Bartow and Calvin Vaughn went through the entire rainbow of human relationships, friends to best friends to high school sweethearts to lovers then it all fell apart. Ten long years latter they are brought back together by fate and are given a second chance at forever if only the can heal from the past and look to the future. Highly entertaining and engaging read, looking forward to visiting Summer Lake again.

What a way to start a whole new series! The Best Is Yet To Come is a spinoff from one of my favorite sweet series- the Sullivan Series. It is set in a small town in the Adirondacks. A small town where I can’t wait to see the stories that Bella will bring to life there! The Best Is Yet To Come is a second chance romance- but with a little twist. In a time when so many book heroes are players and playmakers and arrogant womanizers, the hero in this book, Calvin, completely changed his plans with his high-school love, and decided to stay in his small town to care for his orphaned sister who was months old. Taking on so much responsibility at such a young age for a guy? Completely sexy! The heroine of this book, Sarah, went off after school to live her big city, big career dreams. This was such a role reversal for typical small-town second chance romance that it really grabbed my attention. I just had to keep reading to see how this story would unfold. The Best Is Yet To Come has it all: Passion and sexy times; stubborn lovers; cute kid; and, a great secondary cast. Bella did what she does best- she gave us a great love story but even more than that, she has me all excited to see what else is going to happen in this beautiful little town. Definitely a feel-good engaging read. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this novel. I am voluntarily and freely providing an honest review.

Received an ARC for an unbiased review You really can't go wrong with Bella Andre, I am a big fan of her Sullivans series, and really took to Calvin when he was introduced in a previous book. The thing I love about Bellas books are they are so much more than your typical 'boy meets girl' story, there is so much depth to her characters, that even though you might not always agree with the characters decisions but you understand. Calvin and Sarah are made for each other but they both need to deal with their demons, and as always, they're helped by some wonderful friends and family. I can't wait to return to Summer Lake
